Komal Has spread out all the bundles all over the bed** Like the way a child spread the lego pieces** and is happily counting when There is another knock on the door. A flustered Komal quickly hides the currencies under the blanket and opens the door to be confronted by the sad faced Nainaji..Nainaji tells Komal to come and help her in the kitchen chore ** Haila !! Yeh main kya sun rahi hoon..Am I hearing it right ..Komal has become an indispensable member of the kitchen..since when??** Komal replies that She will be with Nainaji in a min.Nainaji gives a sad shake of her head indicating assent and glides off.

Sajjan Singh hands over that days earning to Amma ..Amma signs to Kesar to get a life giving, refreshing and cool water to Sajjan Singh.The dutiful Kesar with a mile long sindoor on her forehead gets a glassful of water to her Father in Law ..Sajjan Singh drinks it thankfully and glances at Kesar and is arrested by her Glum face ..Sajjan Singh is all sweet Halwa and lovingly enquires the reason for Kesar’s Glum Look, the Glum look deepens further..sajjan Singh lets loose his sajjanism saying that “Dreary thoughts is a direct hot-line to Death ” and exhorts Kesar to state her wish..Kesar is being Kesar and stands like a beanpole ,,Sajjan Singh then plays the great detective Hercule Poirot and deduces that Kesar is missing her Parents.Sajjan Singh summons his servant, orders the servant to go to Kesar’s birthplace and invite Kesar’s Parents to Allahabad and also orders the Servant to inform Kesar’s parents that Their daughter Kesar is pregnant and if they so wish they are welcome to take her with them for a few days…Sajjan Singh commands Amma to give Rs.500 to teh Servant..Amma who was shocked when she heard Sajjan Singh’s suggestion is boiling mad now, She hesitates and gives a fire spewing glance at Sajjan Singh ** NO effect** Amma dumps the note on the servants hand , all the while her frame stiffened in an tightly controlled anger.
It is night time ..Sajjan Singh and Amma have retired to the bed , Amma is still seething and simmering ..sajjan Singh is lolling on the bed** Thakur men love to loll on the bed , don’t they ** and watching Amma’s antics indulgently , sajjan Singh calls out to amma and chides her for being so short sighted..sajjan singh says that this is war ..but a war played using emotions and advocates Amma to trust him ** He seems in a good mood today, usually it is Jhootha that speaks ** Amma half heartedly says that she trusts him.
