Pratigya 26th May 2011 Written Episode

Amma comes to Krishna’s Bedroom , Pratigya is sitting deep in thought ..Amma comes to Pratigya , jovially rouses her from her contemplation , Pratigya rises on seeing the smiling face of Amma..Amma hands over the Pot, says that Pratigya’s bauji brought it from sangam, and has asked Amma to keep it in every room in the North direction…Amma gives another wide smile, happily chortles that this will be Pratigya’s last pooja and that she must pray sincerely to her deity’s for the safe happening of pooja and also Pratigya’s rule come to a close tomorrow and Pratigya will be thrown out… Pratigya is listening to all this rants in quiet agitation …Amma leaves , Pratigya is suspicious about Amma’s action’s wonders whether Amma has new tricks up her sleeve, sniffs the Pot and confirms that the pot indeed holds the water…Pratigya’s mind begins to whirr and mesh slowly wondering at what Amma’s game plan might be…
Krishna comes to the house after finishing his work, Krishna is proceeding to his room when Amma stops him , urges him to freshen up and consume something to fortify himself..Krishna promises to repay the money soonest, Amma waves it away saying that a mother is there to help her children..
Krishna l enters the bedroom in a controlled temper and where might Pratigya be ?? ..Huddled on the couch,?!! lying on the bed in deep thought ,!! crying her heart out on the terrace!! …Nay !! fair mistresses , Nay !! we find Fair Pratigya firmly ensconced in front of the mirror doing her Nails ** Reminds me of Nero playing violin while Rome burns ** Krishna comes and heads straight to the Magic closet ** Is this a closet or sirens bewitching one and all who happen to be in the vicinity ** Krishna tries to open the door and discovers it to be locked , Krishna angrily splutters out to Krishna to hand over the keys , Pratigya coos at him asking him to wait for few mins and begins to apply another coat of Polish ** Gee No wonder Amma is having such an easy run ** An irritated Krishna curtly tells Pratigya that he himself will search for the keys, but Pratigya tells him the key are with her on the dressing table ..Krishna walks in, his tread showing his mounting anger, roughly pulls out the drawer, snatches the Key in the process spilling the nail polish on to the Kalash , Pratigya remonstrates with Krishna at his rough ways, but is taken aback when Krishna furiously retorts taht it was not his fault that Pratigya had kept the kalash [pooja pot] there ..Pratigya stays mum..
NEXT MORNING
Amma is all ready and is busily arranging all the things for pooja ..Piyasiya is sitting watching Amma doing all work, A stressed Amma ** All that plotting by her pea sized brain would be stressing na** snaps at Piyasiya , tells to stop wasting time and get cracking ..Piyasiya gets up cumbersomely ** All that extra baggage , the Poor girl has to lift it all by her herself ** ..Amma glares at her retreating behind and viciously mouths that her booty is extending with all that kaamchoring .
Amma gives a shout out and all the ladies come out bearing their respective pots ..Amma takes it and begins placing it by the havan ..Shakthi and Krishna too come..Amma tells Krishna to sit in the center since the Pooja is for him..Sajjan Singh also says that the pooja has been organized for the exclusive benefit of Krishna and also for prosperity, happiness and peace of the house..threatens Amma that there should not be a lapse in the Pooja else Amma will get it ..Amma just turns a deaf ear to Sajjan Singh’s threats , replies that nothing will go wrong… Kesar and Amma begins to make a crude Doll representing the Deity , Then Amma smears the sacred Swastik on the coconut to the accompaniment of a devotional song in the background ..And in this serious and busy proceedings, A deviation will occur in the form of Piyasiya dropping the bowl of Ghee , Amma will immediately turn to look at the noise and scolds Piyasiya for her clumsiness and so will the rest of the family members .. taking advantage of the this lapse, Amma stealthily switches Pratigya’s Kalash with the Kerosene one..
Amma begins to light the lamps placed atop the kalash, and when she approaches one particular pot, she begins to sniff , Sniff,Sniff goes she, wrinkles her nose and gives tongue to her next plot, Amma says aloud that there is a smell of kerosene emanating from the pot, An incensed Sajjan Singh warns Amma to stop doing drama and not create any unpleasantness during the holy pooja ..Amma retaliates saying that she too wants the pooja to be completed successfully and she is not joking about the Kerosene either.. Shakhti who had been watching this keenly comes and checks the Kalash and confirms that one of the pots does contain kerosene enough to kill Amma and burn the house down, Sajjan Singh orders Shakhti to smite all the flames and also orders Amma to move away else she will be roasted ..Shakthi points at excitedly at Krishna and gleefully wants to know whether he had made plans to kill his own mother, An irked Krishna retorts that he brought the pot just the way Shakhti had done and says he does not even know what it contains… Sajajn Singh wonders how the water changed to Kerosene and who wanted to create mischief .. Krishna denies any wrong doing ..Sajjan Singh ominously adds that this is not a work of animals but taht of an intelligent, educated person who has an axe to grind … Amma whispers in shock “Pratigya”…
Amma turns the water works, goes to Pratigya and whimpers out that Amma had always looked at Pratigya as her own daughter, treated her even better than Komal and Pratigya repays her by planning to kill her. Amma digs in deep saying that if Pratigya wants to kill her, she is ready to lay down her life and even while taking last breath, Amma will have only blessings for Pratigya not one word of curse will escape through her lips… Amma takes a breath pleads to know what wrong did she do , Amma had in fact had hidden y’day matter from Krishna and she ahd not even said a word about it ..Pratigya is shocked on hearing this and is stunned into quietness … A puzzled Krishna who had been listening to this in silence now breaks it and demands to know whether anything did happen y’day .. Amma pretends not to reveal anything ..Kesmma butts in saying forgot about y’days incident and focus on today’s ..but Krishna will not have it and insists on knowing about the incident .. Kesmma narrates the incident with relish adding her own two bits and exaggerating the events..Kesar tells her to be quiet and not to exaggerate but kesmma tells her to be quiet..Ghanti Dadi glares at Kesmma .. Krishna again wishes to know the reason and Kesmma is only to to provide, Kesar again tries to shush Kesmma saying that even she was there and nothing serious had happened , Ghanti dadi now comes in and point blankly wants to know from Krishna whether Pratigya is capable of doing the things as mentioned by Kesmma, An indignant Kessma retorts that Pratigya twisted Amma’s hands in front of u and u are asking whether Pratigya is capable of doing it ,Shakthi tells Kesar to be quiet ,tells Krishna that all the ladies are Pratigya Party members and will not come out with truth, directs Krishna to seek the truth from Pratigya herself . Kesmma excuses herself for butting in..Krishna grinds out that everybody are lying Pratigya can never do that ..kesmma replies that what is wrong is wrong and she can never stand silent when wrong is going on .. Kessma thrusts the knife further by saying that Krishna will realize the truth when Pratigya successfully kills Amma .. Amma , the tragic and desolate amma emotionally blackmails Krishna saying that Sons are not bothered about their mother, it is their wife and their happiness that comes first, turns to Pratigya and gives permission to Pratigya to kill her, laments taht the DIL who had to serve her is preparing the funeral pyre ..But Amma can never hate Pratigya cos she has always loved Pratigya and will continue to love Pratigya …Sajjan Singh is listening to all this with narrowed eyes and rapt attention ..Amma further goads saying that Pratigya is free to kill her..Pratigya has ahd enough , breaks out saying that Amma is not doing right, if she does not care about Pratigya, it’s ok but think about ur own Son and his life…demands to know why Amma is intent on poisoning his own son’s life ..Krishna tells Pratigya to drop all that and explain to him what the hungama is all about..Pratigya beseeches Krishna to understand Amma’s strategy, tells Krishna that Amma is trying to break their relationship ..Krishna is shocked…

Pratigya 4th May 2011 Written Update

Recap : Krishna gets bail , Pratigya gives cold shoulder …Aarushi comes visiting Adarsh in Jail and the two Prodigals confer, with Aarushi promising to get a lawyer …

TODAY

We Find Krishna casually leaning against the Pillar of his Dhaba looking Grumpy and frumpy ** cos the Missus left him to fend for himself** and no customers in the Dhaba, not even a Makki [Fly], Tunna is regretting that all the effort they put in has gone down the drain ** Yeh Akal Pehle hona chahiye na ** ..The ever faithful Lieutenant Chandu approaches Krishna seeks directives as to the next stage …Krishna profoundly replies that since he could not get to see his muse, his Brain has gone for a stroll ..Krishna walks and sits on the chair dejectedly..Moby Dick arrives holding a plate containing Kulfi ** Humiii, save some for me too **.. extols the taste of his kulfi , tells Krishna that customers can be brought back by offering them free kulfi as an incentive to cool their hot brains …A highly irritated Krishna who had been telling the Cook not to bother just throws out the dessert hotly exclaims that Home has become hell and he comes to Dhaba and this too turn into hell …Hell is within u , Baba ,,wherever u go Hell will follow you, Khair yeh baat sunni hai..Shaadi woh ladoo hai..jo khaoge tho pachthaoge, nahi khaoge tho bhi pachthaoge…So cheer up Grin and bear it… ..But Krishna is not the grinning and bearing type..he walks out,gets on his horse and vrooms off…

Sidhant, Kanoon, Adarsh Ghar

For a change the saxena’s have opted for the coffee table conference …we find Saxena,Pratigya seated and Aarushi doing guard duty by standing behind her Papa..Pratigya is placating her Father and is expressing her confusion as to why Adarsh chose this route, Sax replies that Adarsh became greedy and all the wrong routes appeared attractive ..Aarushi butts in with her opinion ,informs that ofc Adarsh did wrong, but the time for thinking how to get Adarsh out , After all he is the son of the house ..A bitter Sax retorts that Adarsh did a mistake and he is not a child anymore, He,sax tried to show him the result o f his path, but he refused to heed his advise and now he is reaping the fruits of the seed he had sown, says that it would be better if Adarsh gets his punishment ..A anxious Aarushi points outs that Shyamu had always thought them to hate the Sin rather than the sinner…so why is Shyamu not trying to remove the vice residing in Adarsh …But Shyamu refuses to get Adarsh out..Komal who had been listening to his chit chat intervenes and questions Shyamu’s assertion’s and wonders whether Shyamu has an ounce of affection and love for his progeny, Komal wants to know whether Adarsh really is sax’s Son … A roused Pratigya steps up to defend her Papa..Pratigya proclaims that Papa loves all the Kids equally ..But Principles cannot be sacrificed for Love,Adarsh chose this route voluntarily and Adarsh shud realize the pitfalls of this dangerous route , If Adarsh is brought back so easily, he will get even more courage to go deeper into the world of vice…Komal cuts Pratigya’s explanation , curtly tells them that you people can explain all this cut and dried thing’s beautifully in ur useless principled world..there is no place for Relationships, bonds,Love and affection’s…You are willing to sacrifice your Son , so that you can preen as a principled people ..Komal coldly informs them there is no need for them to get bail for Adarsh cos she, Komal has her father…Komal proudly says that we uneducated people know the value of relation’s and he will definitely get Adarsh back and then you can continue ur lamentation.The Saxxena’s look Chagrined ** Their thunder has been stolen **

The Police choose this moment to arrive at Saxena House, They have come to search the House and they have the warrant ..Pratigya naively question’s whether all this is necessary right now** Should we tell them to come back after 3-4 years** ..A beleaguered Saxena tells the officials to proceed with their search …The police begin searching up and down, over turning, tearing everything ,looking up and down and soon get a cache of Cash, Gold and other ends ..the Saxena’s are shocked by the amount of wealth that Adarsh has accumulated ..while the Inspector wittily remarks that Adarsh appears to have been granting loans right from home itself… The police leave promising that they will be meeting again in the court …

The police come out, get on their vehicles and move on ..all this is watched by the neighbors who comment on this event

While Inside the saxena’s begin re assembling, re-arranging all the things strewn about ..Shyamu is arranging Books , when he comes across a trophy that Adarsh had won in his childhood days ..There is a brief Flashback wherein Shyamu is telling Adarsh never ever to let go of principles… Shyamu breaks down thinking about the past …On the other side Pratigya is arranging books in a cupboard, she holds one and she has her FB moment wherein Shyamu is saying that Books teaches us principles,the good and the Bad, the right and the wrong..The teaching of the books must be followed implicitly …for this principles ensures that truth will triumph in the end…P has a small smile..Aarushi is sweeping up all the odds and ends …The saxena’s are fully involved in restoring their house..

THAKUR”S HOUSE

Pratigya comes back to the haveli, and is greeted by Ghanti dadi ..Ghanti Dadi hails Pratigya and tells her to sit closer to her..Pratigya pulls out a stool and sits by her ..Ghanti Dadi commiserates with Pratigya and states that it is all the matter of fate ..Pratigya negates it and replies that it is the matter of Karma…Good deed = Good Karma, Bad deed = Bad Karma …Adarsh has done bad deed and his Karma is punishing him ..Amma comes out with a glass of water, hands it to Pratigya and agrees with Pratigya’s assessment , Ghanti Dadi is quite shocked by this new Amma and is gawping at her…Krishna walks in , spies Pratigya with the water glass, walks up to her, demands to know how long she intends to be angry with him cos he does not like all this suspense..Amma intervenes and demands to know as to why Krishna indulged in the brawl when he knew very well that Pratigya does not like such things, Krishna retorts that any man in his place would have done the same thing that he had done, points out that the Radhe who never dared to raise his eyes when speaking to Krishna is boldly trying to destroy Krishna’s dhaba and he Krishna is supposed to put up with it stoically…Shakthi who had wandered , lends his support to Krishna and tells him had he been in Krishna’s place, he would have chopped him to pieces , in such a way that they have required a sack to carry the pieces home for the funeral, Shakthi reluctantly tells him that the Prasad was not that much, but anyways it did the trick buut had it been him, he would have strangled Radhe, Krishna enthusiastically replies that , that is exactly what he wanted to do .. It was vital to teach him a lesson , Krishna says that he wanted o teach him the effects of meddling with Krishna Singh..Pratigya plonks the Tumbler down, stands up** Why cant she state sitting down** demands to know what did beating up of Radhe achieve , his business has been shutdown, his hard work all gone to dust bec of Krishna’s one little mistake ..Pratigya plies it thickly by saying that Krishna is not even feeling a Mgm of remorse but is actually gloating over beating up of Radhe..Pratigya poses a few question’s..Pratigya wants to know whether Krishna was able to save the Dhaba after beating Radhe , gives the answer herself saying NO!1 Krishna could not save his Dhaba and on top of that he has brought himself new difficulties by entangling with a brute …Pratigya finally reaches the end and emphatically states that after all the hoopla ..Krishna has to restart his Dhaba again , with a new approach ..An Angry and Miffed Krishna takes out the Dhaba Keys throws it down says that he does not want to run the Dhaba anymore, does not want to do any job ** defeatist ** … The members are shocked while Kessmma suppresses a smirk

Pratigya 3rd may 2011 written update

Krishna is sitting on the stone bench,looking at Adarsh , confusion and puzzlement in equal proportion ,residing complacently on his face .. A confounded Krishna wonders as to why an educated, decent, God fearing Honest Man has come to visit the bigger house .. and that too being a brother of A law Knowing, principled Pratigya Krishna wildly and Idly speculates on Adarsh’s crime, wondering perhaps whether Adarsh forgot to remove his footwear and went with his shoes on into the temple ** I am not putting u on, This was really there in the dialogue ** or whether Adarsh parked his gaadi on the wrong side … Adarsh is walking to and fro like an caged Lion ..while Komal has taken over the guarding of the lil chick [Adarsh] …Komal tells Krishna to put the lid on , Looks at Adarsh and warbles that she has brought a Special Tea for him, which is churlishly refused by Adarsh, An Irrepressible Krishna pips out and tells Komal to get Adarsh Breakfast too..An exasperated Komal ticks off Krishna again [Quite an amusing Segment}..

Just Then Amma walks in to the police Station,Krishna is surprised by Amma’s presence in the Jail , stands by the prison Bars…Amma makes a bee line for Adarsh, Komal narrows her kohl lined eyes , opens the war painted Lips and sarcastically demands to know what brought Amma to the prison , was it her Son or the Son In Law..deducing correctly that Amma was pulled in by her maternal instincts quips bitterly that today it is proved that there is differentiation between Son and Son In Law ** Ofc, there is and there will be ** …Amma turns to look at Adarsh, commiserates with him , informs him that she tried her best to get Bail for him too but was unable to do so ..Komal is seething and takes Amma to task, says that nobody loves her, only bauji loves her and only Bauji can help her ..the Lawyer intervenes and tries to explain to Komal the gravity of Adarsh’s crime which is shrugged off by Komal Who hotly demands to know whether beating a Guy nearly sensless is worse or accepting gifts and that too one which comes to their house is worse ..Coldly informs the lawyer to stop practicing law , since he cant differentiate between a beating and receiving gifts and is unable t get her darling Hubby ..Krishna who had been raptly following this conversation finally realizes the purpose of Adarsh’s incarceration and mutters to his friends that this vehicle has been towed to the station for this crime …

Komal is in full flow and an annoyed Woman Police official seriously informs Amma To take Komal with her and else she may get herself arrested …An embarrassed Amma tells komal to shut up …Gets Krishna released..Krishna comes out saying that Amma has become Bauji now …A seething Amma just glowers at him

HAVELI

Shakthi strolls out of his room after his nap, rolling his sleeves complaining bitterly at the lack of care regarding his intake of Protein, carbohydrates ,Extra large amount of Cholesterol, fats ,Vitamins etc etc…In short he wants his Breakfast !! ..Shakhti is royally cheesed off that Breakfast is not yet ready and none to go and prepare it..all are immersed in their own life…Blah Blah…A heavily Pregnant Kesar gets up slowly and is waddling towards the Kitchen…but is stopped by Ghanti Dadi who seeks Kesar’s help to remove a non existent dirt which had fallen inside her eyes, Kesar goes to help her ** I thought a heavily Pregnant woman cannot bend **..Pratigya slowly shuffles out of the Bedroom and stands on the threshold of Kitchen, waiting for the barbs to come flying at her..Sure enough Shakhti lets enough fusillade to bury her ** Since u know , Shakhti and kesmma will rip u to shred, why stand there invitingly instead of hurrying into Kitchen **

Whilst all of them are at their respective station, Our Hero makes his grand entry with Amma pulling his ears..and berating him for his foolish acts , Krishna looks at Pratigya, Pratigya ignores him and just walks into the kitchen , giving him a undisturbed view of her Back ..Krishna realizes he is in a pickle ..and is looking at her , turns his pleading Puppy eyes at Amma who curtly tells him to seek Pratigya’s forgiveness and Goddess’s Forgiveness ** In that Order**

All this by-play makes Shakthi one sore bear, Shakthi complains bitterly that when he went to prison, noone were least bothered by his plight, it was either we can try and Shakthi out or Shakthi can rot in hell… Shakthi demands to know how much bail money was offered to get Krishna out …Krishna is oblivious of Shakthi’s aggrieved complaints and is keenly and guiltily watching Pratigya’s action’s…Amma tells him to go and seek Pratigya’s forgiveness…Krishna walks hesitatingly towards the kitchen, Pratigya studiously ignores him …

It’s night time…

Krishna has changed into his nightwear … Pratigya comes in and rushes to the closet ** It is still there, don’t worry it has not vanished ** ..She opens the door , brushes Krishna’s shirt ..opens a drawer , closes it and stands there…Krishna adopts a conciliatory tone, approaches her warily , wants to know why she did not eat properly ** She is dieting** ..complete silence from Pratigya , Krishna moves a tad closer , says that something is on Pratigya’s cheeks ..But Pratigya is not bothered, Krishna fumblingly explains that Radhe was out to destroy him by planting cockroach stories and driving out customers, leading to loss and all and that he Krishna could not stand by and watch him destroy his dreams, Krishna says that he knows he has done wrong promises not to do it again , reiterates that he will follow the path of non-violence even If Radhe were to attack him …But Pratigya will not be mollified..she shrugs of his hands and dashes to the bed and sits on it, again showing her back to him ** yeh back main kya hai, Koi treasure Map **… A tired Krishna walks and sits next to her but a little further from her…Krishna again tries to give his point of view..Krishna says that Radhe was being persistent, and was intent on destroying the Dhaba , The dhaba of their dreams and he could not stand by helplessly watching it crumble , Krishna admits that hitting was not correct but that he was not spoilt for choices either, Krishna promises never to beat up anybody again , he swears it on the sacred River Ganga…Pratigya bitingly tells him not to invoke Sacred names for lost causes …retorts that it is Night ** As if we did not know ** orders him to sleep and walks to her side and proceeds to sleep…leaving a frustrated Krishna..

Meanwhile, in the Jail, Komal is still with Adarsh ** why is she guarding him so zealously, is she worried that the police lady might do something to him **… when the Police Station is honored by the esteemed presence of Aarushi..Aarushi comes in and informs her brother that everybody are worried about Adarsh at home, demands to know whether Adarsh is aware of the enormity of his deeds, and says that to err is Human ** of all the people, she would be knowing that very well **… Assures Adarsh that she will get him out somehow ** how dig a tunnel underneath his cell ** …says his case is complicated ** Are all Sax Kids born with an instant knowledge of Law ** Tells Adarsh needs a Lawyer and one will be found and he will be rescued.. Aarushi tells Komal to come with her ..and Komal walks away obediently..

NEXT MORNING

Krishna wakes up and comes out , calling out for Pratigya…but Pratigya is nowhere to be found ..Amma who comes and serves Tea to Ghanti Dadi sarcastically demands to know why Krishna is searching for Pratigya especially after hurting her and playing with her emotions ..Even Ghanti dadi wants to know the reason why Krishna hurt Pratigya ** Bec he is a human and he was provoked ** ..A defensive Krishna retorts that he did not commit any heinous crime and that Pratigya’s own brother is serving prison term, Krishna is taken aback by such a strong backlash , replies that people have committed even worse crimes and his crime is puny …Ghanti Dadi rejoins by saying that it is not about other people, it is about Krishna , It is about Pratigya and her shattered feelings …Amma finally takes pity on Krishna and reveals that Pratigya has gone for a flying visit…to Mumfordganj..Krishna is processing this !!

Pratigya 29th April 2011 Written Update

Good Evening Girls ,

Pratigya is serving the Dahi Vada to the rest of the family members at the dining table …** So who will begin the PMBJ session ** no prizes for guessing folks !! It is our mountain Woman Ghanti Laal, Ghanti Laal praises Pratigya’s Dahi vada, exclaims that she has never eaten such tasty Vada’s before ** From the way this Thakur People react to P’s Cooking, One would think that they were existing on Grass and Hay before ** … Shakthi reacts as if he is being force fed lime paste ..but point to be noted , he does not stop chowing … Amma comes to the Dining area with her cheshire cat smile , comes and stands closer to Pratigya, Pratigya is slightly uneasy by the proximity and the nearness of Amma..Ghanti Dadi tells Amma to have her share of Dahi vada else everything will be consumed and none will be left for her , Amma complacently simpers that she already had her share , and it was the yummiest Vada ever, She turns to look at Pratigya and goes on PMBJ session , Pratigya is confused by the dual faced,fork tongued Amma, wonders within herself whether this is real Amma ** NO!!!** or the one she saw in the Kitchen was the real one, Pratigya is confused ** Arrrgh , Tum Tho, Tum Tho…Oh !! Just leave it , no need to burst my nerve trying to find the prefect n polite adjective to describe u ** ..Amma sits Pratigya on the chair and hand feeds Pratigya , while confounded stares at her … ** Am I the only one who is getting nauseous ** .. Shakthi has had enough … demands to know whether Amma has gone mad ** No, Beta ..she is turning u all mad ** and what is so special about the Dahi Vada ** Blasphemer ** … sarcastically informs Amma that if she found it so good, to hang it on the door and worship, pushes the plate away saying that he did not like it and will not eat ..Amma admonishes him , tells him that one should not insult food, turns cloying and begins feeding Pratigya again …

BABA KA DHABA [ always feel as if I am saying Abracadabra ]

Krishna is all busy and rushing around like a bright and bushy Squirrel when he notices customers waiting ..The customers inform him that they have been waiting for eternity and are unable to get a seat ..Krishna becomes all entrepreneur-ish..takes a look at his kingdom, watched in awe by his faithful sergeants , Krishna plans on adding few more extra tables and chairs in the courtyard, waves his magic wand and presto..The place is set to accommodate few more people..Tunna and Chandu are lost in admiration at Krishna’s quick thinking, while Krishna shrugs it off modestly..

Pratigya is chopping vegetables for Lunch …Thankfully seeing Cabbage today instead of the usual Spinach and Lauki , … Pratigya’s phone rings … Pratigya answers the phone only to discover that it is her Bhoothnaath at the other end …Bhoothnath Is complaining that he is getting very tired because of the large number of customers ** It’s not even mid-day..No Stamina at all ** Pratigya looks at the positive side saying that it implies that the Dhaba is a success, But Krishna is more intent on his own list , Krishna tells pratigya that he wants her attention n TLC in the form of a massage,back rub ..and also it can be extended into a pleasurable lengthy session, Pratigya is all coy and blushing ..while Krishna wants to know whether it is a yes or no from her side ..Pratigya dilly-dallies and finally assents… ** Kya Zamana aagaya hai , ekko TLC moment ke liye bhi appointment lena padraha hai **

HAVELI

Pratigya, Kesar,Ghanti dadi and Piyasiya along with Kesmma are in the dining room ..Ghanti dadi tells Pratigya to start thinking about having a child now …Says that she can die peacefully after seeing her Great Grandchild ..pratigya reproves Ghanti ,Informs Ghanti that She must be the who will be taking care and playing with them ..Kesar too adds her bit by saying that now everything is normal, Pratigya should give serious thought about becoming Mother..before Pratigya can reply, Kesmma insinuates that Prolly Pratigya does not want to lose her freedom or something [ sorry was not listening to kessmma , my imagination at work here ] Pratigya negates this and gives a MB that would have made the Family Planning commission proud , Amma comes in just at this moment and staunchly supports Pratigya’s stand by remarking that Krishna has started to work now and Pratigya is still young ..They have all the time ahead ..The women react as if hit by Thunderbolt..They cant believe that this is the same women who was always hankering after babies …

DHABA

Radhe comes to the Dhaba , has the mandatory plate of Chole Bature , stealthily removes a roach from his pocket , swishes it in the bature, holds it aloft and begins to draw attention on himself by creating a ruckus … Radhe is making a huge show of getting roach in his stew and is advising the customers not to eat such cheap and unhygienic foods ..Krishna is holding on to his temper and informs Radhe to beat it and not create any problems ..Radhe uses this opportunity to say that once a Gunda always a gunda, points out to people that he was being decent and was informing them of the poor standards maintained in the Dhaba and for his trouble, Krishna is threatening to beat him up … Radhe gathers his friends and stages a walk out followed by all the customers..Krishna is left watching this scene with eyes burning like a hot coal ** Radhe Beta, Agar zara sa bhi akal hei, tho chup ja **

Now we come to the only Sensible segment

Adarsh arrives in a car to his bank, he gets down from the car and is surrounded by his colleagues who wish him..and demand sweets from him for getting a brand new car..Adarsh offers sweets to all ..This activity is watched ad noted by two officious looking people from a distance

Pratigya comes out of the Dhaba, Komal stops her by wanting to know whether Pratigya will help her brother or not..Pratigya firmly retorts that Adarsh was arrested bec he took bribes ..just then Police arrive and announce that they have come to arrest Krishna for beating up Radhe..One of the police steps forward with a Handcuff, Krishna waves it off and walks towards the Jeep..Pratigya yells Krishna…and is on the verge of going behind him when Komal stops her and wonder’s what her principles and valuse say this time…Pratigya stands still..

Pratigya 28th April 2011 Written Update

The Episode Finds Pratigya resting in her Bedroom, Slightly Guilt ridden Krishna comes in looks at stolid Pratigya, states contritely that he,Krishna never meant to hurt her..Pratigya understand his intention's tells him to let go ...Krishna sees a big plaster stuck on to Pratigya's wrist.. Krishna penitently demands to know why Pratigya always refuses to do what his heart wants ..why she puts up a roadblock ,continuing his monologue says that he is quite happy that Amma castigated him for injuring Pratigya and is convinced that Pratigya has won Amma's heart too ..

Tho Krishna has began to say that P refuses him constantly, will this point be used to cause a furor between him n P by Amma, Shakthi ..another sore point..why does P always backtracks and never talks it through with her hubby ...

We are taken to the terrace to witness the glorious spectacle of Shakthi having his oxygen , we get a glimpse of a pair of legs Approaching Shakthi Hurriedly... The feet stops at the cot..and we have our glimpse of Kessmma... Kesmma makes herself comfortable on the cot ** I have never seen Kesar this comfortable with Shakthi ** laughingly informs that she was searching the whole house and Shakthi was on the terrace all the time ** Bechara has come for Shanti, n ur arrival ensures its destruction ** ..Kesmma is like an eager Beaver , She is all agog to know what are Shakthi's future plans, But is more intent on enjoying the present, and does not give any sort of intelligent reply ..Kesmma notices the Bottle of liquor for the first time ** Ithni waqt nazar Shakthi par hi tiki huithi na , aise lagtha hai duniya mein Shakthi alawa kouno ddoja hai hi nahi ** Kesmma delicately enquires regarding the content of the bottle, Shakthi replies that it is ambrosia...It appears that Kesmma too has a penchant for Ambrosia and she also asks for a glass of the ambrosia, Shakthi pours it for her..Kesmma takes the glass, sips it hiding behind her sari's pallu..Shakthi watches amused ..After lapping up a whole Glass of Liquor in one gulp, Kesmma prods her SIL , wanting to know what sort of business will Shakthi do ..Shakthi orders Kesmma not to talk about the business-visness else the high that he has secured after so much difficulty will come crashing down like wall street stocks...kesmma is an understanding woman, understands Shakhti's views, refrains from badgering Shakhti, assures Shakthi that even if he were not having any idea..Kesmma is there to take care of him ...Shakthi appears to be quite intoxicated Kesmma thinks that Shakthi is too far gone to notice that she is sneaking in another peg..and tries to slurp another one, but Shakthi still has enough wits to realize that Kesmma is cheating him, stops her from imbibing the second one, claims ownership rights on the peg.Kesmma is impressed by her vigilant Son-in-Law .. Pretty soon the Two drunk Bugs are singing away the night...while in the Downstairs, Kesar is all ready for the bed ** How come Kesar suddenly sprouts a overtly visible baby bump ** ..there is a knock on her bedroom door,followed by Kesmma's voice urging her daughter to open the door..Kesar waddles to the door and sees the two dignified Kins standing quite at attention..Kesmma tells Kesar to take Shakthi gently inside, An irritated Kesar gets closer to hold Shakthi's hand and getts a whiff of Alchol in Kesamma's breath as well..Kesar is outraged , demands to know whether Kesmma too had the vile stuff..Kessma reproves Kesar for calling it vile and sasy the smell is fragrant..Kesar is not in the mood to pursue the debate ** She is no Pratigya ** takes hold of Shakthi's hand and leads him in, while Kesmma takes her leave ..Shakhti stumbles towards the bed and flops on it while Kesar stands watching ** Deja Vu..Ithihaas phirse daudne lagi **

Quite an interesting scene for the fact that Kesmma has openly hinted that she will be the one controlling Shakthi and his finances in the future and also that even though Shakthi will be far gone, he realizes and pulls back in the nick of time ..saving whatever from being gulped by Kesmma.

Next Morning looms bright and clear at the Haveli , Pratigya is busy in the kitchen..Krishna comes looking for her, sees her in the kitchen and says that he is leaving for the Dhaba ** His new love** cos there are plenty of work to be done, but Pratigya refuses to grant her permission , conveys that Krishna has to taste her Dhai wada [ A slightly sour and savory dish ] ..Krishna is all excited , comes closer to her , says that he has never refused anything she said or wanted him to do. but Alas !1 Today he truly has some mighty important work and has to leave soon ...**Ek vada khaane mein kithne ghante lagenge, Beta , Usski Thasali ke liye tho Khao ** ..Amma walks into the kitchen and Pratigya seeks her support in getting Krishna to eat ..Amma upbraids Krishna for teasing Pratigya so much, commands Krishna to eat whet Pratigya has so lovingly prepared.Krishna bows down before Amma's loving orders and begins to chow down..Krishna takes a bite, is thunderstruck by the delicious taste, exclaims that he has never tasted such a tasty Dahi Vada his entire life , resolves to add this in the menu for Dhaba..Krishna gets thirsty, and asks his Amma to give him a glass of water..Amma moves to get the water, the moment Amma's Back is turned , Krishna hurriedly pulls in Pratigya and lands a firm smooch on her cheeks ...** ofc we being the lesser privileged , we get a clear and uninterrupted view of her glistening hair **..Pratigya is all smiles and pushes him indicating Amma is there , K is as usual bindaas.. Amma turns and both become the innocent, simple babes.. Krishna takes his leave.. turns at the door of the kitchen says quite meaningfully that it was quite yummy and sweet, Amma is puzzled as to how a sour dish can be sweet..Krishna hastily recoups and says that the dish was both sweet and sour , smiles and leaves .

Pratigya has set another plate and offers it to Amma, Amma takes a bite, praises Pratigya's culinary habits, A happy Pratigya asks Amma to continue her eating , while she finishes her pending work and come..Pratigya leaves , while going her Sari gets caught on the nail of the door.. Pratigya turns to remove the sari's pallu caught on the nail and encounters a strange and disturbing sight of Amma disposing of the Dahi Vada , which Amma had just praised into the DUSTBIN !!!ShockedShocked ...Pratigya watches this action bewildered ..

Again a hint that Krishna who has never refused Pratigya before will refuse or my turn his back but will listen to Amma ..The Control key slowly but surely shifting to Amma...

WE Now turn our reluctant attention on the Saxena Family

The Honest and God fearing saxena's are having a impromptu conference in the bedroom... Nainaji as usual jumps to the conclusion that her darling, innocent son has come under the evil influence of the Thakurs and is besmirching Papa Saxena's fair name...says that adasrh insulted his father today, there was not even a hint of affection in his eyes..Dadi as is her won't pours the oil in to the flame by agreeing to Nainaji's conviction's and adding that Adarsh insulted his father's values , discarded all the principles with which he was inculcated..Aarushi comes in from where she was leaning on, asks her Papa as to why Saxena did not scold Adarsh, after all Adarsh is his child and when a errant child is committing a mistake, parents have the right to bring the child in line ** Look who is talking **..But Nainaji negates this assertion by saying that Adarsh has gone too far for them to ever catch up, he does not need them and determines to cut off all relationships with Adarsh and his wife..An agitated Saxena just ups and walks away ...

A few mins later, Nainaji comes up to the terrace and sees the professor huddled in deep distress, Nainaji goes up to him and tries to console him..Shyamu gets up and begins to speak ** why cant he sit and talk , are the ants biting him ** ..Shyamu says that all this years he had been guarding his values and principles zealously, he, Shyamu saxena has lived his life on this principles and today he is called a defeated man bec of his principles ** Not only defeated, I would also add whiner to that list ** ..Shyamu apologizes to nainaji for not providing her with materialistic pleasure..Nainaji opens her eyes to the fullest degree ** Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen ,tururu,tururu ** and impales us with a startled look , hastily reassures the professor that she has never desired for material wealth and she is quite content with the love and affection's present in their relationship ..

Morning dawns and with it Adarsh's demand for juice and salad to be packed...The polite, refined, sophisticated saxena's listen to Adarsh's strictures with a vinegar expression..Komal replies that she has paked [packed] them all..Adarsh comes to the Kitchen to take the lunch box..when Komal puts in her request .. Komal wants an AC in the bedroom..Adarsh promises to get her one tomorrow and begins to hurry towards the exit followed by Komal who shouts out to Adarsh to come early in the evening , so that they both could go for an evening ride..Adarsh turns to reply that he will come and dashes his head against the door...Nainaji is stunned , whispers Adarsh and rushes but stops herself and stands by Komal..Komal just stands there watching ...Adarsh rrecovers composes himself , says Bye to Komal and leaves ..Dadi starts her morning rituals by predicting that pretty Soon Adarsh will set up his own separate establishment...

The saxena's resume their gloomy vigil...

Their constant harping on adarsh being dumped only suggests that Adarsh will be accepted back with open arm..The directorial touch of Adarsh banging his head was good indicating that trouble has already approached ..What was unacceptable was the contradictory statement of Saxena and Nainaji ...Both said that they value relationship more but were sold out on the idea of marrying a school going Aarushi to a stranger without bothering to know about his background only knowing that he earns well and swallowing their avowed principles by burying the JM case when they realize that Mathur's are a wealthy catch...

Pratigya 27th April 2011 Written Update

Krishna comes to the newly opened Dhaba , Swaggers in , takes a look at the cook frying something in the oil , tells him to do it 3-4 at a time ** Yeh Kabse eggspert bangaya** ..wanders over to the head cook’s side, and begins to taste the Channa ** Careful, Bhai..U r assuming humanoid shape , Dont get Pearish again ** . Chandu enquires the whereabouts of Pratigya , Krishna replies that Pratigya stayed back at home and is taking care of the Home affairs else Shakhti will inaugurate a new issue ..

A group of college Girls come to the Dhaba, stand looking at it and talking excitedly admiring the location of the Dhaba, one saying that if the food is good will come with her BF ..After completing their grim and confidential discussion in the middle of the road..The Girls troop inside to have a bite,… of the food , and not the Handsome Hunks .. ** U naughty dahlings**.The girls occupy a table ..and holler out for someone to take their order..All three Krishna, Chandu, Tunna turn towards the sound like sunflower turning towards the Sun ..Krishna tells Chandu to get their order ..Chandu passes up this golden opportunity and hands it to Tunna, Tunna receives a 1000 volt jolt .Chandu continues , says that Practice what Pratigya taught you, Go , Go and take order..Tunna..Oh !! Has she taught only me..hasn’t Pratigya taught u anything..Go and take the order yourself..The Girls are getting impatient . Tunna hollers out that they will be right there .. and orders Chandu to get the orders …The two chipmunks bicker a lot , each not wanting to go as a waiters in front of the young girls..Krishna is watching this with folded hands..Krishna interposes , sarcastically enquires whether they are done, and states that the girls have not come to marry them, so stop strutting like wannabe Bridegroom ..Krishna goes to them, The girls are super impressed with Krishna’s handsome looks , gush that the waiter is looking berry handsome **had he been a little willing,They would have eaten him alive then and there** and say without any heat that they were wondering whether they had to satiate their hunger by eating the fragrant air , Krishna wittily replies that Air can be eaten anywhere but for now it would be better if they placed their order and consumed something solid ..Krishna comes back with the order …

OUTSIDE BKD

Komal comes riding the white elephant , Her Car…Komal hails Krishna and shows off her car… There is a few inane words exchanged expressing admiration for the car and all..Then Krishna tells Adarsh to enjoy his drive ** We never saw Adarsh driving before, when did he go to driving class ** Adarsh and Komal proceed on their merry jaunt while Krishna gets a tad worried over the sudden wealth of Adarsh …

POWERPUFF GIRLS..

Kesar and Kesmma are engaged in household chores, while Pratigya is busily writing on a letter pad..Ghanti Dadi comes in and drops her light bulk on the dainty chair and queries about the activity of Pratigya..Pratigya replies that she is doing accounting of the Dhaba’s expense ** Arrey P..y so much possessiveness, we have got yemi here, she will positively do it for free if u promise to let her feast on K, only eyes , mind u ** ..So the many capped Chemistry major has accountancy under her belt too … Amma comes, Applauds Pratigya for her action’s, gives permission for Pratigya to help Krishna ..and remonstrates with Pratigya for not taking care of her health..Discovers that Pratigya has dry hair… takes her to the sofa .. and starts to massage oil into Pratigya’s scalp overriding Pratigya’s hesitancy…Ghanti Dadi is surprised by this excessive show of affection’s…tells Amma to save some TLC for future moments , Amma says that this is not the love of a MIL but that of Mother..takes a sly dig at Ghanti Dadi saying that Ghant dadi could never be a Mother to her, Amma while Amma could never treat her like a Mom…but Pratigya has changed all that..Pratigya has always treated me like a mother ** Huh!! Tanthya swallows a pill, which is guaranteed to induce Amnesia.so that I will forget all the unmother moments ** ..Just then Phone rings Amma attends and Komal relays the news that Adarsh has got a new car..Amma feels happy on hearing this..while Pratigya is perturbed ..

WORRY.WARY,WARRY HOUSE

Adarsh and Komal have returned to the pavilion and are waylaid by Shyamu who informs Adarsh that he wants a Heart to Heart session right then, Adarsh obliges..Shyamu saxena takes him to another room, fires the first salvo Shyamu wants to know from where did Adarsh get so much money to purchase a swanky new car..Adarsh tries to wiggle out, retorting that nowadays everyone buys it easily and that nowadays nobody cares how the objects came about but what the person actually posses ..moreover this is a shortcut world, everybody wants to improve their status and I am also doing the same ..Shyamu will not let go so easily..replies that he has a good understanding of the “SHORTCUT” and also how SHORTCUT works, also the means from which a common bank employee is capable of buying a car suddenly..The Barb hits home, Adarsh gets restless, Unable to face the Principled Shaymu, walks away from him, turn his back on Principles n Shyamu…Adarsh goes on the offensive, bursts out that Shyamu’s thinking is old and narrow, which is noty in sync with the contemporary society , Adarsh demands to know what Shyamu has achieved by constantly chanting the principles and values Mantra , All Shyamu could achieve was a scooter , tells his father that he cannot stay like that ..Adarsh walks back to his father..confronts him , curtly tells him that Shyamu is unable to digest the fact that Adasrh has risen very fast and in a young age ..that Shyamu is feeling jealous at the success of Adarsh..Adarsh turns the screw even tighter by coldly informing Shyamu that He is a defeated and weak man..Adarsh demands to know what has Shyamu ever given to the family apart from bulky,unwieldy, big and empty words ..which does not have any resonance with the current society…Adarsh quite emphatically states that Shyamu is just jealous…After delivering this zinger Adarsh stomps out by passing the women of the Saxena household, not even sparing a glance of affection at them..while Shyamu sits crushed and beaten..

HAVELI AGAIN

Krishna hurries in ..Ghanti Dadi stops him and asks him how was the business today..Krishna as usual replies that the Business was too good ..he was busy the entire day ..Amma is very happy, enquires keenly whether lots of people came to the Dhaba..Krishna replies that the crowd was so much that he Krishna is planning on hiring some more helpers , to help in the smooth functioning of the Dhaba …Pratigya comes in with glass of water .. Krishna tells Pratigya..no need for the water and all..proudly takes out his day’s earnings …says that he made 7000 and odd today..Ghanti Dadi reproves Krishna , telling him not to cast evil eyes on his own earnings .. a dour Shakthi who had come and was standing behind Krishna bitterly quips that Krishna is showing off but not to Ghanti Dadi but to him Shakthi…Shakthi dares Krishna saying that when he starts his business ..He will rake in so much money that even the terrace will not be sufficient to dry out the money ** Why, are u planning to start a counterfeiting factory** ..Krishna just looks on .

Krishna turns and encounters a grim , Set Chin Pratigya who is favouring Shakthi with one of her blank look, which we mercifully can decrypt as the angry look ** we have come a long way in understanding the many emotions of Pratigya’s impassive look, haven’t we ** ..Krishna shrugs off Shakthi’s taunts and urges Pratigya to do the same , Tells Pratigya to come with him cos he wants to get her some gold.. A smile on Amma’s face ..but what was the initial flash of expression? Amma is getting intriguing day by day …Pratigya expresses that there is no need for wasteful expenditure , This money belongs to Sajjan Singh , Sajjan Singh had given them this money on faith and Krishna has to redeem the faith reposed on Krishna, But Krishna is adamant and wants to get her GOld…Krishna holds Pratigya’s hands, and tries pulling her towards the exit .Krishna breaks a bangle in the process, the bangle scratches Pratigya’s hand,Pratigya yelps as if someone has broken her hand.. Amma springs up like a joker on the spring , strides towards Pratigya , takes a look at Pratigya’s hand..berates Krishna for his rough shod ways, promises to give him some hard spanking if he hurts Pratigya again ..orders Piyasiya to get Dettol and cotton…Kesmma and Shakthi exchange a well meaning glance…Shakhti begins to think deeply as if planning something..

Pratigya 22nd April 2011 Written Update

The women of the House began the onerous task of restoring the Dhaba again .. The men too pitch in ..they slowly begin removing the charred wooden planks and other odds and ends..They get busy in cleaning up..The Saxena's arrive and they too lend a helping hand to the already understaffed Thakur's..Krishna stands aloof, watching them, too lost in misery ...but slowly the the positive spirit pulls him and engulfs him, Krishna too begins to help everyone... Before one can blink your eyes ..The Dhaba is renovated completely ..it looks fresh and beautiful... Meanwhile all the Raw materials and the utensils have come and the cook has arranged them in the kitchen ..Sajjan Singh takes a look around, expresses happily that seeing a son standing on own feet relieves the tension for the father, States that the renovated Dhaba is much more better than the old one... Shyamu admires Sajjan Singh's atittude of standing by his son ..and helping him out, before Sajjan Singh can reply..Amma pips up saying this restoration work could happen bec of Pratigya ... having completed the renovation all the members plan on leaving to their respective homes and freshen up ...Krishna happily suggest that he shuld remain back here . Shakthi burst out that Krishna is scared that the Dhaba may have to face another catastrophe again and hence is opting to stay back...Sajjan Singh smartly shuts him ..goes to Krishna and replies in undertone that they have to find the culprit who dares to burn the Dhaba ..

FEW HOURS LATER

Krishna is all dressed up and is being a busy bee..rushing here and there checking everything, asks whetehr Chandu did the adverting properly, runs to Cook and wants to knwo whetehr all the dishes are tasty.. samples the bature and expresses appreciation..

The Thakurs arrive in style.. but are kept out by the ribbon , which bars their entry..Sajajn Singh wants to know the reason for the delay ..Krishna replies that The Saxena's have to come.The saxena's come and Sajjan Singh prodly cuts the ribbon , while Amma does the pooja , after Pratigya request her to.. The cook comes asks Pratigya to do anoher Pooja, which again Pratigya asks Amma to do .. Amam does it and places a plate in front of Sajjan Singh ..Sajjan Singh has a bite and is delighted by the flavour and taste ..Sajjan Singh offers a token A mount of Rs.500/- as a gift, Krishna and pratigya take it and seek his blessing..Next Shyamu comes and proffers a envelope , saying this is their gift ..Krishna tells Pratigya to take it ..Pratigya takes it and both seek Shyamu's blessing again.. All is bonhomie

when Sajjan Singh hears a voice pleading for Alms ..Sajjan Singh exclaims that since this is the first day of Krishna's business, he wants to collect some piety for his Son..and offers RS.100..But Pratigya quickly stops him says that Giving Alms is bad..we should give food instead..kesmma offers her 2 cents worth by saying that the first business should not be done in kind but should be in solid cash, Pratigya quickly retorts that one should not hold on to such superstition while doing a business ..Shakthi puts his 2 cent by saying all the world is on one side while Pratigya is on the other..Pratigya looks at Sajjan Singh for his final ruling, Sajjan Singh rules in Pratigya's favour..The Beggar woman gets a plate of channa bature ..The family's begin to dig in, while Krishna is getting increasingly anxious that no customers are visiting his Dhaba ..He once again gets confirmation from chandu whether he really did advertise in Allahabad, Chandu replies in affirmative and as if to prove him right, a family comes to eat at at he dhaba..Krishna gets happy ..and he welcomes them..The family members ahve finished their eating and are taking their leave .. Shyamu commends Krishna on his dedication and predicts that Krishna's will be a success story, Shyamu also appreciates the fact that Krishna has got true friends in Tunna and Chandu..Krishna smiles..Krishna turns towards Aarushi and cheekily asks her to say something too.A Blushing Aarushi softly replies that Krishna is a good man ..All make a move towards exit.

Sajjan Singh seated on his Jeep tells Tunna and Chandu to find the man who had the nerve to burn the Dhaba

Both Krishna and Pratigya are dead to the world .. when suddenly a musical note begins its disturbing rhythm ..The sound intrudes into Krishna's sleep ..Krishna stretches a sleepy hand towards the source and answers the phone ..On the other side of the Phone is a panic stricken Cook , who blabbers that the Dhaba is on fire , A Shocked Krishna jolts up and jerks out WHATTTTT ..The Cook helpfully repeats that the Dhaba is on fire.. A stunned Krishna demands to how this was possible , since the cook was in the premises.The Cook sasy that he nodded off for a while and when he opened his eyes , the Dhaba was barbecuing itself nicely... A dazed Baba orders the cook to call up Tunna and Chandu, informs the cook that he will be there in few mins ... All this yelling and agitated movements had disturbed Pratigya, who has become wide awake ...she queries the reason for the tension ..understands that the Dhaba is on fire..Hurries after a hurrying Krishna ..

Krishna rushes into the hall calling out to his Bauji, hearing the commotion, All the members stumble out sleepily , Sajjan Singh is trying to suppress his yawn , when it is done effectively for him by Krishna panicked " Bauji, The Dhaba is on fire "..Sajjan Singh forgets to complete his yawn , clamps his mouth..opens it again..wanting to know whether what he heard was really true.Krishna repeats the fact again... says that he and Pratigya are leaving for the site, exhorts his family to join him as soon as possible and races off, closely followed by the marathon runner Pratigya .. sajjan Singh shouts out after them, telling them not to worry, and that everything will be alright and that he is there for him ...Sajjan Singh rushes down yelling out shakthi to come out..Amma begins her sing-song grieving, Sajjan singh shuts her up , sharply saying that he is not in the mood and Amma may get something instead of blessing .. Sajjan Singh turns towards Kesar, tells her to wake up Shakthi..says that Baba will need all the help ...A sleepy Shakthi stumbles towards them half asleep ..Sajjan Singh tells him that Baba's Dhaba is on fire..Shakthi wants to sleep..Sajjan Singh promises that Shakthi may get a few loving pecks from Sajjan Singh's foot wear ...This wakes up Shakthi, who then leaves to get the jeep ready ...

DHABA

many people are trying to douse out the flame while Tunna and Chandu are standing watching this scene helplessly.. Krishna and Pratigya arrive on their Royal Chariot..Krishna sees the Burning Dhaba, shouts and rushes towards it..But the alert Tunna and Chandu combo hold him back..Pratigya entreats Krishna to exercise restraint .. They are watching the burning *** Hello..haven't anyone heard of a thing called Fire station ..esp The all knowing Pratigya **..Just then The Royal cavalcade arrives ..All are stunned to see the intensity of the fire .. Sajjan Singh and family rushes towards Krishna... Shakthi holds himself back and stands watching the fire ..there is a curious play of expression..is it shock, pleasure, satisfaction..quite unfathomable ..

Sajjan Singh tells someone to call the fire Brigade.. Krishna and Tunna run to get the water tanker..they find a water tanker with a drunk driver..Krishna pushes off the sleeping driver to the back... takes the wheel in his hands and drives it to the site of carnage... Krishna commands Tunna to release the water at his prompt..Krishna rushes to the dhaba holding the hose and at cue.. the cooling, rejuvenating water rushes out..soon the fire is brought under control and extinguished...but the Damage is done ..The dhaba is burnt to its skeleton ..Krishna looks at the beautiful Dhaba now all charred and blackened... Krishna falls on his knees , crushed ...Krishna ..says that my dreams have burnt itself to ashes..Sajjan Singh hurries to Krishna admonishes Krishna on his defeatist talk orders Krishna never to lose courage and never to lose confidence ..seeing that His Son is too sunk in his despair..He urges Amma to console Krishna..Amma holdshim by two shoulders tells Krishna that everything will be alright, Sajjan Singh is there ..and The Dhaba will be raised at this very spot again ..Pratigya too does her bit of motivational talk ..and promises Krishna that Dhaba will be opened as planned ..Sajjan Singh places his hands on Pratigya as if saying that it will be done..

A BRIGHT MORNING

A smartly dressed Adarsh comes out of the room , ready to go to his office ..the Father and daughter are arranged around the tables ** did they even go to bed last night , or have they been glued to the chairs ** .. Nainaji gets the breakfast to the tableAdarsh moves away from the still tableux, when one of the statue err Shaymu comes to life..quietly asks Adasrh whether he had any idea as to the crime Adarsh had committed last night, Shyamu adds that Adarsh had come home drunk, Shyamu condemns Adasrh's behavior, says that day by day Adarsh is becoming un-adarsh ..Aadarsh nonchalantly replies that there was a party hosted by his Manager and he had indulged in social drinking, replies that such things are common now ..and wonders why Shyamu is upset by the fact that Adarsh is drunk.. Shyamu has already separated him ..And Adarsh is following his heart .. Nainaji gets angry on hearing Adarsh belittling her God , Swiftly Moves to take Adarsh to task but is checked by Shyamu who replies sadly and quite maturely ** what a pleasant change ** That Adarsh has grown up , He is a earner and an adult and he is too fargone in the path of vice... Shyamu consoles himself and his Over reacting wife saying that They have got Krishna , and they can be proud of their Krishna !! and that they have to attend the inauguration of the Dhaba ** Since when did Krishna become THEIR ** .. At that poignant Moment , the Telephone rings.

Shyamu Attends the phone and is pleasantly surprised to hear Pratigya..Pratigya tells her Papa that the opening of the Dhaba has been moved to the evening instead of the planned Morning. Worry lines etch itself on Shyamu's Shiny face and he inquires anxiously whether anything is the matter..Pratigya candidly replies that the Dhaba has burned down ..and will take some time for it to be cleaned ..Shyamu immediately wants to know how it happened ** Kya P Antarmayi hai jo sab kuch jaane **.Pratigya does not know...Shyamu promises that The Saxena's will pitch in to help ..and notifies that He himself, Aarushi, Nainaji will be coming...Pratigya completes the call...focuses her mind on teh daunting task ahead ...She orders Tunna and Chandu to get the raw materials again.. Both assent and leave to do their assigned tasks, A irritated and practical Krishna wants to know how can all this damage be undone by evening, and what was the need to say that the Dhaba will open in the evening when the Dhaba was in ruins... Pratigya gives a pep talk retorting that Things don't come in a platter and one has to meet with many obstacles before meeting success..Pratigya promises that Krishna chose this day to open his dhaba for public , and the dhaba will be open today..An Irked Krishna replies that Pratigya is not being practical, and nothing can be done..Sajjan singh and Amma urge Krishna not give up hope..Sajjan Singh continues to boost Krishna's gloomy disposition by asking him to have faith in Pratigya's assertion, replies that if everyone pitches..then the Dhaba will be rise again ..Shakthi tries to be the nay-sayer and is rebuked by Sajjan Singh ..Sajjan Singh orders Shakthi to get cracking and help out Baba .. The women slowly begin to tidy the place up .

We are blessed to see the unique and special sight of the Thakur's and saxena's working together . The combined families are trying to beat the deadline and restore the Dhaba by evening ..All are sincerely working except for Krishna , who is standing looking distrustful and a bit hopeless and helpless ...

Pratigya 20th April 2011 Written Update

It is next morning , Krishna and Pratigya arrive on their royal Horse to visit the five star restaurant ... The painter is stroking the brush up and down on the letter's of the hoarding.. Krishna Pratigya enter the Khape ..The in house Architect cum Interior decorator steps forward to greet Krishna and Pratigya ... Chandu happily says that everything has been arranged .. and have created a grand ambience [ Pratigya has picked up the menu card and is readin the menu's ] Chandu rambles that come tomorrow ..The People of Allahabad will rush to the Dhaba to satisfy their palate ...Krishna cockily retorts and why will they not come .. realising the direction of the breeze ... Chandu replies ofc ..it is Krishna bhayya's Dhaba ..will get popular very fast ..what say Pratigya sis ...Pratigya brushes this assertion aside ..wants to know whether they know how to serve the patrons ..Chandu replies that they will take care of everything ..But Pratigya insists on a demo ... Pratigya paints a scenario wherein Tunna is the customer and Chandu has come to serve ...Chandu swaggers , arrogantly tells Tunna to mind the way he sits , demands to know wht he wants ..Pratigya is stunned by this excessive camaraderie ...Pulls up the errant Chandu ..tells him customer are like Gods..One has to be Polite and courteous and to make this Dhaba a success one has to be respectful ..Pratigya orders one more rehearsal...Chandu says that it is tough to be respectful to Tunna but will try ... They practice again with Chandu being extremely polite .. .. Tunna cant control his laughter ..peals into laughter ..Pratigya wants to know why Tunna is laughing ...Tunna says That Chandu used to play Monkey in Ramayana ..thats why he is so polite ..... Krishna has had enough , he decides to show the two stooges the correct way of wooing customers .. Krishna goes all concern and enquiry , promises to help the patron in his problems ..wants to know what the patron will have for food... does not give a breather to the patron ..ticks the patron for not ordering instantly in an hectoring tone ..Pratigya rushes to Krishna , chimes up that it is not the way to speak to the customer, Chandu's way was right ...Chandu is happy *** Pappu Pass hogaya* ... Just then there is a shout that the Board bearing the legend "BABA KA DHABA" is up..Krishna and Pratigya rush out ...both watch the banner with pride... Pratigya congratulates Krishna on the fulfillment of his dream ... Pratigya sasy that Amma and Bauji will be happy . The people present in the Dhaba break into spontaneous dance , while Krishna watches the board entranced.

While the dance is going on..Radhe passes by on the road, sees Krishna from afar and the structure ..halts the vehicles enquires about the building ..and comes to know that it is Krishna's Dhaba..Radhe smirks and wants to know since when did Krishna singh Thakur became a Dhaba owner..His cronies reply , what else can Krishna do ..The convoy moves away after casting a final glance at the Dhaba

HAVELI

Kesmma is separating the chaff and the rice ..Komal is eating the apple..Kesmma wants to know about the kind of In laws that Komla has got ...Komal obliges Kessmma by saying that Her Mother in law always looks worried , and Komal has never been able to figure out the reason for her gloomy appearance , Komal feels that Dadi must ahve tortured her so much that Nainaji has gone into shock ...Shyamu wants to change the world and dadi has one foot in the grave and is always chanting the Gods name and fighting with Komal ..Kesmma replies that Her Inlaws appear to be a pack of jokers ..and that Komal must be having a whale of time.. Amam who has overheard this coes and orders Komal to shut up scolds her for insulting her own In laws turns the heat on Kesmma curtly tells Kesmma to behave with decorum , tells her that Kesmma is instigating Komal instead of advising her..Chides Kesmma tells her to behave like the lady of her age and not act like a immature Kid ....Komal tries to defend her actions..Amma tells her to shut up , says Amma wants to slap Komal, but is controlling herself.. derides Komal for separating the Stove and for not even caring whether her husband had his breakfast or not..Amam suggest that Komal should think about her life and take control of it before it slips away.. Ghanti dadi is shocked at the change in Amma .. Sajjan SSIngh looks on..

The saxena's are as usual draped around the dining table ...Silent and not eating while the bowls are brimming with food **Even the hovering flies must have become an old man ..such is the stillness and predictability of this scene ** ..Adarsh steps out of his hidey hole goes into the kitchen , roots around and tries to fix himself some toasted bread ... being a first timer, he burns his finger ..and as usual ..Nainaji rushes in to save the life and limb of the eldest born..offers her help, which is frostily refused .. Nainaji turns towards the camera and does her melodrama..

HAVELI

A happy and excited Sajjan Singh comes to the living room, sits on his throne .. happily exclaims that the dream of his Son Krishna is going to be fulfilled and he is one proud father ..and he has no more worries about his son's future .. Sajajn Singh looks around , enquires the whereabouts of Krishna ..tells the members of the room to make sure that he gets to see Krishna in the morning and Evening..Krishna and Pratigya enter the house..Amma sees them and warbles out that The wanted couple have come..Sajjan Singh hails Krishna and orders him to come near him..Sajjan Singh and Krishna exchange a hug ... Sajjan Singh says that he is very proud to see a hard working Baba ..wants to know the porogruss [progress ] of the dhaba..Krishna replies that everything is going well , all set for a grand inauguration tomorrow and also a beginning of a new life .. Ghanti Dadi is pleased and invokes God and seeks its blessing .. A happy Sajjan Singh tells Pratigya to call all the members of the MMGJ .. Says that even they will feel happy to see a independent Krishna .. Shakthi perks up on hearing Aarushi's name..brain begins to click and turn ... Pratigya nods her head in agreement.. Krishna then brings up the important matter of cuttin the Ribbon ..Sajjan Singh rolls the ball inot Amma's court , Amma pronounces that Pratigya should cut the ribbon since she turned Krishna into a diamond... but A polite and respectful Pratigya declines and replies that the Honor belongs to Sajjan Singh ..

MUMFORDGANJ..

Nainji is waiting up for Adarsh ... ell rings and we see Adarsh descending further into the den of vice..Adarsh is drunk !! ..Nainji is shocked * Koi nayi baat nahi** ..The Saxena's decide to keep the inquisition for the next day.

HAVELI

Krishna and Pratigya are in the bedroom.. Pratigya rolls over , sees a wide awake Krishna who appears to be jittery..Pratigya queries as to why Krishna is not asleep yet especially when it will be a busy day tomorrow ..Krishna says I am worried..Pratigya smiles softly teases him saying how can brave Krishna be scared.. Krishna gets up on the bed in reply, turns to Pratigya.. seeks some last minute courage from Pratigya..Krishna wants to know whether the Dhaba will really be a success tomorrow, will People come to eat and whether People will like the food etc etc..Maidam Pratigya casts a look at he crystal ball and delivers the pep talk of not worrying about the outcome..be happy that this is the outcome of ur honest toil and honesty is always rewarded..Krishna is comforted ..Pratigya then switches on to wife mode..orders Krishna to sleep ..and the obedient Krishna proceeds to do that.

Pratigya 19th April 2011 Written Update

Damn Good Dialogues !!

It is still confessional time in the Haveli.. … A disbelieving Sajjan Singh wonders whether Amma has had a heat stroke and got her brain fried ..wants to know whether he should summon a doc..wants to know how did love sprout so suddenly, how come she is handing the responsibilities of the house to Pratigya..Confesses that all this thought process is beyond him ** Haven’t u heard the adage that one can trace out the trail of the snake but can never trace out the thought patterns of a woman ** Amma softly cries out that You can mock me .. But I am a human too ..and Human’s do err..I could not understand u, Pratigya ..What Can I do ?? I am not educated ..have never gone out..do not know the world affairs ..but let me tell you , It is our lucky fortune that you came into this house ..and changed the men of this house …. Pratigya is moved to tears, and tears are coursing through her cheeks like rivulets ** Aakhir Nainaji ki Beti hai, unki izzat tho rakhni padegi na ** A shocked Shakthi blurts out wanting to know whether Amma has lost all her marbles, demands to know what Pratigya has done …then does a Sherlock Holmes and solves the mystery of “Love Pratigya Campaign” by exclaiming that Pratigya has fed them some Magic Potion.. ** Agar aisa Baat hai, tho Kesar dunk this brute inside the potion tankard ** Sajjan Singh gives a disgusted look… Krishna sharply intercepts Shakthi’s idiotic ramblings replies saying that whatever is happening is happening is unfolding right in front of our eyes, tells Pratigya to take the keys..But the protocol conscious Pratigya refuses and says she only wants their blessing’s …Krishna goes to Amma and hesitantly confesses that He himself is finding it hard to believe , pleads with Amma to repeat again ** Yeh kya Cricket match hai, Jo Highlights dikha de , Bhavnavon ko Samajh ** Amma smiles at him..Krishna tells Pratigya to take the keys..But the protocol conscious Pratigya refuses and says she only wants their blessing’s and that Amma has the rights over the keys . Amma is thunderstruck by the lack of greed in Pratigya

Amma tells Krishna to stand by Pratigya, says that Pratigya is that rare gem whose contact with even an iron will turn it into gold ..and Pratigya has indeed turned Krishna into gold ** Tanthya decides to kidnap Pratigya**.. Amma hugs them both and seeks their forgiveness and Blesses them ..Krishna tenderly says ” Amma”..Ghanti dadi watches with a smile, Sajjan Singh is puzzled Kesar looks happy

GROUCHY CORNER

The saxena’s are huddled around the Dining table ..Looking at the food laid on the table dismally ** All have suffered through Nainaji’s Cooking hence are wary of it **..Shyamu invites Nainaji to break bread, Nainaji shies away..Aarushi says that u are worried about Komal and Adarsh aren’t you..Right then Adarsh wanders in , Nainaji eyes falls on him and she invites him for Dinner ..Adarsh refuses saying he already had his dinner outside and he cannot eat at home since his stronger half is not home..Adarsh proceeds towards his room, when Aarushi stomps after him calling out Adarsh and demanding to know what was the need to speak so rudely to their Mother , who sheds water at the drop of a hat …She tells him that such a thing could even have been refused lovingly..what was the need to break her heart ** Her heart breaks every few seconds and glues back too **..Adarsh has had enough ..ticks off Aarushi for interfering, informs her that he did not break Nainaji’s heart and was only following Shyamu’s ordinance by not having food with them . A gloomy silence hanging over the dining table ..and right on cue…nainaji begins to rain..while Shyamu consoles her…

NIGHT AT HAVELI

Pratigya is as usual busy in investigating the mythical unicorn in the closet ..when Krishna comes from behind and just lifts her up declaring that he is the happiest man in the world today, He considers himself to be the luckiest one too , Not to be outdone, Pratigya replies that she too is the luckiest woman i the world , Krishna stood by her at every corner ..But Pratigya is curious to know why Krishna is so happy today ..Krishna replies , that you have changed everyone, first Sajjan Singh, then Amma..in fact Pratigya has turned this house into a home ..while it was previously a station with everyone yelling … Krishna also appreciates the fact that Pratigya returned the keys without getting greedy..says that Pratigya is the reincarnation of Goddess Saraswati..Pratigya smilingly declines this assertion, replies that with requisite time any logical person would have done just the same..Krishna opens his mouth ..which is promptly covered by Pratigya, who orders him not to say anything anymore ..Krishna states that there are many ways to shut one’s mouth , says will teach her..Pratigya laughingly calls out Krishna …Krishna retorts that he is doing with her only and is not doing anything bad..Pratigya laughingly escapes

Sajjan Singh walks into the bedroom, which is already occupied by His bitter half Amma ..Sajjan Singh studies a deeply thoughtful Amma ** Like a herpetologist watching fascinated a particularly subdued Black mamba ** ..cautiously sits on the bed ..Sajjan Singh opens the conversational gambit..Sajjan Singh states that Amma never ever tells the truth, and wants to know the true intentions of handing over the Keys to Pratigya”’Sajjan Singh wants to know whether Amma has become haunted with some disturbing thoughts or planning some new moves ..Amma replies that how can you say that..I do speak truth …but you never believed it… I agree that I was cruel to Pratigya ..but I do know the difference between good and bad..have seen her doing things for this house …I am a Mother too..I am not stone hearted… I agree that I was blinded in hatred..but now the mist has cleared ..have to appreciate Pratigya for her achievement, she has changed a stubborn man like Krishna …tell me one thing..ur Mom and Kesar too love Pratigya..u don’t doubt them..but u r suspicious of my motives..why is such a hoopla made of handing over the keys..I handed it after realizing that she is honest, principled knows right n wrong..so gave wht’s the big deal … Sajjan Singh retorts that ..Ok even I were to accept that ur sanity has returned …let me tell you , Amma ..that if you have understood then it means everyone have understood…stay in harmony and unity … Have accepted the change in you …Amma gets up saying that she will get his milk for him..sajjan Singh dryily replies that he is not a snake to drink milk..and laughs ..

In THE LIVING ROOM

Kesmma and Shakthi are in a flurried discussion..Shakthi is surprised at Amma’s volte face..is stunned that Amma was all ready to hand over the keys to Pratigya..Shakthi continues that if Amma and Pratigya unite ..then his staying on will get difficult..says that Pratigya will make his life miserable…Kesmma assures Shakthi that Amma is playing a clever game ..all that she is doing drama ..Kesmma is sure that Amma is playing some deep game , says that Amma is very sharp..Shakthi replies that Amma is a fool ..does not know what she is doing…Shakthi says it would have been utterly humiliating had he been forced to take the money he earned from Pratigya’s hand…Just then Kesmma spots Amma coming to the kitchen …Kesmma expresses the thought that they should probe Amma’s mind..and step towards the kitchen.

Amma is pouring the milk into the glass when Kesmma comes in ..and Shakthi hides outside overhearing the conversation..Kesmma comes in and Praises Amma’s tactics, praises Amma’s cleverness and says that she has to learn many things from Amma ..and wants to know what is the actual motive behind it ?? Amma gives a frosty look at Kesmma , haughtily orders her to shut the Bull S***..Amma coldly demands to know whether Kesmma considers everyone to be the puppet of evil or clever and cunning manipulators like Kesmma … Amma says that she was not pretending… informs Kesmma that Only Pratigya has the capability to take the reins of this house cos there are lots of enemies who are bent on destroying the house ..Amma scornfully tells Kesmma ..that Not all people are like Kesmma who are hell bent on destroying the house with their games ..tells her to stop spreading such disgusting tricks in the house …. Amma further says that Kesmma has come as a guest to her daughter’s house ..tells her to behave like a guest and stay within her limits or she may find herself thoroughly insulted …Amma stalks off with her head held high…while the Bad Apples Kesmma and Shakthi exchange glances ..

Pratigya 18th April 2011 Written Update

Krishna comes to the Dhaba sight where everyone are busily working ..The carpenter is making a great show of cutting the plank by brushing the saw gently over the unyielding plank…Another worker is busily hitting the nail into the planks…with the nail stubbornly refusing to glide in..while a painter is engrossed in painting ‘BABA KA DHABA” .. Krishna strolls into the Dhaba with Pratigya ..both of whom are warmly welcomed by Tunna and Chandu …who are acting as the supervisors of th Dhaba…Krishna like a true lord of the manor enquires whether the work is proceeding in order… Chandu replies that everything is almost ready and lists out the accomplished tasks ..Chandu says that the utensils have arrived, ..the chairs will be arranged shortly and proudly says that he has even got menuwa printed and hands it to Krishna saying that if Krishna finalizes the style and content ..then it can go for printing ..Krishna replies that he would hardly know anything about such things and hands it over to Pratigya ..Pratigya proof reads and Ok’s it …Next they discuss about the dishes that will be featured in the menu..Chole bature with chutney will be the main attraction ..the serious discourse then turns to the dessert ….A mini Bheja storming session ensues when Krishna says that since Jalebi is Pratigya’s phwarit dish..The restaurant will offer that on the menu…but the Lil Miss purrfect purrs out that Krishna is not starting the dhaba business to cater to Pratigya’s tastes but to cater to the taste of patron’s * A small matter which escapes the street savvy Baba, Shadi jo kiya dhimag tho dahi bangaya** Pratigya replies that jalebi’s are winter desserts and the evergreen dessert is Gulab Jamoon ..Krishna is awestruck by Pratigya’s superior wisdom, immediately lets it be known to the furthest reach of his kingdom and to all his subjects , in this case the chef that GJ will be on the menu… Krishna introduces the Cook to Pratigya and tells the cook that he has to cook the way Pratigya cooks the bature ..The chef assents .. Having done with counseling , Pratigya now wants to do inventory and oversee the maintenance…Pratigya asks Krishna whether she can get down to business and check every nook and cranny…The obliging Krishna sanction’s this idea ** As if there was any doubt about the outcome ** Pratigya goes into the kitchen with the cook and both are followed by a spell bound Krishna ..Pratigya and the cook are chatting, Pratigya is kneading the atta while Krishna watches entranced and there is the evergreen atta smearing on the cheeks by the leads scene …Pratigya goes out and has a small talk with patrons..while Krishna comes behind her and envelopes her in a hug ** Tanthya being quite a decent girl covers her eyes with 2 fingers strategically placed apart , so that Tanthya does not miss out on the action** ..Pratigya is startled , and gently slides off his hand ..pretty soon the till is full of money , Krishna is counting it , Pratigya comes and places a plate of chole bature in front of him ** Too Oily, Bey…no wonder , ur generous belly never takes a downturn** .. The Love birds then are standing out admiring the DHaba and the hordes going into it ..Into this rosy picture , Intrudes the sensible Pratigya..Krishna wakes up from his day dream. Krishna and Pratigya make a Move towards their nest .

Amma gets a plateful of Apple to feed Komal, who is sulking in the bedroom..Amma sits on the bed ..tells her that day by day Pratigya’s influence is growing in the house, now even Sajjan Singh is constantly saying Partigwa this, Partigwa that ..Amma wonders what Magic Talc Pratigya uses that she has manged to make everyone dance to her tunes ** Try being genuine , instead of being fake for a change Amma ** ..Amma scolds Komal , tells her to take a leaf out of Pratigya’s book and makes her own In-laws dance to her tunes ** What u want MMGj to collapse and submerge **.. Komal replies that she will take care of her household matters , continues by saying that Amma has to be on guard now… as from the way ..Amma is narrating the recent events, it looks like Amma’s days are numbered and pretty soon Amma too will be relegated to the background like Ghanti Dadi and has to resort to ringing her bell to pass the time…Komal reinforces this by sinisterly mimicking Ting…Ting…Ting….Ting ** Apple ka asar ithni jaldi hogayi** ..Amma sits deep in thought .

Krishna and Pratigya walk in to the AXN room …. where the rest of the Thakurs plus Kesmma are assembled …Sajjan Singh notices them and hails them ..and there are talks on the progress of Dhaba ..Krishna proudly says that almost everything is ready and even the Menuwa has been readied ..Sajjan Singh beams through his beard , asks for the name of the Dhaba ..Krishna begins to say and the name of the restaurant will be , when like an eager student Shakthi pips up saying..what sort of question’s is this …Everybody knows that Baba will name the Dhaba after Pratigya ..Nothing new in that …Krishna is all admiring at Shakthi’s intellectual abilities ** Sahi Main, Bail Budhi ki Dimag chalne lagi ka …Sabi Kesmma Mayya Ki Krupa hai ** coolly tells him , wow Brother !! You are so clever , Shakhti begins to preen when Krishna cuts of his wings by saying that although that was my original thought ..it is not the name of my Dhaba , My Dhaba is not named Pratigya..Amma wades in simpering deliciously…replies that if Baba has not named it after Pratigya , then of course he has named it ‘ Masterni ka Dhaba’ …Shakthi quickly pitches in with “Saxena Dhaba” .. and the ball rolls to Amma who gleefully replies ‘mmGJ Naina Dhaba” ** Naina , Hain ** .. Shakthi and Amma are having a good time by throwing out various names ..which is watched with a poker face by Pratigya, Sajjan Singh looks on while Krishna looks annoyed by their antics… Krishna calmly asks whether they have had enough and should he continue ..Sajjan Singh acidly retorts to ignore them as he succinctly put’s it Amma’s brains has gone grazing in the pasture while Shakthi’s has descended to his knees ** He really had one!!! **..Krishna quietly replies that My Dhaba is called ** ** “BABA KI DHABA” egg on the face of Shakthi and Amma ** The courteous and well mannered Tanthya gives them a kerchief rolled in coal to wipe their dripping face’s ** while Ghanti Dadi looks on happily …Ghanti Dadi prophecies that the Husband and wife combo will win this race… Krishna then gives an explanation saying that He had originally wanted to name it after Pratigya ..but Pratigya said , gives a look at his Amma ..that since Sajjan Singh and Amma address Krishna As Baba ..It would be better If Krishna were to name it as Baba ki Dhaba . since it will be a way of always having their blessing’s..Amma is speechless …Sajjan Singh taunts Amma saying, learn from Pratigya,adds that Amma must have done some good deed in her previous life that she got someone as nice as Pratigya for a DIL…

Amma slowly goes to Pratigya, starts having a breakdown… words gush out from her ..Amma says that till date she was following the thoughts handed down through the ages that said that A MIL and DIL can never have an amicable relationship, it always taught her that , A DIL never wants to do any good for her MIL..But You today surpassed even my Own daughter ..Folds her hands and seeks forgiveness from Pratigya .. A perturbed Krishna wants to know if everything is alright with Amma, If it is not he will fix it , A sarcastic Sajjan Singh queries sardonically whether Amma really understood all about Pratigya so fast and if she did …with a well meaning look..what was her next step ??..Krishna also wants to know what Amma is upto..while Shakthi is giving a good imitation of gaffed fish ..

Amma replies that you used to call me Amma, Amma, Amma ..But I never thought of you as my daughter ..what you did ..you made my son responsible , brought him to the correct path, made him a man .. takes out the keys , hands it over to Pratigya saying from now you should take care of this household affairs, you are the right person for this …so Saying she places it on Pratigya’s palm…Pratigya’s response had begun with wary disbelief, to stunned, to touched to slack jaw …and speechlessness …Shakhti looks on grimly while Kessma begins her calculation’s..the rest are stunned ..except for Kesar who smiles on lovingly

A tearless Nainji calls up Adarsh at the bank, enquires about Komal , wants to know when Komal will be back, is promptly shut by a cold Adarsh who replies that Komal is in Maika, Thanxx for asking ..Nainaji begins to drizzle..Aarushi offers a supportive hand..

Pratigya 15th April 2011 Written Update

A Mildly interested Nainaji wants to know Why Adarsh is going to the Haveli ..A Vexed Adarsh bites out that he himself does not know what shenanigans are being cooked up ..Now is the time to Focus on his career and instead of which he is doing a balancing act between his Parents and his wife …Who are stubbornly intent on their own stand and are not bothering to thinks about his feelings … Adarsh leaves off after dutifully knitting his eyebrows .. Aarushi retires to the table after rising Adarsh’s ire successfully

Krishna calls Up Shyamu saxxena and seeks an explanation for this dirty act …Krishna ticks off the professor for his uneducated act of chasing off his DIL ..Krishna expresses his disgust that Shyamu is unable to manage his family and is troubling poor little Komal…Shyamu denies the charges narrates the seismic happening that happened in the vicinity of GH and ends by Saying that he did not throw Komal out ..Krishna cuts the call with a frown on his face .

Adarsh comes in like an unwilling Lamb coming to its slaughter..The grizzly lion notices the Meek Lamb, bares its teeth at the appearance of a luscious meat..Sajjan Singh welcomes Adarsh with great bonhomie, Adarsh nerves himself and goes towards Sajjan Singh, seeks his blessing ..Sajjan Singh smiles and orders the waiting servant to give full Son In Law treatment to Adarsh.The servant nods his head in understanding and leaves ..sajjan Singh whiles the time in small talk..The servant comes and places a wide plate on the floor…Adarsh reluctantly removes the Shoes and the Socks, places his feet inside the plate .The servant begins to wash Adarsh’s legs … Amma comes down , she watches this ritual with a gentle smile playing around her lips ** Yet why is my spine tingling in fear ** Amma steps forward remarking that Adarsh appears to be getting very well treated ..Amma comes and sits By Adarsh ..Pats his legs enquires whether Krishna ever gets such respectful treatment at the Professor’s cos he too is a Son in law of MMGJ just like Adarsh is the Son in Law of the Haveli …** Respect !! He probably would swoon if they even offered a glass of water ** ..Adarsh looks uncomfortable at this question and stays silent …The servant wipes off Adarsh’s feet with a towel..Sajjan Singh commands the servant to sprinkle the water around the four corner’s of the house .. ** They are laying it thick, aren’t they ?? ** ..the Servant leaves ..Amma begins her questioning , Amma gives a wide smile , a smile full of innocence and love and softly enquires as to why Komal had to leave the house …Adarsh retorts the the best person to answer this is Komal ..sajjan Singh does not lose his cheer, Sajjan Singh obligingly calls out to Komal..Komal descends followed by a parade of Haveli Women ..Komal comes and sits on the other side of Sajjan Singh..Sajjan Singh seeks an answer..Adarsh looks at Komal, Komal looks at Adarsh ..then bursts out saying what wrong did she commit by cooking Fish cos she wanted to give a surprise to Adarsh too since he has become a Non veg eater..Adarsh replies that His family are strict vegetarians and hence reacted badly when Komal introduced Fish into the house cos they felt that by introduction of Meat ..The difficultly accrued virtues became nullified ..Sajjan Singh’s Amused veneer cracks slightly, Sajjan Singh retorts that when Adarsh too relishes Non Veg then what is the problem of the Saxena’s .. Sajjan Singh points at Pratigya , then at themselves ,,informs coldly that Thakurs are hard core Meat eaters ..They are constantly cooking and consuming it ..yet they have never forced Pratigya to eat it .. Sajjan Singh reasonably asks whether the Thakur’s are being reasonable or whether The Sax’s are being understanding..

Before Adarsh can react , Krishna comes in ..loudly informs the assembled gathering esp his father to stop reacting to half truths and tells him that the truth of the matter is entirely different ..Krishna points at Pratigya.. This girl has stayed on in this house for long yet she had never spoken about having separate kitchen , but This Komal has done that great deed..Komal has separated the Kitchen ..Krishna pauses for effect and the rest of the cast obligingly fill in with their reaction’s..It is news to Pratigya, While Amma Narrows her eyes and looks questioningly at Komal..Sajjan Singh narrows his eyes and scrutinizes Komal closely while Ghanti dadi and Kesmma hang their jaws in sheer shock …** Alright CUT !!! The Scene is canned , lets move on** Komal guiltily stands up like a recalcitrant student … Komal aggressively demands to know why ther are looking at her ..Komal narrates that Shyamu Saxena was terribly put off by Adarsh’s Promotion .. everyday The saxena’s used to humiliate Adarsh, would refuse to eat anything Adarsh bought and She Komal Singh Saxena had pride too and her pride forbade her from eating on charity , so she decided to separate the cooking arrangement ..Sajjan Singh gives a sardonic smile, looks at Adarsh replies that Sajjan Sngh got this promotion for Adarsh so that he and Komal can be happy , Sajjan Singh did not force this promotion on Adarsh, when Sajjan Singh offered , Adasrh accepted ..Sajjan Singh wonders what Shyamu’s problem is why si Shyamu blaming it on Komal when it is not her fault and why is he being taunted ..Sajjan Singh then Hammers few home truths reflecting the contemporary society ..Says that in today’s world Money is everything ..even for education Money is required …Nowadays many educated youths are giving bribes and getting work and in this circumstances Sajjan Singh inveigled a Promotion for Adarsh and the bookish professor who never takes his nose out his books to get acquainted with reality is displeased !! ..Adarsh remains quiet,But Father’s daughter Pratigya cannot bear this slur on her father..Pratigya breaks her silence , Pratigya demands to know why Adarsh is not saying anything,How could Adarsh allow for the division of the kitchen, Why is Adarsh not supporting papa.Why is Adarsh not saying that Papa knows the difference between right and wrong, Papa lives a principled life , that is why he chose the name Adarsh for him so that Adarsh could continue the lineage , that Papa has never approved of recommendation , Adarsh gets up , stands in front of Pratigya tells her to mind her own house and he Adarsh is more than capable of taking care of his House matters ..Adarsh adds that Prof is Bookish and is so lost in the book world that he has forgotten that there is a real life out there which does not follow the principles quoted in the book..Pratigya retorts that yes ..her father does not know anything beyond books, he is a simple man who has lived his life according to the books..Pratigya reminds that Books can be researched and edited for mistakes and errors whereas teh mistakes committed in life cannot be erased and she reminds Adarsh that Life is a BOOK !!

An impatient Krishna has had enough , loudly informs Pratigya that Such profound thoughts will not penetrate Adarsh’s brain, entreats her to let go , demands that she come with him to scout the Site for Dhaba , tells her to leave this matter to be sorted out between the Husband – wife pair , Literally drags the stony Pratigya out leaving the rest fo the family gathered in the hall** an augury of the future perhaps**

Sajjan Singh walks to the confused, tense Adarsh, envelopes him by the shoulder, tells Adarsh that Pratigya is a Scholar , has the habit of talking a lot, cannot stay quiet for long, tells Adarsh to forget everything , reminds Adarsh that Sajjan Singh is there for Adarsh..Bids Adarsh to apologize to Komal. Adarsh dutifully seeks Komal’s apology , tells her to get her things so that he may take her home ..Komal truculently replies that she is not coming……. Continues her paused conversation by saying that she will come after couple of days ..Sajjan Singh gets Livid..while Amma Snaps at Komal..Amma orders Komal to seek Adarsh’s permission and also commands Komal that henceforth Komal should always get permission from her Husband Adarsh before taking any steps.. Amma puts on her affectionate smile requests Adarsh to grant Komal’s wish..After such a huge massage to his Ego, what else can Adarsh do..He agrees and leaves.. There is a general smile and happiness after Adarsh leaves with Komal expressing her appreciation of Sajjan Singh’s cleverness..Father and Daughter share a hug..

Krishna is driving his bike , Pratigya as usual has put on her long face and is fully immersed in her maika’s matters..Krishna parks his bike near a chaat centre ..Tells Pratigya that he knows that Pratigya is upset and is still thinking about what has occured ..and as he does not want Pratigya to see the site with unhappiness,He , Krishna is going to treat Pratigya to Golgappas ..Pratigya declines this offer says that we were going on a Mission, lets continue that..Krishna is adamant, Pratigya is equally stubborn and refuses to eat…In a bid to brow beat Pratigya’s stubbornness, Krishna threatens to stand on one leg and will continue to be so until Pratigya agrees .. Krishna suits the action to the words..Passersby start laughing at Krishna’s antics..Krishna remarks on this says that people are laughing and yet his wife is unconcerned , Pratigya begins to smile, agrees to eat Golgappas..A Happy Krishna orders Golgappa , takes a second look at the grinning vendor rebukes the vendor by saying that Krishna is doing so much hard work to get business for the vendor and the vendor is grinning !! ..The vendor passes the golgappas nad Krishna feeds it to pratigya ..Pratigya is all smiles now and her mood is restored..Krishna is happy that his Pratigya is happy.
