An Engrossing Episode !!
The scene repeats with a slight variation..
Krishna is fully drunk and unaware of his surrounding..Pratigya, Ghanti dadi and Komal are having Woman Time..krishna looks at his crying father and bursts into laughter and goes to console Sajjan Singh…Sajjan Singh cries inconsolably ..Krishna merrily chortles that Colors fell into Meat Stew and made it inedible..Sajjan Singh cries, Krishna laughs..Both are inebriated.
Amma comes and informs the Rasik Mandali not to disturb Kesar with their Holi Play instead they have full liberty to play with Pratigya. shakthi gets his carbon copy Radhe ready and sends him off to play Holi with Pratigya. Radhe stumbles towards Pratigya grabbing colored powders in his hands. Pratigya has had her chat with Ghanti dadi and turns , comes up against a heavily intoxicated, leching Radhe. Radhe says that he wants to play Holi with his Bhabhi [Sister In Law ], applies on the left side of Pratigya’s cheeks.. Pratigya politely replies that is enough ..Radhe bleats that the other cheek is bare and applies it on that cheek too, not content with that His hands slowly begins to travel over her arms, Pratigya is alarmed and looks urgently at Krishna, Krishna is oblivious of the real world and is giggling away, Pratigya casts a look at Tunna, even he is stoned ..meanwhile Radhe is holding Pratigya’s hands inappropriately..Pratigya tries pulling her hands but Radhe holds on..Angered and in self defense..Pratigya slaps Radhe….Right on cue..Krishna whoops “Bura na Mano , Holi hai”!! .
After such a resounding Slap, the festivities comes to a stand still ..Amma who never leaves an opportunity grabs it , and begins taking Pratigya to task for slapping Pratigya’s Devar..Amma demands to know why Pratigya wants to spoil the festive spirit ….Pratigya replies that Radhe was misbehaving with her ..hence she had to resort to such action..Amma is not convinced, replies that Radhe is her Brother in law and Brother in law’s are licensed to play with their Sister in laws on that day..Amma scorns at Pratigya’s educated status and imputes that Pratigya is behaving churlishly due to her education and the fact that she does not care for culture and wants to change it. Pratigya points at her bruised Hand , shows the broken bangles, replies that she knows the difference between an innocent contact and indecent contact..Amma sees the cut mark on Pratigya and begins to reflect..Radhe immediately exclaims that he never touched Pratigya with amorous intentions and brings up his past behavior as a character certificate..Amma once again believes Radhe’s words , replies that ofc, She believes Radhe cos She [Amma ] Knows Pratigya very well. Kesar intercedes and confirms that Pratigya is stating the truth, but her mouth is quickly zipped up by Kesmma who order Kesar to be quiet as it is essentially a matter between a Mother In law and Daughter Inlaw..Kesmma goes one step further , supports Amma .
Amma has had her booster Shot, She dedicatedly gets behind Pratigya, begins to needle her by saying that Pratigya can never see the Thakur’s enjoying, having fun and being Happy ..Shakthi pips up and adds his assent to Amma’s assertion..Pratigya has had enough , She breaks out demanding to know why should a woman put up with a strange man feeling her up on the pretext of culture..Amma is very angry , goes to Krishna , informs him furiously that Pratigya slapped a MAN ** MAN kya exotic species hai kya** just getting giggles as an answer, in mounting anger , she turns towards Sajjan Singh and yells that Pratigya has hit their relative, sajjan Singh is crying and bemoaning the fate of his Meat Stew.. exasperated by the men, Amma takes the matter in her own hands, comes back and commands Pratigya [who was leaving the venue] to apologize to Radhe with folded hands.Pratigya returns Amma’s stare with a steely stare of her own, refuses to Apologize, replies that it is not she who has to apologize but Radhe.Pratigya turns and begins to leave, Amma hold her elbow, preventing her from Exiting…Pratigya Looks at Amma, Amma’s hand clenched on her elbow, whips her hand out of Amma’s Grasp and walks off with her head held high *** Applause for Pratigya *** Amma looks on in seething fury.
PARESHAN PARADISE
In Chai House, Prof is standing by the window looking angry ** actually the look reminded me of something inappropriate ** Nainaji and Dadi are sitting on the couch ..Aarushi is standing and looking on silently..Professor is having flash backs ..we get to see Adarsh having good time, having a heart to heart chat with Sajjan Singh. Adarsh is saying that Sajjan Singh is even closer to him than his own father, sajjan Singh’s stature is even higher than Professor’s. Professor face twists as if he has drunk a big glassful of Bitter-gourd juice in which laxatives has been added…Not content with this torture, Professor again has the flashback, where Adarsh Blissfully thanks Sajjan Singh for getting him promoted, Adarsh saying that he was fed up of living his father’s principled life with its useless values and rules. .as if adding salt to the injury, Adarsh continues that he found that the Principles, values actually made him a weak man, by throwing it off..He has become a Strong man….Adarsh further expounds on Sajjan Singh’s big heart saying that even if there were 8 Skies above earth, Sajjan Singh would have got it for him..
As if reading Prof Mind, Dadi breaks the silence regretting the path chosen by Adarsh , Dadi says that Adarsh has brought shame to the honor of the house , Dadi lauds Shyamu’s conduct and is bewildered by Adarsh’s deviating from Shaymu’s path. Nainaji is confounded by the change in adarsh and wonders why Adarsh hid the Promotion truth from them ** Cos he knew you Guys very well **
An intoxicated Adarsh comes in warbling that he had a good time , it was the best Holi of his life, there was Dance,song, fun, frolic, enjoyment ** In short all the things that the Sax’s abhor ** Adarsh says he enjoyed himself immensely ..Adarsh gushes that he got his promotion due to Sajan Singh and that Sajjan Singh is God ..Not just content with spilling this, Adarsh further compunds his “CrimeList” by confessing that he had meat, chicken and loved the taste of it .. Nainaji is shocked , She angrily demands whether Adarsh really had Meat …** eeliyo, ur Son accepted charity or a bribe ..and u make the meat eating a big issue ..what priority is this **.. Adarsh gives a smug superior smile, turns towards his father , seeks his support telling Saxena that once one tastes Meat, all the potatoes,Ladies finger will taste like dust…in fact he tells his father to consume Non veg too..Saxena answers with a resounding Slap.Adarsh just smiles in drunken Stupor, Komal looks on quietly..
