Pratigya 18th March 2011 Written Update

Morning comes  with a warm buttery Sun rising up in the sky  **Like the New Montage**..At  the Haveli, Pratigya is serving Chai to all the members who have assembled ..Pratigya offers the tray to Krishna , who gives a broody look at Pratigya and refuses to partake the Tea.Amma watches this interplay, sits  by Krishna and coaxes Krishna implying that one should not let the anger on spouse  reflect on food.Krishna protests this assertion and takes the Tea Cup to silence her..

Shakthi  feels it is time for massage,summons  the servant and orders him to get the things set for his weekly/monthly  Massage.Kesmma who was hovering in the Background perks up and steps forward saying that such personal Things should not be left in the hands of servants and she will take care of the Massage dept  **as a master/mistress Sucker up, she is incomparable**. This is not liked by Amma who signs to Sajjan Singh, who signs back indicating let it go.Shakthi enjoys the massage ..Just then a group of people come collecting  donation's for Holi celebration, Hearing the commotion, Sajjan Singh Calls them Inside ..

The troupe come in and  request for money in a chilled out way by singing ribald ballads,couplets..Sajjan Singh is having gala time and charges them to Sing again..The Group end up singing the praise of Sajjan Singh, Amma, Shakthi and Krishna.Sajjan Singh hands over some amount and tells them to come over the next day to organize and celebrate the holi.
Krishna does not appear to have enjoyed the jamming session, he gets up and stalks away to his sanctum sanctorum .A gawping Pratigya follows in his foot steps.In the room, Pratigya softly calls Krishna..Krishna turns .Pratigya requests Krishna to get her some more Stationary.Krishna is puzzled by this request,suspiciously seeks the reason for the fresh influx of this dangerous things into the Thakur Kingdom.The Lone ranger Pratigya replies that she needs it for writing few more letters , just like the last time.Krishna's hackles raise,curbing his temper Krishna says , she [pratigya]  has proved her point of being able to work from home and he has accepted the point  therefore there is no need for pen and paper .Sweet Pratigya says ,"  u may turn away from responsibility, I can't..when u r not taking the responsibility  on ur shoulder,it is my duty to take over the responsibility" . Krishna has had enough, spits out that Pratigya need not work from anymore ,it would be better if women the house did the work present in the house .Pratigya replies .."such actions are applicable had he taken over the charge of  the house, fulfilled his obligation ..Had Krishna been a dutiful Son..Pratigya Thunders , she would unhesitatingly stop working but by turning away from your  responsibilities..I am forced to take on the mantle " ** Way to Go , P **..Krishna is unable to handle the truth and does the Baat Khatham Act.

SPITEFUL NIVAS

A tired Dadi waddles to  do her Pooja  like a wobbly war weary battleship Galatica approaching a safe harbor .Aarushi, who has been sitting on the dining chair and Nainaji who had just brought in the breakfast exchange concerned glances at the slow and trundley  locomotion of the Old Ship.Aarushi and Nainaji follow Dadi ,see her exhaustion  Nainaji pleads with Dadi to eat, Adamant Dadi refuses ..Dadi proceeds closer to the God physically but in opposite direction spiritually , Dadi says unless apology no option of eating or drinking.Adarsh who had come there adds his voice ,says he apologizes on Komal's behalf ,entreats Dadi to eat pointing out her failing health.Dadi replies if she is dieing, Allow her to !! ** Badon ki baat sunlena chahiye , Adarsh Babu, Allow her to **  so saying she faints majestically ..and is held on by Adarsh,Nainaji Aarushi **3 people to hold a supposedly frail old lady**  Hearing the ruckus both Shyamu and Komal rush to the Kitchen** I thought the dootiful Son Shyamu would be by his Mummy's side, lagtha hai..it is also a fixed time devotion **Shyamu orders calling of Doctor.

Dadi is carried back to her boudoir.A Doctor comes , does a thorough check up , gives his prognosis that Dadi is getting progressively weaker and as she already is suffering  from diabetes ..it would be better if she begins to take nourishment else ..things may turn serious.Adarsh gets angry on hearing this and strides to  the bedroom , bids Komal to raise from the bed and apologize to Dadi.A teary eyed Komal says that she did not do any wrong, then why do everyone gang up on her ..she never meant any harm to Dadi either..But Adarsh exclaims that there is no need for all this, just get up and apologize..Komal says .. I never meant anyone any harm ..I will come..I know how to solve this impasse. Komal and Adarsh depart to the living room

Komal sits by the bed , adjures Dadi for being so stubborn ,accepts her defeat gracefully, conveys her apology , feeds grapes to the weakened Dadi  ** A Prickly cactus with a heart of Sponge **..All Saxena's smile approvingly ** as if a Monkey has done its trick expertly**

HOLI  KI THAYARI IN HAVELI

Amma is applying upptan [a herbal paste made of Lime,turmeric,neem ] to sajjan  Singh  while Kesmma is applying to Shakthi  ** This is getting really weird **There is the usual leg pulling, teasing ,joking ...in short there is a happy and convivial atmosphere in the living room.Krishna walks in at the moment ..Amma dictates Masterni to apply the Upptan on Krishna.Pratigya begins to apply, her heart though is not in it ..Kesmma notices this and scolds Pratigya for  her insincere spirit , tells her to do with all sincerity .Amma picks up the ball thrown by Kesmma and begins her litany against Pratigya , also adds that Upptan will remove all the dirt from the body.A restless Krishna stands up abruptly, curtly replies that Upptan removes Bodies dirt and not the dirt present in the heart and walks away ** Today seems to be his day of walking away**..All are looking at him.Amma is furious, begins to chastesize Pratigya for always spoiling  the fun and breaking the sanctity of any ritual ..Pratigya maintains her poker face.

Krishna is in the Adda, confused by Pratigya's attitude..For the life of him, Krishna can't fathom why Pratigya wants to work, says that Pratigya does not talk to him or reply to any of his queries..it is as if he is talking to four walls .Chandu and Tunna console Krishna saying ..Pratigya is angry at you, but don't forget that By handing over her earnings in ur name, Pratigya has made a hero of you,  Tunna Urges Krishna to do whatever it takes to cool Pratigya and points out that this being their first holi together..they should both be celebrating it in full josh and happiness.Krishna is thinking ** Hope he does not think up another juvenile trick **

PRECAP

Shakthi is with his friends, when He notices Amma, Kesar and other sitting on the lawn..Shakthi moves towards them to throw colors, kesar happily hides her face,Amma smilingly points at Pratigya's direction and tells them not to throw colors At them.Shakthi sends his pack of friends towards Pratigya. Pratigya is surrounded by men , who begin to apply colors and also touch her inappropriately ..Chandu notices this and tries to bring it to Krishna's Notice who is high on Marijuana ..Krishna is not aware of the peril In which Pratigya is . A guy lays his hands  on her exposed waist and another one lays it on her cheeks..An incensed Pratigya slaps the offender ..The festivities come to a standstill..only for the voice of Krishna to holler out cheerfully "" Do Not Mind, It's Holi ""
