The epi starts with Kala royally climbing down the stairs….(she is literally glowing like a newly wed bride…) and Suds the naukar is introducing her …he is saying that Bhau is not amongst us, so in his absence there has to be someone who has to look after the business and that is what we are doing, Kala saheb and me, and so Kalasaheb will sit on this chair, bas, that is all I wanted to say…(that is all you can say, Ullu, this is perhaps the longest speech you have made in your life and still there were so many grammatical mistakes, thik se ratta marna bhi nahi aata)
One of the smugglers immediately spoke up ‘But this is Bhau’s gaddi…’!!! (haanji!!! Sher ki gaddi par chudail nahi baith sakti, aap bol do chudail ko!!!)
Kala ishmarty knows that if Suds keeps this up, meeting ki vaat lag jayegi so she takes control and points out to the man that it is, right now, empty’ !!! (haanji!!! woh bhi sab ko dikh raha hai, par tujhe table par pada silver ka sher nahi dikhta na….baaki sab ko dikhta hai….Woh hai Dutta!!! Samji, Make up ki dukaan!!!…Tu apna shadow lamba hota dekh kar samajh rahi hai, you are growing, idiot!!! bachpan mein school mein dhyan diya hota to pata chalta, ki your shadow becomes longer when the Sun goes lower…your sun is setting, Chudail!!)
Another smuggler (Vilasbhau) speaks up…
‘Politics mein aur hamare dhandhe mein yahi ek farq hai, kursi khali dekhi nahi or uss par kabza kiya nahi, aisa hamare dhandhe mein nahi hota…idhar kursi ko jeetna padta hai, himmat se, aur uss par baithne ki taakat jeetni padti hai….’ *sitiyaa or taliyaannnnn for Vilasbhao*(By the way dialogue reminded me of Bournville logo ‘You don’t buy a bourneville, you earn it!!! Samjhi Kala)
Suds at a loss and Kala, who is not used to people questioning her, says that do you think I am trying to sit on this chair by force….One of the Smugglers answers that this is Bhau’s place and only a Bhau will sit but not like this, this business is bit different…(Business hai ya Maggie hot and sweet tomato ketchup….It’s different!!)(By the way, the manner in which it was said, was a certain jibe on Kala, telling her that it is not her cup of tea)
Some other smuggler says that we have not found the full and final news of Bhau…Kala asks him back whether they believe that Bhau is alive?…
The smuggler answers that some one has surely back stabbed him and hence he has gone into oblivion….Vilaasbhau (my favourite smuggler of the day) says that in our business this is the prime drawback…The biggest enemy are the one who are nearer and dearer ones, mother father, brother sister always back stab us…
And Kala loses temper,,,,how dare you talk to me like that?? I am my brother’s cute dear sister ( ok .. I admit .. ‘cute’ was my add0ition to the dialogue…) you think I have back stabbed him??? (Kaanta lagaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, hai lagaaaaaaa…..hai hai hai )
Vilaasbhau tells her that he has not blamed her, it is she who is matching point to point with his talks (Dont ask me what does this mean, it is the literal translation of what Vilasbhau spoke…and I didnot want to edit whatever he spoke…Takla jo bhi bol raha hai, bada accha bol raha hai)
Kala ko shock laga ki meri daadhi to hai nahi, to usme tinka kaha se aya
Kala realizes she has revealed herself and so she retraces her steps and says sorry she got agittated but she cannot see anyone talking about Dutta bhau and gets angry( accha…. chudail… tera brother love hum sab ko pata hai)
She tries diplomacy and says that till he comes back we cannot close our business na…how will manage Patilwadi, it is me who will have to take care….
and wham …a smuggler cuts off her bhashan and interrupts ‘Arre halwa hai kya’….and I was like…Kala ko halwai bana dala..he makes a point ki baat …he asks for Baaji….he says that when Bhau was not there, it was Baaji we used to deal with…we will deal with it…
*seetiyan and taaliyan for this wala bhau too…very intelligent…and to think our dear Gadha was their boss….Such kehte hai Fortune favours fools….)
Kala demeans Baaji saying that Baaji was a simple servant of Bhau (Kala…Baaji Dutta ke liye kya hai yeh tu nahi samjhegi)
Kala had to bow down, he sends Ullu to get Baaji …
