We're told the service will be held this afternoon.

Elizabeth Taylor was one of Michael Jackson's closest friends, but she said she won't be attending the "whoopla" that is Michael's funeral this morning.
Taking to her Twitter page, Elizabeth wrote, "I cannot be part of the public whoopla," she writes. "And I cannot guarantee that I would be coherent to say a word."
"I just don't believe that Michael would want me to share my grief with millions of others. How I feel is between us. Not a public event."
Instead, she's expressing herself in writing. "I will always love Michael from the depth of my being and nothing can separate us." And, she adds, "My love goes out to Katherine and Michael's beloved children."
Interestingly enough in 2002, Michael said: "My funeral is going to be the greatest show on earth. That's what I want. Fireworks and everything."
And it looks like the King of Pop is going to get just that! Preparations have been underway for days now, and the funeral will begin in a just a few hours. Stay tuned for more funeral details!

"They handled it beautifully and it was very respectable…It was done with a great amount of thought and planning to keep out the pictures, cameras, the noise, the riff raff," he tells Inside Edition.

Part of his duties were explaining why the service was starting 15 minutes late.
"I said, ‘The reason we’re running late is because of Elizabeth Taylor.’ I guess because she was chronically late. And she wrote, ‘I’ll even be late to my own funeral,'" he said.
Taylor's longtime friend Michael Jackson as well as Clark Gable, Jean Harlow and Walt Disneyalso are buried at Forest Lawn.
