Gulaal 26th May 2011 Written Episode

Gulaal is in a panic mode esp around Talli whenever she mentions Kesar, or when Talli makes an reference that something has been said and Gulaal has to know what and so on, and that chunar she has left behind (as you saw the panic look onm her face again when she saw it) is what i think Talli will find, as her friend has told to see and look for a evidence of love, and this chunar is it – Talli’s first clue, and next will be probably how Kesar behaves around Gulaal and so on, and his eyes seeking her. It will nice to see if Talli figures this ‘love’ out and realize it before Kesar-Gulaal does
I found Talli and Gulaal scene rather sad, esp the music that went with that scene – i know Gulaal is still forcing this Talli-Kesar thing, but right now Gulaal is just holding onto that even as to avoid what has just happened and how Gulaal is, and we see Gulaal is not quite herself – even when trying to ask Paanbha’s permission on going to her parent’s house and trying to give reasons when Paanbha says she doesnt need to
She is gonna refuse to go with Kesar, as i said she cant at the moment be around him after what he has declared and the impact of it means, Kesar probably hasnt even understood entirely what he meant, obviously he knows what he said, but the whole meaning of it i dont think he has understood – and why that reason is that he does for Gulaal and to her
Whilst Gulaal knows the impact of what it meant (and certain flashbacks she has), but she is avoiding it and denying it esp if we see her with Talli and trying to cope with the situation and also tell Talli to look after him and so on
I dont think Kesar knows that Raman was ripping off the family when he was in-charge of the factory and Gulaal was the one who found out and stopped it, as it seems Kesar is more affectionate with Raman as we saw, and also i saw Kesar observing the brothers today, and so on and no wonder the end scene of him siding with Raman, only so it could be against D, and also for Gulaal – each time she kept talking about D this and D that, Kesar anger grew up and the a fist forming (i did think for a moment he was going to punch D lol)
Gulaal chose D over Kesar, thats how it looks from Kesar pov doesnt it!?!, when she refused to go with Kesar and said D will take her (even though we all know this was fixed up earlier by Paanbha) the hurt and burning sensation we saw in those eyes, and it grew even more when JK started doing her lectures which just formed a biggest rift between Kes-Gul in what she was saying and makes Kesar’s blood boil and then Gulaal talking about D and such, and i do think Gulaal has noticed now that Kesar has something against D – we saw it from her expression and so on and esp what Kesar said as well at the end, and also Gulaal is noticing the anger in Kesar, even though half of the time she was avoiding looking at him
Tension is mounting between them and even more what Kesar is doing and so on
Motabha is not gonna be happy at all, its just another disappointment added to him by Kesar esp as Kesar is siding with the bad side, Durgesh who wants to break the family not that Kesar knows that its the Durgesh he is looking for, its funny and i think Durgesh is gonna find it funny as well coz without him doing anything things are kinda going his way esp now that Kesar is siding with Raman
Kesar still being assertive over her and so on, why didnt she tell him, where is she going, i will take you… the stern voice he uses, and Gulaal knows that voice as well and how Kesar is being
I found it rather interesting what D and JK were saying about seeing things clearly and then just seeing what you want to see, and i think i would apply to Kesar as well, weell actually everyone in a way, Gulaal in terms of Kesar and herself and also Talli as she needs to start to see things clearly concerning Kesar and who he likes, as her friend gave her that adive on looking out for signs…
PRECAP – On one hand i can understand what Poonambha is saying to Gulaal and why and who Kesar is, and on the other hand i can understand Gulaal’s dilemma and so on, and i was waiting for her to say that this is Kesar, you know that Kesar

Gulaal 29th April 2011 Written Update

Gulaal and Kesar's eyes meet and Gulaal looks away. She tries to get up and sees that her foot is aching and calls out to Talli. Kesar hesitates but then goes towards her and tells her that he will massage her feet. Gulaal lets him but is in a lot of pain so pulls away. Kesar massages a bit and then gets up. He extends his hand to Gulaal and she gets up. Talli yells for Gulaal and Kesar and Gulaal go there. Talli is in the river splashing water. Talli laughs and says that they must be scared thinking that she fell in water. Kesar says that he was not scared; Talli asks him if he would not save her if she drowned, he replies that his clothes would get wet.

Talli takes Gulaal to a boat and both start rowing. A man washing clothes says that it is dangerous to send Gulaal and Talli by themselves, Talli says they don't need Kesar. Kesar cannot stop looking at Gulaal, the guy is truly smitten. Talli sees Kesar watching and says that he can still come, he refuses. Talli tries to catch Kesar's attention by jumping in the river. Gulaal feels terrified and yells out her name. She asks Kesar to help, he says that Talli is kidding and knows to swim. Gulaal cannot see Talli so jumps as well. Kesar sees it but doesn't do anything (he probably doesn't know Gulaal cannot swim). Talli comes up and looks for Gulaal, she yells out to Kesar to help since Gulaal cannot swim. Kesar runs and goes to save Gulaal. (Why couldn't Talli save her? She was much closer to her than Kesar). Together Talli and Kesar take Gulaal to the shore and towards the end Kesar carries her. The guy who initially asked Kesar not to let the two women go alone comes there and asks Kesar to turn her around and press the water from her stomach. Gulaal is still unconscious. The guy asks them to take her to the doctor.

They are all at the doctor's house, the doctor says that she will be fine and it is good that they brought her there so soon else her life would have been in danger. Gulaal will have fever and headache for the next few days. Kesar feels upset and goes out in anger. Talli goes to him and asks him if he is angry, he asks her why she was kidding so much, and despite knowing that Gulaal could not swim why did she have to make her sit in the boat and bring her here at all. Talli says that she wanted to make Gulaal happy. Kesar asks her what would they have told the family if anything had happened to Gulaal. Talli asks him if he is very worried about Gulaal, and if he is so worried why does he misbehave with her. Kesar says that he doesn't care about Gulaal, had it been anyone else he would have saved that person as well. Talli says fine, he doesn't care whether Gulaal lives or dies, Kesar yells at her for annoying him. He asks her not to try to open the wound of anger that is buried inside him for so many years, else nobody knows what will happen, and walks away.

Talli follows and says that what does he think, only he lived all these years in sadness, he has become so blind that he doesn't see others' problems. Why is he so angry, for going to the hostel? Why does he think that by sending him to the hostel they were happy? Gulaal used to cry so much when he didn't reply her letters, and she wouldn't eat for a few days when he refused to meet her. After so many years she was happy to see Kesar return but he stole even that from her. She asks Kesar why should she not bring Gulaal here, for so many years Gulaal has not been happy or been outside the house. Talli tells him that Gulaal is so lonely that she doesn't even have her own support, Gulaal doesn't have big desires but is happy with small things. She brought her here to give her happiness in small things. Gulaal comes there and asks Talli to leave it, Kesar is saying the right thing that he doesn't care about her. Talli says that is not true else Kesar would not have jumped in the river. Kesar says that he would have done that even for his enemy. Gulaal says its good he said it, and thanks him for saving her life. Gulaal asks Talli to stop arguing with him and let remain angry with her forever. Kesar says that he has a reason for whatever he did. Gulaal says maybe, but today if he trusts his reason more than Gulaal then fine, but Gulaal will not change because of it nor will her love change. For her he will always be the same Kesar who he has left behind. Gulaal goes inside.

Precap: Paan Baa asks Gulaal if she is fine, she looks pale and weak. Gulaal says that she fell in the water. Everyone gets up in shock. Talli says that she was just kidding and to save her Gulaal jumped in the river. Kesar looks on.

Gulaal 28th April 2011 Written Update

Jamna Kaki brings a woman inside her room and shuts the door. The woman says that all she wants to do is get Dushyant married, why is Jamna Kaki so scared. Jamna says that she doesn't trust anyone in the house and Dushyant doesn't want to get married. She shows Jamna photos of a few women and says good things about them. Jamna keeps two photos and asks the woman to leave. The woman runs into Talli when she leaves the room. The photos fall on the floor and Talli picks them up and asks the woman who she wants to meet. Jamna snatches the photos from her hand and tells Talli that she is fond of spying on Jamna and rudely asks her to stay away from Jamna's room. Talli tries to defend herself but Jamna doesn't listen and pulls her ear asking her to stay away from Jamna's things. Talli has tears in her eyes. (Jamna looks so wicked).

Talli walks away sad and Gulaal comes there and asks her what happened. Talli doesn't tell her. Talli asks Gulaal to accompany her to get her exam forms from the city. She asks Talli to tell Dushyant to take them. Paan Baa tells Talli that Dushyant will come late, Talli hears Kesar's bike and asks him to take her to pick up the form. Talli tells Gulaal that Kesar will take them, Kesar refuses but Paan Baa and Talli insist. He says that he is tired from working since morning. Mota Bha comes there and asks what the matter is. Talli tells him that she needs to pick up the form, Mota Bha asks her to take Kesar and Kesar agrees. Talli takes Gulaal with her.

Kesar is driving the jeep and Talli sits between Kesar and Gulaal. The place is 80 kms away. Talli asks Kesar to speed up like his bike. Kesar says he knows, Talli has said this 10 times in the last half hour. Talli says that nobody else is saying anything, he asks her to keep quiet. Talli asks Gulaal to talk. Gulaal says that they should finish the work and go home soon, she needs to cook. Talli asks her to stop thinking about the house and that there is a life outside as well. Talli yells for Kesar to stop, he stops, she says that she knows a shortcut to go to the city. Kesar uses the shortcut. After some time Talli asks Kesar to stop again, and they come to a dead end. Kesar says that they should get down and find the city hiding in the nearby trees. Talli asks Gulaal to get down and tells Kesar that if he wants to come he can.

Talli says that there is a lot of time for them to reach her college, and asks Gulaal to open her eyes and look outside since she likes greenery so much. Gulaal says she can't remember when she last came out. Talli pulls Gulaal and they both run and come to mango trees. Gulaal feels happy and walks around. Kesar comes there and watches her from afar. Gulaal remembers herself running around carefree with her friends. Talli asks Gulaal to experience the place, Gulaal says that she is experiencing, Talli uncovers Gulaal's head and opens her hair and asks her to live like she used to, free. Kesar removes his sunglasses and looks at Gulaal with a lot of longing and love, like his heart has stopped or something. (I love the way he looks at her, very romantic, I could literally feel the chemistry oozing on the screen). Gulaal tries to tie her hair and Talli makes her promise not to do so, and says that Gulaal looks very pretty with open hair. Gulaal tells Talli that she and Gulaal have no comparison, Talli asks why, Gulaal is not a girl, doesn't she have desires? Gulaal says that they should leave, Talli says that if Gulaal catches her then they will do whatever Gulaal wants. Kesar looks on with the same loving expression, and keeps walking and looking at Gulaal. Gulaal falls down running and starts laughing and calls out to Talli. She says that she is coming after Talli and laughing gets up and sees Kesar. Kesar looks away, Gulaal stops laughing, then their eyes meet.

Precap: Talli and Gulaal are on a boat and Kesar is sitting on the riverbank. Talli jumps in the river, Gulaal yells for help. Kesar says that Talli is kidding and knows how to swim. Gulaal jumps in and starts drowning. Talli comes up and looks for Gulaal and sees her drowning and yells for Kesar to do something.

Gulaal 27th April 2011 Written Update

Dushyant is going through accounts at the place where the school is being built. Two men are doing manual labor and Dushyant asks them to bring two more men so the work will be done faster. Kesar asks the men to go finish other work with other laborers, that work is more important. He looks at Dushyant defiantly. One guy comes and asks Dushyant where to unload the truck with bricks, Dushyant asks him to unload it there. Kesar says no, unload it someplace else. The guy looks at Dushyant who nods his head in agreement. Dushyant asks Kesar why he is mad at him, if anything is bothering him he should say it instead of behaving it in this manner in front of laborers. Kesar says that he said what he wanted to, if Dushyant doesn't like it he will leave. Dushyant says that he did not mean it that way. Villagers come there asking for Mota Bha and say that the government wants to name the school after a politician but the villagers want the name to be after Mota Bha's name since he has done a lot for the village and he gave the idea for the school. Dushyant is about to talk when Kesar cuts him and says that Mota Bha will not come today and Kesar will give him their message. Dushyant stops them and says that he has another name in his mind, why not name it after someone who first dreamed about the school and did so much for the village. Kesar makes faces. Dushyant recommends the name Vasant and Kesar is shocked. Dushyant says that Vasant did so much for the village, he dreamed of the school and wanted that they should have Talsagra's water and by marrying Gulaal removed the enmity between the two villages. Kesar continues to look shocked and flashbacks to the conversation about Dushyant's killing Vasant. The villagers agree and say that they will send a letter to the government informing them of the name.

Mota Bha is sitting with Paan Baa and says that he is getting old and doesn't feel like going to the factory. He asks Paan Baa why she is lost in thoughts. Paan Baa expresses her worry about Gulaal and says that she doesn't like Kesar's behavior with Gulaal, and tells Mota Bha about Jamna's words about bringing Gulaal and Kesar together. She expresses agreement with Jamna's words and says that she sees Gulaal's future as dark.

Kesar is riding his bike and flashbacks to the conversation about Vasant's death and Dushyant's words about naming the school Vasant. He goes to the police station and asks for Vasant's case file. He reads it and tells the cop that he wants to reopen the case. The cop says that there is no need, it is a simple accident. Kesar says that he doesn't think that was an accident at all, the file says that the truck hit the jeep three times, if this was an accident, why would the truck driver hit the jeep three times, that also a standing jeep? The cop says that it is worth exploring, but... Kesar says there are a lot of things in this case that he wants to bring to light. The cop says that there will be a lot of formalities and complications to go through. Kesar says that it is not easy to get justice but that doesn't mean that they should not pursue it, Vasant did a lot for the village and the cop has to help him out. The cop says that he will study the case and call Kesar and asks him to leave his phone number. The camera pans to the cop's subordinate (looks like this guy is with Durgesh).

Gulaal looks for something and finds imli in her drawer that Kesar brought for Talli who did not eat it. Mota Bha knocks on her door and the imli drops to the floor, she runs to open her door. He asks her what she has thought about her future and Kesar's future. She says she doesn't understand. He asks her if she doesn't understand or doesn't want to understand. He reminds her that she did deeyarvattu with Kesar, and he was unhappy with her decision and said so many times that her decision was wrong, but she did not listen, now she should deal with the repercussions. Society thinks of Kesar and Gulaal as husband and wife, what is she going to do now. She says that she knows what society thinks but for her the word "deeyarvattu" is just a word, and she has already planned for Kesar's future, he just needs to show that he is capable to taking household responsibilities. She says that she wants to get Kesar and Talli married, and she had this thought for many years, now when she sees them together both seem to like each other and are of the same age, they understand each other and she knows that Talli will take a lot of care of Kesar. Mota Bha asks her who will take care of her, she asks what has happened to her that she needs taking care of. Mota Bha asks her if she has even thought of herself at all. She says that she will think of herself after Kesar gets married, and Mota Bha and the family is there to think of her, she doesn't need to worry. Mota Bha is full of emotion and pets Gulaal's head and leaves. Gulaal has tears in her eyes and picks up the scattered imli.

Precap: A women runs into Talli and photos from the woman's hand fall down. Talli collects the photos and asks her who she has come to meet. Jamna Kaki snatches the photos from Talli's hand and glares at her.

Gulaal 22nd April 2011 Written Update

Jamna Kaki is in her room fuming at thoughts of Kesar's questioning Dushyant about never marrying. Her husband asks her what happened. She says that he is talking as if he was not there and did not hear what happened. He says that she should not take what Kesar says so seriously, everyone knows that Kesar is immature. She says angrily that but Dushyant is not immature, he is 32 years old, she is worried about his future. It is all Gulaal's fault, because of her Dushyant did not marry and is a puppet in her hands. On the other hand Kesar leaves no stone unturned to cause Dushyant pain and make fun of him. She says that no matter what she will get Dushyant married, and she cannot bear to see his loneliness, who will take care of him. He says that he understands and wants Dushyant to get married as well, and he will talk to Mota Bha. Jamna Kaki gets even more angry and says that it is because of Mota Bha that she is not able to live the way she wants to, her husband should stop trying to be Laxman. He says that Mota Bha is the oldest and there is no harm in consulting him, he thinks about the entire family. She says that she doesn't need anyone's help for her son's good and will do everything herself. He says that she is angry right now, he will talk to her later, he needs to go out with Mota Bha now.

The engineer talks to Mota Bha about building the new school at the site. Mota Bha asks him questions and calls Kesar to assist. Dushyant talks about hiring villagers to do some of the work. Dushyant gives the quotation file to Kesar for review. Kesar says that the price the file has is much higher than what the government is willing to pay for the school. He asks the engineer to tell his contractors to put together a proposal that is within the government grant. Kesar then tells Mota Bha that they do not need to hire contractors, they should get the villagers to do the work and they will not even have to pay them as much, since contractors are in the business to just make money, not to build the school. Mota Bha feels happy and praises Kesar and his city education. Dushyant's father says that they will assign the responsibility to Kesar and Dushyant. Mota Bha then remembers that Kesar has to go to Gulaal's home and gives him money to buy something for Reva and Yogesh.

Gulaal is in the kitchen happily packing sweets for Yogesh. Paan Baa feels good seeing her so happy after so long, and asks her to get ready and that she (Paan Baa) will pack the remaining sweets.

Talli is in the temple teaching village girls to dance. Kesar comes there and tells her that he is taking her for a tour. She tells the kids to practice and leaves with Kesar. Gulaal's mother calls Paan Baa and asks why Kesar and Gulaal are not here yet. Paan Baa says that Kesar is not here yet to pick up Gulaal when Gulaal's mother hears Kesar's bike and says that they have arrived. Paan Baa is surprised. Gulaal's mother quickly gets ready to welcome Kesar and behind him comes Talli - they are all surprised. Reva asks Kesar where Gulaal is, and he replies at home. Talli is embarrassed and says that had she known they were coming here she would have brought Gulaal. Gulaal's mother welcomes Kesar and everyone feels down. Yogesh and Kesar make conversation while everyone looks on. Gulaal's father comes there with Gulaal's favorite something and shouts out her name, and is surprised to see Kesar and Talli. Yogesh says that Gulaal did not come. Her father says maybe Gulaal could not find time from her daily chores. He says that so what, Reva was impatient to see Kesar and said that if Kesar does not come to meet her at her house she would not go to meet him. Yogesh says that Reva was waiting to meet Gulaal as well. Gulaal's mother says that it is her fault, she thought that if she invited Kesar Gulaal would automatically come, she should have invited Gulaal as well. Talli gives embarrassed looks.

Paan Baa is surprised after hanging up. Gulaal comes there all ready and asks Paan Baa whether Kesar has arrived, everyone must be waiting for them. She says that she will take the sweets boxes and wait outside. Paan Baa says that Kesar will not come there, he is already at Gulaal's parents' place. Gulaal is shocked and upset, but tries to cover up saying that he must be impatient to meet Reva. She empties the boxes of sweets and puts them away. Paan Baa tells her to leave it, she will do it. Gulaal goes to change her clothes. Jamna Kaki listens in to this conversation and smiles.

Reva serves Kesar and all the men sit to eat, she says that had Gulaal been there she would have been very happy since they made all her favorite dishes. Talli asks them if she can take something for Gulaal, Reva says of course, she will pack the food for Gulaal. When Kesar and Talli are leaving, Gulaal's father tell him to bring Gulaal next time. Talli is embarrassed. Kesar says that since he was returning straight from his work with Mota Bha he was not able to bring Gulaal, he thought that Gulaal keeps coming here anyway so he was a bit careless about bringing her. Gulaal's mother says that there are some relationships one should not be careless about. Reva feels bad. Kesar takes their leave with Talli.

Gulaal is in her room crying and has flashbacks to the situation with Kesar.

Precap: Jamna Kaki tells Dushyant that today Kesar asked about his marriage, tomorrow more people will ask. People don't know but Jamna Kaki knows why he never married. She asks him when will Gulaal's magic leave his mind.

Gulaal 21st April 2011 Written Update

Gulaal comes back downstairs and sees Dushyant. He tells her that he was worried about this, that Kesar is losing his way. The mess he made with his shoes will be cleaned, but if his behavior has an impact on his life it will become very difficult to clear that up. Reva talks to Paan Baa on the phone, she says that Kesar has not come to meet her even once at her place, Yogesh saw him several times with his friends but Kesar has not come even once. Gulaal's mother talks to Paan Baa and asks about Kesar's health. She asks Reva when will Kesar come to meet them, and Paan Baa should send Gulaal and Kesar together.

Kesar has a hangover the next morning and thinks of Gulaal's words about how he is causing his parents pain and letting Vasant down. Talli comes there. Kesar turns around and his shirt is not buttoned up. Talli turns around embarrassed and asks Kesar why he isn't dressed up. Kesar says that it is her fault, she should knock on his door, he is grown up now. He gets dressed. She turns around and asks about his health. He asks what happened to him, she says that Gulaal told her that Kesar is not feeling well since last night, so Gulaal has sent lemonade. She says that she too was waiting for him, and now onwards Kesar cannot stay out late. He says that so now onwards he has to do as she says, she says that in future he has to anyway so he might as well start now. She says that if he doesn't stop his ways everyone will get angry. He asks her what Gulaal told her, she says that Gulaal didn't say anything but Mota Bha was angry that Kesar has become careless now, but nobody should say anything to Kesar, and has called Kesar to his room.

Kesar goes to Mota Bha's room. Mota Bha tells Kesar that to reach his mission, he needs patience, not restlessness. Kesar will meet many people in his life who will try to lead him astray from his path, but Kesar should not follow them. Kesar has a lot of responsibilities. Paan Baa comes there and says that Kesar has to go visit Reva in her house today evening. Kesar agrees. Gulaal comes there with tea for Mota Bha. He asks Kesar to take Gulaal with him, Paan Baa says that Reva will feel happy seeing them together and Gulaal will meet her family as well. Gulaal and Paan Baa leave to attend to breakfast.

Gulaal's mother asks Yogesh to get all groceries on the list since Kesar is coming that evening. Reva asks Yogesh to take the day off, he says that just because Kesar is arriving doesn't mean he has to take the day off. Gulaal's mother says that Gulaal is also arriving. Yogesh says that its not the first time that Gulaal is arriving. The mother says that Kesar is the son-in-law. Yogesh says that she still believes this, how much importance does Kesar give to this fact, and will he believe in the deeyarvattu. Gulaal's mother gets upset and says that they were married in front of everyone and Kesar has to believe it. Yogesh agrees to take the day off.

Everyone is seated for breakfast. Gulaal serves Kesar but he refuses. Mota Bha observes his reaction. He asks Kesar what he will take for Reva and Yogesh that evening. Dushyant says that it is not just Gulaal's parents' place but also Reva's in-laws place, he cannot go empty-handed. Kesar says that Dushyant knows this very well despite his not having ever been married. Jamna Kaki doesn't like it and comes and offers to give Dushyant pickle to distract everyone. Kesar asks Dushyant why he has not married. Everyone looks on surprised. Dushyant says that the burden of marriage is not everyone's cup of tea. Kesar says fine, he should not say if he doesn't want to, but Kesar will ask his coin. If heads then Dushyant did not like any girl, if tails, the girl did not like Dushyant. Kesar flips the coin and laughs. Mota Bha scolds him saying that Kesar has no sense of respecting elders. Dushyant says that let it be, Kesar has the habit of joking, marriage depends on fate and is not in their hands. Kesar agrees and says that he is right, one doesn't have any control over marriage. Dushyant continues looking embarrassed, and Gulaal looks in angry.

Yogesh took the day off and Reva is happy. Reva found clothes that they had bought for Reva and Gulaal the previous month, and they keep one aside to gift Gulaal. Gulaal's mother asks Yogesh to buy clothes for Kesar.

Gulaal brings fruits for Mota Bha, he asks her whether he is ill that she brought fruits for him. Gulaal says that this is not for illness, but for his health since he is going out for a while. The villagers come there appreciating Mota Bha's coming out of his room. They invite him to come visit a new school. Kesar is going out when Mota Bha asks him to accompany them to the school and then the factory. Kesar asks them to go along and he will come on his own. Gulaal says but how can Kesar go, they were going to go out to buy something for their visit to Reva's place. Kesar says that he will accompany Mota Bha since he too has to learn the work. Gulaal feels bad, Dushyant looks on. Mota Bha says fine, after the work is done he will send Kesar to the market. Gulaal looks sad, Mota Bha takes the fruits from her. Gulaal flashbacks to the night before where Kesar was drunk and then to his childhood and her taking care of him.

Precap: Gulaal's mother is excited that Kesar and Gulaal have arrived and get ready to welcome them. Kesar enters the house and behind him enters Talli. Everyone is shocked. (I don't know what is happening - is Kesar using Talli to make Gulaal jealous? What is the deal here? Gulaal is in her own fantasy world making promises to Talli while the rest of the family members think of Gulaal and Kesar as husband and wife).

Gulaal 20th April 2011 Written Update

Starts of with D's b-day blessings from the family and Kesar's shocked and anger look on Gulaal being the one to remind everyone and Gulaal getting some sweet thing she has made, whilst she is serving it to everyone - Kesar just walks out and its only Talli who notices he has gone and Gulaal looks on and even the family, as usual Gulaal makes something up - saying he has gone to their factory etc but looks from the family its look like they aint happy he did and the worried look as well

I think we can understand why Kesar, cant stand being there any longer and looking on esp as Gulaal is acting like D's aint dont nothing from Kesar's pov

Kesar's idiotic mates = scared of his coin toss, coz of what happened last time with their alcohol LOL but as we see Kesar is angry, and it shows in the way he is with his bike and way he comes off it and walks. As we saw in the precap he grabs the bottle and again flashes to what happened before and that flashback he cant ever forget echoing in him, always stops on the fact that Gulaal saying she knew from ages and then the b-day flashback with Gulaal smiling, that gets to him and he starts drinking and another flashback is Durgesh saying what sort of relation do D and Gulaal have after knowing everything.

His friends are impressed and says lets play kabaddi, and Kesar imagines one of his friend is Dushyant whilst its Kesar's go, i dont see this ending so well coz of the alcohol flowing in him and the major anger and the intensity along with it.
Kesar is choking the guy Shockedand pure angerness on Kesar's face, finally his friends have to get him to let go. The way Kesar is going, he is seriously gonna damaged himself and maybe other ppl as well

I have to say Talli summed Kesar up when she had a chat with Sudha, that everyone is worried coz of Kesar, who knows what he does and when he does and how he talks and how he behaves - everyone is worried coz of him, what i noticed is that everyone is worried coz of him but NOT for him (i find thats a difference). Sudha tries to get through to her and saying Kesar needs time and he has been away since 10 yrs, its a long time - he just needs to settle, and then Talli says Gulaal is here, she will be able to make him better Embarrassed well we can only hope, coz there is only one person that can get through to Kesar and thats Gulaal

Gulaal pacing up and down the floor, looking out for Kesar and waiting up for Kesar, like she always does - have you notices he doesnt go to sleep, until he is back - and then also Talli as well, seeing as she is asleep on the sofa and tells her to go to sleep in her room, seeing as she is tired and yep she finally goes LOL

Drunk Kesar has come back home, seeing as his friend had to ride him back and Gulaal opens the door and he is standing there, looking drunk as anything and as we all know, he has always ignored Gulaal ever since he's been back, and he does that again and walks away from her whilst she asks him where he has been and doesnt even want her help when he nearly falls and Kesar takes his arms away from her and says .he doesnt want her support' (Dushyant is watching all this from upstairs) its sad, coz i think deep down all Kesar wants is Gulaal, the Gulaal he looked at and he does need support, care, and love etc - He needs healing

I really like how the scene was done when Kesar walked into his room, and you saw him sit down, the wind blowing at his curtains and with the background music playing, i think you can feel the solitude in that moment, and around Kesar..... and looking at Vasant's photo and playing his tune on that little intsrument thing

Looks like Gulaal isnt letting it go this time, and locks the door, as she says she doesnt want anyone to see him like this, and Kesar asks who the hell she is Shocked and Gulaal is equally surprised, and says you should ask to yourself who i am to you and if you still cant find the answer, then ask who is Motabha and Paanbha to him as well, and finally she splashes his face with water, for a moment i though Kesar was going to lose it with her when she did that, and Gulaal says he has betrayed her and says atleast think of Vasant if not for her or this family, and how he is behaving - from somewhere Vasant is looking at you Ouch and Kesar looks in thought, as we all knew - the only one who can get through to Kesar has to be Gulaal, it seems like she has in a way

Fantastic last scene of Kesar and his inner pain, when talking to Vasant's photo, we can all see the pain he is going through and hiding so deep down, that he doesnt even know how to let it out or even say.......... isnt that what pain does, Kesar knows what he did isnt right but he cant help it, he has got so much pain and loneliness in him like this says he feels lonely even when he has family around him now, and also says what else can i do beside drink..... numbing the pain is what Kesar wanted to do with the drinking and so on
This scene reflects Kesar and his pain, if nobody has yet looked at what he has going through and has been and why he cant even let out his pain to anyone and why he is acting out, the way he is, he is somehow crying out without tears Unhappy

PRECAP - Coin toss is back, Kesar is cunning in a way in the sense he wants to see D's expression and Gulaal, and he askes D why he hasnt gotten married, since he doesnt want to answer he will ask the coin, and says on one side - he doesnt like any girls, the other side will be that who he likes, the girl doesnt like him

Gulaal 19th April 2011 Written Update

Well since yesterday i used a similar title for Gulaal, today's one goes to Kesar, what will happen to him, and what he has suppress in him and what Motabha's expectations are of him and what Kesar intends to do with the truth and moreso himself.............

Jamna Kaki back with her lectures but this time giving them to Dushyant lol, but in her own motherly way in how no one cares how he is and no one is proud of him and so on, and Gulaal walks past and hears that its his Dushyant's b-day tomorrow - judging from her expression she seems to be thinking of doing something, which i dont think will go down so well with Kesar Confused

JK also says any rishta that has come for Dushyant he has turned them down and so on... Dushyant says he is content the way he is and doesnt want to get married

Motabha and Gulaal scene on seeing Kesar and Talli, and that krishna leela question which Motabha asked Gulaal and again poses that question to her - well just hints to her, and we see Gulaal's expression and she knows what Motabha means

Finally a Motabha/Kesar scene, father/son
I like how Gulaal feels the need to speak up for Kesar when MB asks him where he was all this time, and Gulaal says he went to visit friends since he hasnt been here for years. Later on it was nice to see Motabha question Kesar what his manzil is and what he will do now and in the future, and tells him to ask this question to himself and Kes talks in riddle asking he has himself so many questions why and what - obviously connecting to Vasant/Dushyant etc, though overall it was a nice talk and in a nice way, all MB wants is Kesar to be a man who can take on all responsibilties and fulfill them

Talli is still in her var-maal dreamland and she still got it on LOLLOL - and it was nice to Sudha back - seems like ages Embarrassed

Kesar and his written letters to Gulaal, he finally reads one and it sounds so harsh towards Gulaal, so straight to the point on why he didnt want to see, and why he didnt write to her and so on Ouch. Talli comes in and butts in and snatches the letter off him and tells her not to read but we all know Talli, she will try and read and Kesar gets mad grabbing her arm saying i told you not, and also not to touch his things etc - (there one's thing i dont like about a person and that is when they dont respect other ppl's privacy - ok you are playing/essy with them but you dont attempt to read their personal stuff or whatever.)
Again Kesar has to control his anger and calm down and then go over to Talli again and apologies for scaring her

Nok-jhok with Talli and Kesar with Talli chasing Kesar and Kesar stopping on seeing Gulaal, and both are still distant and formal with each other esp Gulaal (when i see Gulaal here, it reminds of how Kes-Gulaal use to be like that - chasing one another) and the way Kesar looks at Gulaal is full of emotions, i mean only seeing Gulaal can Kesar experiences so many emotions in one moment and we saw that when he stopped and looked at her........... and being caught in being so carefree in that moment as well, what he cant be with Gulaal

D's b-day - and everyone around to wish him, only Kesar is being away from the whole group, yep who noticed JK did LOL, and again digs are ready asking Gulaal what has Kesar brought for Dushyant and why is he standing there (Kesar looks on surprised with hints of anger) and go fetch him from there etc

Well i did say when Kesar finds out this was all Gulaal's doing in everyone knowing it was D's birthday, he wouldnt like it and would flashback to what Durgesh said..... - gussa full mode on Kesar's face and will remain it seems, if we see the precap

Precap - Kesar's friends hiding a bottle of alcohol and Kesar says what is it and takes the bottle, and i think Kesar will drink it - and i think somehow it will ease that pain and anger in him for abit, which i guess he needs after what just happened

Gulaal 18th April 2011 Written Update

Gulaal seeing Kesar's old school clothes that she has kept, and remember how he wouldnt got to school - sweet moment that was remembering that scene, and then remembering what happened lately with Gul-Kesar in his room when he grabbed her arm and total her to stop caring and so on

There alot of difference in that old Kesar and this Kesar, but i guess all in all that 'love' and affection is still there from Kesar, and like she said 2 weeks ago, there is love hidden in anger.

I guess Gulaal still wants that Kesar back, the way she holds on that hope and tears up as well Ouch

Kesar remembering what Talli asked him about ppl going away and not doing anything to stop them, Kesar has never stopped thinking about what he heard 10 yrs ago, we all know that he wouldnt, and you saw the one tears and the anger rise in him and then rode off, so much he is keeping inside, the words of that day echoing everytime he probably ever has quiet moment i guess he always flashes back to that day

Jamna Kaki back with her taunts, its not nice what she says coz of how she says it and ti comes across but somehow what she says is the truth however much it feels sour in a way... and then JK is very stubborn as well, the way she was lecturing her hubby, when one doesnt know when one is wrong then there is nothing one can do esp when that person hasnt learnt this in many years, all of JK's kids are gone or bad - look at each of them, Devika was nicest one

Inside the house you have JK and and then outside you have Durgesh - both wanting to somehow break the family up

Talli-Kesar scene, she makes a varr-maal kinda think for him, and asks what is he gonna do with it lol , the thing is when he throw is back to her - it lands around her neck so she is wearing ShockedConfused well you know what happened next - Talli went into her dream world lol

Precap - Motabha says on seeing Kesar-Talli, that Kanha and Radha have grown up, taking us back to the Krishna leela which they all performed at and Gulaal was Rukhmani and even that time Motabha asked Gulaal, what will happen to Rukhmani when Kanha and Radha grow up....... Ouch

From what i can see what happened 10 yrs ago, all those questions and everything is coming back to the present and asking questions isnt it...... The marriage of Kes-Gul, Gul promising Talli of marrying Kesar, Gul's mum thinking of Gulaal/Kesar, and also Talli/Kesar, Motabha asking that question relating to what he asked 10 yrs ago, Gulaal's place in the house etc

Gulaal 15th April 2011 Written Update

Not much happen in the sense of Gul-Kes - but still scenes wise for other characters was good and what it gets across (like i said before i did like this show as a whole show before - coz of the story, acting, setting etc)

Dushyant and Gulaal on if Kesar ever finds out, i think they both cant ever imagine what that will do to Kesar, but we all know what it has done for the last 10 yrs and how he left the house and not even seeing Gulaal for 10 yrs, if you think about it, its like a punishment he gave Gulaal for knowing keeping her away from him from 10 yrs, knowing full well that Gulaal wouldnt be pleased with it and she wasnt, she wrote to him (which we all know he wrote back byt never sent the letters) even visited him over the years but he never once met her but looked to her from afar, and not only that it seems that Kesar himself gave himself a punishment by keeping Gulaal away from him as well....... both away from each other. And even now whatever and however he behaves with Gulaal, you see that the same Kesar who looks to her and seeked her is still there, he hasnt got so cold, or stone-hearted... Kesar is there, his emotions are there... and its all due to Gulaal and how she effects him

Gulaal did the most hardest thing any human being can ever do, and that was forgive to soem extent Dushyant for taking away her husband, her first love....... like Dushyant said he has a massive heart and such strength.... and Dushyant saying if ever Kesar find out - will he ever have that strength that Gul has to somewhat forgive him - Kesar knowing would be a storm raging on all of them and will think they are the enemy.

Ppl who wanted to know why Gul had forgiven Dushyant well you all know why, she says coz it was one of Vasant's dream to keep this family together, if Gulaal can do it then Kesar can as well due to Vasant's dream........... i think the only one who can ever get to Kesar and make him realise has to be Gulaal, only she can calm and see from her pov in time.

Kes-Talli scene on the bike, i have to say it was actually nice to see little Talli (Sparsh) reliving her childhood with her father and the moments she spent in her old house. Kesar was sweet to her, and i can say that how a friend behaves with another friend - a best friend is how Kesar is to Talli (thats how i am seeing it, and thas vibe i get). Pain of losing and not being able to stop them going is what Talli and Kes talk and think about well mainly Talli asks that question and Kesar thinks of Vasant

Seems like Motabha is stuck in his room after the incident last week, hasnt if even mingled with the family at all. Gulaal tells him to come out of the room. Well we know where little Kesar used to get his somewhat stubborness from and its Motabha looking at him right now.. saying no to anything until Gul says atleast for me do this etc. and talk turns to Kesar - Motabah knows he isnt listening to Gulaal anymore and Gulaal always sticks up for him evern since he was little and looks like he is going to come out the room so Kesar doesnt lose his way and also for Gulaal.

PRECAP - Jamna Kaki and her taunts are back lol, and she tells Gul - Kesar use to eat with you and from your hands and now he eats with Talli, and Gul answer well that good, less work for me and they are both good friends, and JK says if Talli takes away all the things you do and in the house, then there is nothing left for Gulaal to do basically saying what is the point of Gulaal in the house. Thats hurtful - such a dig that wasOuch

Gulaal 14th April 2011 Written Update

Gulaal's mum still worried for her daughter, from a mother's pov you can understand why and tries to talk to Reva about Gulaal and how she has been esp that day of him coming back, and Reva answers Gulaal was the most happiest amongst as as Kesar was coming back, she was the one who was looking forward and happy to see him more then all of us, silently Gul's mum prays

It was lovely to see Paanbha excitedly making Kesar's fave that he wanted to eat, and Jamna is sad coz her son Raman is still in prison (dont feel nothing for him) and Paanbha yes boht our sons havwe been away for a long time, Daibha again comes and says the right thing atleast she had Dushyant, Paanbha didnt have Kesar or even Vasant, atleast with Raman you have the hope of him coming back, and Jamna Kaki taunts that who knows maybe Kesar forgets that she is cooking and eats with his friends outside, but at the moment Kesar come and asks for his food, from this i got that a son didnt let his mother's hope down at all - he turned up like he said he would and eat what she made for him

KES - GUL (were most of us were waiting for......)
Kes-Gul scene was heart-touching the most, the past and memories that were brought up, i think one has to see this scene to feel the emotions and everything

Looks like Gul in her own way is trying to get to Kesar, the old Kesar to touch his heart, and it filled her with tears and happiness that she hasnt forgetten anything as we see him looking through the photoalbum that she put in his cupboard, and his expressions and emotions on them said it all and esp when he at the end of the album, it comes to Gulaal's photos - the way he stops and sees them, and Gul's little whimper startles him and shuts the book, as he looks at her and Gulaal looks at him and Gul says very formal shall i say, that dinner is ready downstairs looks like Gul is maintaining a distance of some sort due to what happened in his room when he told her to stay away etc, and Gul walks away whilst again Kesar opens back the album to Gul's photos EmbarrassedEmbarrassedEmbarrassedEmbarrassed

I dont know why but that photoalbum to me, how i saw it like a journey - is baby, childhood photos, everyone in it, and Vasant- Gulaal, V-G-K together, Ram-Leela show they did and then it ends with Gulaal's photos, to me it was indicating his journey has to end with Gulaal only ConfusedEmbarrassed

And dont worry their werent any Kes-Talli photos except maybe the Ram Leela one with everyone in it, the whole school class mates lol

By the way if your wondering where is Talli rani, well she in the episode, she takes food for Kesar as he left without eating it seems to go to the family shop, he even made a remark at Dushyant - we all know he would whenever Dushyant tries to talk to him

Dushyant as i have said before, is in his own guilty path were what he has done will stay with him forever and never leaves him in peace, like he says however much he tries to forget he cant, despite change his ways and becoming a good man to some extent.

Forgetting is something no one can do i think, and exactly what Kesar has done for the last 10 yrs or so, he cant forget and hasnt forgotten how can you and even Gul as well, how can you forget something like this, the reason why Vasant is no longer with them and amongst them....

PRECAP - Motabha asking for Kesar, and Gulaal says he isnt home, and Motabha seems like Kesar doesnt listen to anyone these days and Gulaal unsurely says he listen to me... and Motabha knows full well he doesnt listen to Gulaal anymore

Gulaal 13th April 2011 Written Update

Starts of with Talli and Kesar running together and bang Talli falls on a bed of tomatoes lol, but what Kesar did was abit mean in the sense that she splashed water on her in front of everyone, so you can see from a woman's pov it is abit embarassing and also wet clothes and all that, and some men looking at her, so Kesar covers her with his shirt and tells her to go home, but she doesnt want to go home alone - i did feel bad for Talli coz Kes left her, but he was secretly watching and laughing at her but she was so unsure to go
This scene they did zoom the camera on Talli and Kesar's holding seeing as he was helping her get up coz she wanted help and then the shirt scene

Kesar goes off with two of his childhoon friends, the one who he he slapped in school LOL - later on they are talking and one of them produces alcohol, and Kesar said he doesnt drink - too right, but one of the guys say do the coin toss seeing as he listens to that, but i like what Kesar did, took the drinks and smashed it to the floor Clap - i remember when Kesar had bhaag and he was drunk as anything

Talli comes home and all the ladies are there including Gul's mum, and tells them what happened lol, I think we've seen a few times that Gul's mum, doesnt quite like or isnt sure Talli-Kesar being how they are with one another
earlier in the scene where Talli came in with her clothes drenched (- Jamna Kaki adds more fume in it by saying they are childhood friend and these things will happen) esp how Kesar is with Gul and Talli there is a difference that she has noticed, and i think i can understand from her pov how it looks coz of who Kes-Gul are and so on and later on is worried what will happen to Gul and her future, any mother would be worried esp a life that Gulaal has led if you think about, and Gul's mum says look now Kesar is back and her mum says he is back but will there be a change in her life anytime soon, and what of the relation that was made when years ago (marriage), what will he make of that relation they have, and her dad says there are ppl at Kes's house who do think of her and care for her etc, and with a mother's instinct she sees a big mess/storm coming Gul's way Ouch

Gulaal drying Talli's hair (made me think of how Gul use to do that to KesarEmbarrassed) and Talli saying it doesnt matter that Kesar did it, and Gulaal asks her she loves Kesar alot and Talli shyly nods her head and Gulaal just puts a towel over her head lol

Gulaal keeps thinking of Kesar's words what he said earlier, we all know how much it hurted her and stinged her whilst, bearly listening to what Daibha is saying - and Daibha sees this and i agree with what she says, that Gulaal keeps being quiet and running away from the truth (more so on the pain she is suffering) then slowly slowly inside of her - her own suffering will increase, and suffocating herself with what she is keeping inside her. I also agree that its only Gulaal (other then Vasant) who can get through to Kesar and make him understand and understand Kesar, but Gul disagrees and says not anymore, it seems like she never really understood Kesar at all or even make him understand Ouch. I do love what Faiba said about who Gulaal is, and who she was before and what she could do (with the water business) and says only Gulaal can get that hidden love of Kesar's out of him and to reach to Kesar's heart, only Gulaal is the only one who can get thereEmbarrassed - Gul needed this talk to give her strength and to do her best in it her attempt to get to Kesar Embarrassed

Kes-Gul imli scene

From the word go, we knew Kesar brought something for Gul lovingly as he said coz of how he looks across to her, but making it seem its for Talli - and Talli doesnt like Imli and Kesar knew this lol, and also said if it was me, i would of eaten it all, even if i had to snatch it - Gul remembered the past when Vasant brought her Imli when she was upset and Kesar wanted to also eat it and took it away and she went running after him, telling him to stop Embarrassed
Just to see one smile on Gulaal, it meant alot - that Kesar warmed her heart even if it brought a memory back Embarrassed

Talli asks Gulaal if she wants the Imli, seeing as she doesnt like it and Gulaal takes it and smiles at it, and looks like Kesar achieved what he wanted to do and he comes out and looks at her and you see from Kesar's expression so much emotions i will say on his face, but esp those eyes Embarrassed i guess it was his way of making up and saying sorry in a hidden way but we all know it doesnt change how Kesar has been but its nice to see what he did and how he did it

Gulaal 12th April 2011 Written Update

Starts of from Kesar pulling away his hand and looking away, and guess who walks in - yep you all know Talli LOL i think we were all waiting for when she would arrive and be happy on seeing Kesar awake and nothing else around her seems to matter LOL
Its kinda odd (dont know what other word to use) to see Talli doing what Gul should be doing (and in Gul's place in a way), and what she has been doing long back, feeding Kesar and making sure he is ok, and Talli asks how it is and i think we all knew that Kesar would look at Gul and says something to Talli just to get at Gul, but Kes just looks at Gul and Gul thinks she should leave them to it, seeing as Kes doesnt answer.
Dushyant comes to see him and ask who it was..... and Kesar again says a indirect comment, on even he is trying to see the true faces of ppl, even he doesnt recognise his own ppl, and the other person was a stranger

Durgesh has hit the nail on the head when he talks about fire, and making it more rage inside a person, and we already know there is such fire in Kesar that is burning away and if and when Durgesh gets to him, it will be a rage inside him, that will burn, but Durgesh doesnt know that Kesar knows who killed his brother anyhow seeing Durgesh wants him to know the truth

Kes-Gul scene - (Manasi and Neil were so good in this scene)
Finally the scene we were wating for well i know i was the confrontation of why Kesar is like that with Gul and what she thought woudl happen when he came back and only thought he was angry on being sent away, she finally asks him - and so tearfully she does, and Kesar is angry on her and but still gets some tears in his eyes.

The way Kes looks at her, even Gul sees it now and her expressions changes everytime she hopes that he will be just about ok with her but no... he doesnt even make any talk with her at all, its always Gul talking at him, esp when she tells him things like today, and again Kesar indirectly says yep he isnt her Kesar that she knew and many she isnt the Gulaal he knew as well (well we all know what that means, his view on Gulaal changed years back when he found out that she knew.... ) and today which i was expecting for quite sometime, is for Kesar to grab her arm physically and that surprised Gul alot which i knew it would be.

So much emotions Gul has kept in, and let them out when she was with Kesar, and Kesar as well - remembering what Gulaal said just to him about how he is being towards her.

Lovely mother-son moment between Paanbha-Kesar, the sweet loving Kesar is stil there - the man we saw with Paanbha is that Kesar as a whole person (despite his behaviour towards Gul, coz we know why he is like that with her)

Jamna Kaki seems to come at the right time most of the time with her lectures but her lectures are usually the facts and somewhat truth about the present and the future, like she says to Gul indirectly whilst watching Kes catching Talli as she busted his bike lol, that they are once yours then will become someone else's - the smile on Gul's face changes, i dont think Gul has ever thought of it that way, that Kes wont be her as such if Kes-Talli does happen (assuming thats the reaction what she had today says and if you guys read her reaction/expression like that)

Precap - Its a Kes-Gul one, looks like Kesar is looking at a scrapbook of photos of Gulaal lovingly - i presume he has made this, whilst Gul looks from behind a pillar with a little smile, and Kes notices her and looks at her, and Gul is wiping a tear away and her expression changes - probably assuming Kesar will go in anger mode

Gulaal 11th April 2011 Written Update

Dushyant seems to be lost in thoughts about Kesar it seems and Gulaal comes and asks him if he is will be Kesar's how i put it someone who can guide him i guess Confused on the right path and all that, make him see sense and all that

I guess for a man like Dushyant who has somewhat changed (i wont say i hate him, Dushyant is a somewhat ok/good man - but you can never forget what he did, and also i am on Gulaal's side in what she did with him and all that) can do that but then again from Kesar's pov and what we all know how Kesar feels about him, its the wrong person to do that esp at this moment of time and the way Kesar is.

Dushyant is right when he says that when one forgets the respect and feelings of others, they go on the wrong side of the path, coz thats what he use to be like - had no feelings for anyone and was on the wrong path didnt care who he hurted and got what he want... and he now he is paying for it, thats his punishment (i felt for Dushyant here, he is somewhat leading such a lonely life and what he has done does eat him up esp when he ever crosses his mind and so on) but i think Kesar's frame of mind and how he is, is somewhat different to how Dushyant was, coz Kesar is somethimes putting on a act we all know and how much it pains him to know and think about what he heard 8 yrs ago.

Gulaal again says that Kesar is Vasant's doosra roop, and Vasant ki atma us mein basti hai, and for the time being Kesar can not hear that atma but he cant always close that away, and i also hope that what Gulaal is hoping for never lets her down
ight place beside a husband is always the wife's place, another scene where we saw that again, and how a husband-wife should perform a ritual and again it happened, Kesar today said Gulaal is my wife when Talli was going to do the pooja with them and priest goes only this one a hubby-wifey can do, Talli backed away with a sad face - from what i can see every episode so far has said Kes-Gul are married, they are husband-wife etc
And i dont know how long Talli will be not see this that is what they are , even if ppl arent accepting this fact as yet in the family (i felt for Talli here for abit)

Even Kes-Gul at this moment as well, the fact is they are married how long can they just let that matter drop, its something Jamna Kaki said yesterday i remember about them being married and facing the fact and the truth now.........

Each ritual, each tradition - each whatever they have to do, Bha made a comment yesterday saying a married man cant do all this without his wife with him partipating in it, so yeah this fact is again high-lighted in the episode and seems to be in all the episodes so far - forget how they are married, the age, the reason, - what is highlighted all this is they are married, they are pati-patni to each other
Kesar sees that person who spoke of Vasant and Dushyan 8 yrs back and the who sawe Kesar beat the crap out of those men - and runs after him and gets whack for it behind his head and all the 3 women crowd him, good thing Gulaal was near him WinkLOL

Talli has had quite a shock it seems with seeing well Kes-Gul doing the pooja together coz they have and also then Kesar hurt on his head and cant stop crying about and Gul finds out whats bothering her and says Talli knows everything that the deeyavatu happened and to the ppl she is Kesar's wife, but in this house its different matter, and she knows the truth of it, and says she made a promise to her - that her shaadi will happen to Kesar and once it happens, no one can take Kesar away from her - well i dont blame Gulaal for again saying coz what Gul says is what is right now still the same as before isnt it... but like i said i dont know how long Talli can keep her discomfort in when she hears more about Kes-Gul being married and so on.....

Paanbha is Kesar's mum and today whilst nursing him he just wanted to stay with her son etc
After a long time, it has took for Gulaal to hold Kesar like she did today, to put her hand or his head and hold that hand like she use to whenever he has been hurt himself and so on and also where she can hold his hand with him not taking it away from her, and she had tears running down on face and one teardrop fell on Kesar's hand she was holding, Kesar stirs from his state and sees her but automatically he remembers those words which have haunted him day and night about her knowing and looks away from her and again pains her...... - you got to feel for Gulaal in everyway, so much hurt, so much living as incomplete life yet to much strength and love she has for all

Gulaal 7th April 2011 Written Update

Gulaal enters Kesar's room and tries to find clothes for him to wear. She goes to put the rest of his clothes in the closet and finds all the letters that Kesar wrote but never posted. Before she could see more, he comes there and shuts the suitcase. Gulaal says that everyone missed him a lot and are very happy to see him return. Kesar asks her whether she missed him. Gulaal says that why should she miss him, he did not even reply to her letters and refused to meet her. Then she smiles and says that Vasant put Kesar's responsibility on Gulaal, how could she not remember him. Gulaal leaves and on hearing Vasant's name Kesar flashbacks to the conversation about his death.

Talli comes downstairs in a purple dress. Sudha is happy seeing her, and Talli asks her if Kesar will like her. Sudha asks her whether she should get her married then itself, even the priest is there. Gulaal is in the kitchen. Talli comes there and Gulaal says that she knew that color would look very pretty on her. Talli asks Gulaal what she is making. Gulaal says that she thought of making Kesar's favorite sweets. Talli says that she thought she would make the same sweets for Kesar. Gulaal says ok, Talli should make the sweets and Gulaal will make a vegetable (oondhiyu) for Kesar that he likes.

Paan Baa and Gulaal are talking when Kesar arrives. He wears different clothes from what Gulaal selected. Gulaal is upset and asks him why he wore something else. He says that he did not like what Gulaal chose, he grew up in a boarding school and is now older and Gulaal does not need to hold his hand anymore. Gulaal is upset. Talli goes to Kesar's room and does not find him there, and has some romantic thoughts of him. She then sees his burnt top on the floor - the same top that Gulaal selected for him to wear.

Talli finds Kesar standing on the side. After some small conversation she asks him how she is looking, and he asks her not to eat his head. Talli then asks him why his room had burned clothes. Kesar gets furious and takes her to the side and asks her whether she went to his room to snoop around. She says that she went to his room to call him. He tells her that she dare not touch his things without his permission. He then calms down and says that he was just kidding, he just wanted to see if she would get scared. She comes around.

Talli goes to sit next to Kesar when the priest says that only a wife can sit near the husband. Gulaal says that Talli will sit with them, but the priest says that Gulaal will have to sit to Kesar's right since that is the position for a wife. During prayer Gulaal has to hold Kesar's elbow and it is an awkward position. Talli smiles at Kesar and blushes, but he keeps having flashbacks to Vasant's death. He takes his elbow away from Gulaal's hand. (Clearly Kesar is boiling, I mean so many years he kept the truth about Vasant's death to himself and he must have had so many misconceptions about Gulaal, he is now seething like anything!). The priest makes Rohan wear the holy thread and he has to beg from everyone in the family. Everyone gives him something.

Durgesh is praying and Kamlesh instigates him by saying that Kesar hit all Durgesh's men, how could Durgesh let him walk away. Durgesh says that the injury done to his men is physical and they will get cured, but the injury he has done to Mota Bha will never get cured. Kamlesh says that Mota Bha would have heard about his son's courage, and in their own house they must be celebrating, and they may have to pay a price for letting Kesar walk away. With Kesar's arrival Mota Bha's courage will increase. Durgesh says that then they should reduce Mota Bha's courage. He flashbacks to his conversation with Raman in prison. Durgesh tells Kamlesh that he will turn all the family members against each other.

Gulaal 6th April 2011 Written Update

Gulaal calls out Kesar's name and is overwhelmed to see him. He flashbacks to his childhood with her. She has tears in her eyes and welcomes him. Kesar then flashbacks to the conversation about Dushyant's killing Vasant and Gulaal's knowing about it. Gulaal says that she has seen him after so long, he did not reply to her letters or even meet her, not once did he think of her, and not a single day passed by when she did not think of him. Kesar says that Mota Bha sent him to the boarding for education. Gulaal says that it was hard for her as well to see him gone. Kesar tosses a coin and says that depending on which side shows Gulaal's intentions will be revealed. The coin stands on its side, and Kesar says that Gulaal's intentions are mixed, good and bad. Gulaal says that the truth behind relationships cannot be revealed by the flip of a coin.

Talli continues to hide and see Kesar. Sudha asks her why she does not go meet him directly, and she says that Kesar should come to meet her first. Kesar finds Talli and asks her why she is hiding, growing up her face is not that ugly that she has to hide. Talli says that Kesar did not even write and ask about her. Kesar says that he did not waste time writing letters but spent it in studying and making something for her. He gives her a gift, when she opens it its a jack-in-the-box and he starts laughing. He laughs and starts leaving when she asks him for her gift. He gives her bangles, which match her dress. She asks him to put them on for her, he refuses. She feels happy with the gift and Sudha looks on.

Kesar enters his room and flashbacks to his childhood times with Vasant, and looks at his photo with Vasant and Gulaal. He then flashbacks to his childhood time with Gulaal and her teachings. He says to himself that Gulaal you are right, I am also standing in front of my mission. Talli happily shows Gulaal the bangles Kesar gave her, and Gulaal flashbacks to her time with Vasant. Talli asks Gulaal which dress to wear, what will Kesar like. Gulaal chooses a purple dress and says that she will ask Kesar to wear matching clothes with Talli.

Precap: Gulaal is going through Kesar's suitcase and says that she is looking for clothes for Kesar to wear during the ceremony for Rohan, Reva's son.

I cannot believe Gulaal is rummaging through Kesar's suitcase. She really treats him like a kid. He is grown up now, and she should give him some time given that he refused to see her all these years. The episodes feel like filler.

Gulaal 5th April 2011 Written Update

Dushyant hugs Kesar and praises him feeling happy with his courage. He says that Kesar should have come home and both of them together would have taught these people a lesson. Kesar says that he is enough to do that. Dushyant says that Kesar has grown up so much that he doesn't need blessings. Kesar asks Dushyant for blessings and says that he needs the blessing to teach every sinner a lesson no matter what their form. Dushyant is a little confused hearing Kesar, but feels happy and hugs him again and says that today he should stay away from fights. Gulaal asks Paan Baa not to worry, but Jamna Kaki says that Kesar should not have diverted his route and has put Dushyant's life at a risk as well. Sudha supports Kesar but Jamna Kaki continues. Her husband asks her not to make matters worse. Talli continues praying. A villager arrives and tells everyone about Kesar's winning the fight. Gulaal goes to tell Talli. Talli is very excited to see Kesar and tells Sudha that she will be the first one to see him.

Talli runs to see Kesar. The jeep arrives with Kesar but another vehicle passes by and there is so much dust that Talli cannot see him and the jeep passes by, Talli feels sad. She runs to catch up with the jeep. Gulaal has tears in her eyes and prays to Goddess and wonders at Kesar's reaction today. Kesar arrives and flashbacks to his childhood when he sees his house. Talli keeps trying to get a glimpse of Kesar. Kesar takes Paan Baa's blessing and she is crying. Kesar greets everyone else. Talli keeps trying to see Kesar but is not able to with the crowd around him. She drops a vase and Kesar turns around, sees her, and smiles at her.

Gulaal 4th April 2011 Written Update

A ceremony is going on for Reva's son since he is 8 years old (I think). Mota Bha is happy that Kesar is returning. Talli asks the chef to cook sweets again to Kesar's liking. A few villagers come to meet Mota Bha with an issue - Durgesh is troubling the farmers and has ordered that their fields be destroyed. (I didn't understand what exactly Durgesh is doing - the Hindi was too pure for me! ). Mota Bha goes to visit Durgesh at the temple. Mota Bha asks Durgesh to have some mercy on the poor farmers, and if he is doing this for money that the farmers owe him then Mota Bha will pay their debts. Durgesh says that it is not just about money, he wants to see their fields destroyed at any cost. Mota Bha asks whether Durgesh doesn't care at all about the poor farmers, and Durgesh says no, he doesn't care, and they should have thought of it before taking a loan from Durgesh.

Mota Bha yells in anger that just because God made Durgesh what he is doesn't mean that he takes his anger out on farmers, and whether he has no shame. Durgesh says that he did feel ashamed when Gulaal slapped him and Mota Bha's family insulted him in front of the entire village, which is why he is taking revenge and wants the entire village to beg for mercy. Mota Bha continues yelling that Durgesh is not worth standing in front of the temple, and no matter how much Durgesh prays the Goddess will never forgive him. Durgesh says that he is just taking revenge and he did not start this. Mota Bha says that if he had guts he would have taken revenge in front of them rather than like this as a coward. He says that Gulaal was right, Durgesh does not have a woman's softness nor a man's courage. Durgesh yells Mota Bha's name and catches his shirt collar. He asks Mota Bha to go away else he will be compelled to forget who Mota Bha is. Mota Bha says that he is not scared of death since he is a man. Durgesh says that he will take whatever is the most important for Mota Bha. Some men come from behind and take hold of Mota Bha. Durgesh removes Mota Bha's turban and throws it away, tears his clothes and colors Mota Bha's face black.

Mota Bha goes home in that state and everyone is shocked. Some villagers come and say that Kesar heard about Mota Bha's condition and went straight to Rashipur (where Durgesh was). Durgesh's men circle Kesar with sticks. Talli prays to God. Kesar fights and hits all the men with a stick and wins the fight. Kesar is in jeans, shirt and sneakers. He is a cute guy. Dushyant comes there and smiles proudly, he and Kesar walk towards each other. Kesar flashbacks to the conversation about Dushyant's killing Vasant.

Precap: Talli runs to meet Kesar and sees something that shocks or upsets her.

Gulaal 1st April 2011 Written Update

Kesar is standing in a room fuming with anger. Gulaal writes a letter to Kesar. Talli comes and says that she will write as well and asks Gulaal not to look. Gulaal mails it and Kesar receives and reads it. Kesar responds in a letter that he is very lonely there and misses home. He then drops the letter in his drawer - the drawer has other letters to Gulaal clearly indicating that he did not post any letter. The principal is talking to Gulaal and Devika saying that initially Kesar had a hard time adjusting and used to get very angry, but now he is used to the boarding school and has calmed down. The peon arrives saying that Kesar wants to meet Devika first. Gulaal gives Devika a bag to give Kesar.

Devika is happy seeing Kesar and gives him sweets (laddoo) made by Gulaal. He says that he does not like sweets. He asks her to feed him the snacks that she (Devika) made. Devika says that Gulaal has come there as well; he says that he has to go study. Devika asks him to wait and whether he will not meet Gulaal. Kesar refuses and says that everything is done there in a timely manner and he needs to be at the study place on time, and Devika should leave now. Devika goes to Gulaal and tells her that Kesar refused to meet Gulaal. Gulaal says that she knows that he is mad at her so he is behaving in this manner, and Kesar holds her responsible for separate rooms and his being sent to the boarding school. Kesar watches them leave, Gulaal turns around and he hides and takes a bite of the sweet.

Talli asks whether Kesar misses her, and Gulaal says that yes. Talli feels very happy, and tells Sudha happily that Kesar liked her snacks. Sudha says that if she makes such good food then she will get her married happily. Talli says that she will never leave the house. Gulaal says that it is possible by marrying Talli to Kesar. Talli asks how that is possible since Kesar is her childhood friend, and Gulaal says that it is. (Why is Gulaal leading her on? She is still living in her fairytale that Kesar will listen to whatever she says. Seriously, Gulaal can be so thick sometimes). Talli goes to the temple and when they show her again, she is grown up.

The voiceover says that Talli is harboring her love for Kesar. A grown up Kesar is shown and he continues to write letters to Gulaal but doesn't post them. Gulaal continues to come to visit but Kesar refuses to see her. Dushyant has improved and is busy improving the conditions of the village. Mota Bha is still the head of the village but all responsibilities have been handed off to Dushyant, who consults Gulaal on all matters. Jamna Kaki has not yet changed and is angry that Raman is in jail and Dushyant is pro-Gulaal. Reva has a young son. Talli serves everyone happily at home, and Sudha loves her a lot.

Raman is in prison, and Durgesh comes to visit him. Raman is surprised to see him. Durgesh says that he has come to help Raman. (After 10 years this guy has come to make trouble - so unbelievable. What made him wake up)? Reva and Yogesh go to meet Mota Bha's family. Paan Baa tells Reva that Kesar is coming the next day, and Talli blushes. (The actor Yogesh is completely different - I liked the old one better).

Precap: Mota Bha tells Durgesh angrily that Gulaal was right about him, he doesn't have the kindness of a woman or the strength of a man. Durgesh yells out angrily "Mota Bha", removes his turban, and blackens his face with a few men holding Mota Bha. Everyone laughs, and Mota Bha is fuming with anger and humiliation.

I cannot believe that Durgesh is back after 10 or so years - seriously, was he in hibernation for that long? What an idiot. And Devika is not yet married - how is that possible? Jamna Kaki would never bear the humiliation of having her unmarried daughter at home, and Devika is a nice enough girl to get married especially with Mota Bha's power.

Gulaal 31st March 2011 Written Update

I watched a video that did not have the entire show on March 30, so I watched another one today and am writing the remaining update for yesterday.

March 30 update
Gulaal asks Kesar to go to his room. Kesar sees a vase on the table and flashbacks to the discussion about Dushyant's killing Vasant. He gets furious and throws the vase on Dushyant's head. Mota Bha yells "Kesar" and slaps him. Mota Bha apologizes to Dushyant on Kesar's behalf and Dushyant asks him not to. Gulaal says that she will talk to Kesar. Mota Bha says that no use talking to him, its too late, and he has to find a solution for Kesar. Gulaal applies medicine on Dushyant's head, and Kesar looks on from above thinking of Durgesh's words questioning Gulaal's relationship with Dushyant.

March 31 update

Mota Bha is pacing in his room worried recalling all of Kesar's words and actions. The postman comes to meet Gulaal and says that Talli's father passed away in a road accident, and that his body is not in a condition to be brought there. Gulaal starts crying. The postman says that he heard that Talli is close to Mota Bha's family so he came there. Gulaal goes to meet Talli who is crying, Talli hugs her.

Sudha is leaving the house with her suitcase when Devika stops her. Jamna Kaki comes there, Sudha takes her blessing and touches her feet but Jamna Kaki walks away. Sudha is in tears. Devika stops her from leaving, but Sudha says that she has no reason to stay there anymore. Gulaal comes there with Talli and tells Sudha that Talli is her reason to stay. Gulaal tells Sudha about Talli's plight and says that Sudha could be her mother - Talli will have a mom and Sudha a daughter. Sudha sees Talli crying and wipes her tears and hugs her.

Gulaal goes to Mota Bha's room and tells him about Sudha's decision to adopt Talli. Mota Bha approves of it. Gulaal says that Kesar is not growing up and they will have to now deal with him in a sensitive manner. It is good that Talli will live with them and Kesar will be happy as well. Mota Bha gives Gulaal a letter and says that he had to do something about Kesar before things got out of hand, and now onwards Kesar will go to a boarding school. Gulaal asks him how could he send Kesar away, but Mota Bha says that his decision is final and it is for Kesar's own good that he has made the decision. Gulaal asks Mota Bha's brother to do something about Kesar's situation, Mota Bha will listen to him. The brother says that he tried to convince Mota Bha but it was useless, and nobody can change Mota Bha's mind. Talli listens in, Gulaal sees her listening and Talli leaves.

Talli goes to Kesar's room and says that he too will go far away from her. Gulaal says that she tried to change Mota Bha's mind but to no avail. She asks Kesar to ask Mota Bha for forgiveness, Talli agrees, but Kesar starts packing his bag. Gulaal asks him what the matter is, and why is Kesar behaving in this manner, what is the anger that is eating at him. Kesar doesn't listen.

Kesar brings his suitcase down. Mota Bha tells him that he is sending him to the boarding school not to scare him but for his bright future. Kesar nods his head in agreement and says that he is ready to go, and glares at Dushyant. Talli tells Kesar that he should not forget her, she will wait for him. Gulaal hugs Kesar but he doesn't respond and gets in the jeep to leave. Gulaal runs after the moving jeep and asks Kesar to take care of himself, she will write to him and come to visit. Kesar doesn't look at her even once. Gulaal starts crying.

Precap: Tall tells Sudha that Kesar liked her hand-made food.
