We are still in the Kesar’s Bedroom havng our fill of Kesar,Kesmma Diramma …Kesar orders Shakthi to let go oh her hand, which he was holding on…Shakthi seeks another chance to work on their Marriage Kesar categorically states that she does not want to stay with Shakthi..Kesmma scolds Kesar for her stupisidty, orders her to give another chance to Shakthi, A emboldened Shakthi grabs Kesar’s wrist and says “What say ” ..Kesar pulls her hands from Shakthi’s Hands and walks out of the room. A Thwarted Kesmma’s Mask slips and she shows her ugly side, She berates her Daughter for her foolish decision , tells her that she has become stubborn, clasps her hand and tries to pull towards the bedroom..A retiring Kesar pleads for understanding from her mother , wonders how she can say all this after knowing everything ..Kesmma is not bothered , she threatens to slap Kesar , if Kesar does not obey her ..There is a commotion going on ..and drawn by this ,,like a Bee to the Nectar ..comes out our Joan Of Arc, Pratigya..
Pratigya steps out and comes out hurriedly to Kesar’s side ..Shakthi’s heart sinks at her approach, he starts to mutter, ‘Ah ! Here comes the Judge all ready to pronounce her judgment “..Pratigya comes and queries the reason for the tension..Kesmma rudely tells her that this a sensitive matter between Hubby and wife and She Kesmma is there to take care of it and heatedly informs Pratigya not to meddle in affairs that do not concern her ..Pratigya turns a deaf ear to Kesmma’s arguments replies that this is not just a marital problem..this concerns the whole house ..and so she has a right to meddle ..Krishna comes out of the room, irritated by the disturbance ** Poor Guy is being cheated of his chummi’s ** wonders why all the people are indulging in Diramma at this hour of Night… Shakthi exasperatedly tells him..Only u were missing in this equation..Aey Baba ..why don’t u take ur wife and leave ..Krishna is gob smacked by this sensible advice and is all ready to hustle Pratigya to the Inner sanctum for few hours of ………. Shut Eye ** tanthya Innocently…U Naughty Girls **..Pratigya stops him , commands Kesar to give details ..Kesar gives the full details hesitantly .
Pratigya turns utterly sweet , and reasonable, enquires as to why Kesmma is intent on spoiling her daughter’s life. why Kesmma is pushing Kesar back to Shakthi, Kesmma acidly retorts that you are looking at ur benefits , Kesmma sharply demands as to why Pratigya interferes in another Peoples life [ shakthi cant believe his ears, here is a woman taking on Pratigya bravely..A pratigya in front of whom strong men like Shakthi quail ] .Pratigya rejoins saying that everyone knows what Shakthi did to Kesar and that is the only reason why no wants Kesar to live with Shakthi ..She further informs a angry kesmma , that she is free to discuss this issue with Sajjan SSIngh and until then Kesar will spend the night with her…Kesar hesitates ..Krishna adds his voice to Pratigya’s ** Jaise ki yeh koi nayi baat hai ** ..The trio leave ..Kesar and Pratigya occupy the bed ..while Krishna prepares to lye down on the couch which has magically appeared today .
Krishna turns to look at Pratigya, A delighted smile breaks out, clears his voice, signaling Pratigya,Pratigya wakes up turns towards Krishna..Krishna signs for her to come and sit beside him..Pratigya refuses to come, indicates that he shud be quiet and sleep ..Promptly closes her eyes..Krishna smiles and goes to sleep.
NEXT MORNING
Pratigya wakes up to a lonely room , Krishna comes out from the Magic Room after having his bath..Pratigya is surprised and is appreciative of Krishna’s High energy activity ..Krishna happily carolls that he is going out to pick up a site to start his Dhaba ..Pratigya is touched and softly says that Krishna is a Good Man ** was it just last month , when She implied that Krishna was a horrid man, This Woman na..never t stick to their stand ** Krishna pretends to be hard of hearing and tells Pratigya to repeat the last statement..But Pratigya does not oblige ..She scrambles to get Breakfast for Krishna..But Krishna thinks that one long look of Pratigya is enough ..and that it will bring all the Good Luck..But a non romantic Pratigya is all about Nourishment, she scoots out to prepare Breakfast for Krishna.
Krishna hurries out from the room, sits down and begins to gulp down the breakfast set by Pratigya..Sajjan Singh comes down and enquires the reason for the rush ..Krishna says he is leaving to scout for land.. Krishna bends and takes Sajjan Singh’s Blessing while Amma turns up her nose at Krishna’s announcement and dashes to the kitchen..Sajjan Singh is happy , Tells Krishna that A father’s blessing’s are always with their kids..kisses him and blesses him .
AFTER A WHILE
Kesmma is coming out all packed and moaning as if in pain..Sajjan Singh who was perched in his favourite spot and having his Tea, notices her arrival….wants to know where she is going ..Kesmma sadly replies that she has stayed on for a long time , now is the time for her departure . Kesmma Sighs and moans ..says she cant atke any more insults , so will be going ..but will always remember them ..An Irritated Sajjan Singh sharply tells her to come out with what is troubling her..Kesmma does not reply ..and plies butter on Ghanti Dadi..Sajjan Singh wants to know whether Amma said something rudely..Kesmma immediately pips up that Amma is like a sister and she can do no harm to anyone ..A mollified Amma wants to know as to what happend ..Kesmma begins to give huge dry sobs , strolls and squats in the center of the room..and begins to holler that yesterday night Pratigya insulted her.. Sajjan Singh is irritated by Kesmma’s Drama, orders her to shut up and narrate everything without crying ..Kesmma says that she wanted her daughter Kesar to have the same sort of life that Krishna and Pratigya are enjoying ..and when She kesmma was engaged in this stuff..Pratigya interfered and began to take kesmma to task ..Pratigya is moved to protest saying that Kesmma is twisting everything , Amma tells her to be quiet and asks Kesmma to give details . An Unhindered Kesmma continues to pour out Posion, Kesmma sasy that Kesar is getting influenced by others , when her Hubby is seeking forgiveness, it is her duty to forgive him , move ahead in life ..cos Marriage is a compromise and not a relationship of hatred.. cos she is being ruled by other people..Shakthi pips out saying that ” If that Woman[ kesar] will stay as his wife, only then will he stay on in the Haveli else will leav the Haveli “..Sajjan Singh comes towards Shakthi , coldly tells Shakthi that he is welcome to leave the house but he does not trust Shakthi an inch..cos Shakthi was the reason for Sajjan Singh not seeing a Grand Child till date… Kesmma defends her Son In law staunchly , saying that Shakthi should be given another chance.. Sajjan Singh irritatedly explodes that Shakthi is a stupid Bull, prone to violence ,,and cannot be trusted ..Kesmma assures Sajjan Singh that she is there and she will take care of Kesar and her Grandchild , Kesmma just wants Sajjan Singh to get Kesar to live with Shakthi.
Sajjan Singh walks up to Kesar and asks whether Kesar wants to live with Shakthi, Kesar refuses to live with Shakthi..Immediately Kesmma begins her Acct II of the play..she begins to yell and lament that she has been mortified by the way she has brought up Kesar.. she is being humiliated ..the only solution is for Kesamma to die..so saying, she scrounges out a bottle of Poison , tucked conveniently in the bundle ..Pratigya has had enough..she walks to Kesmma, contemptuously tells Kesmma that she is pretending to end her life , but is intent on ending Kesar’s life..Pratigya dares Kesmma to drink up the Poison..A stung Kesmma drinks it up..All look on in shock except for Sajjan singh and Pratigya..
