A sari vendor comes to the haveli and begins to display his ware to the seated ladies.The Sari vendor shows them Chitchor sari, Dilwale Bahuria le jayenge sari..All the women are excited and are looking at various sari's ..Pratigya selects a sari and informs Kesar that Kesar will look good in that..Kesar gives a happy smile ..Ghanti Dadi chooses a Red color sari,calls out to Piyasiya , tells her to inform Amma to get it for Pratigya ** Hey Bhagwan, at this rate all of Pratigya's sari will be in Red and shades of Red** ..It is at this moment that Saand of Allahbad comes out for stroll from his stable aka bedroom..Krishna pauses by the sari vendor,watches the excited activity of the womenfolk ..Listens to the prices quoted by the merchant..Krishna very cunningly begins to enquire about the current market trend, the profit margin of the vendor ** Market Survey shuru** and how much the vendor earns per month , The vendor evasively replies that what he earns is not sufficient for his daily bread it self..Krishna does not buy that , He presses for more explanation, A bewildered Vendor says that the profit is not great ..A silent Sajjan Singh who had been overhearing this convo gives an amused smile..

The sari seller says that it costs RS.1800 ..Before Amma can react , Krishna quips that the Sari seller is quoting a very high price and is taking the women folk for the ride..The Vendor refutes this saying he is only charging them reasonable price ..A mistrusting Krishna challenges the Sari seller says that he will prove the Sari seller is fleecing the Thakur women..Krishna calls up Chandu , orders him to find the price of Benares's Apsara wali Jhilmil Sari ** Pheww** ..Chandu is puzzled , seeks to know the reason for this profound enquiry..A n impatient Krishna orders Chandu to do as he is told..Meanwhile in The Haveli, Sajja n Singh adds his contribution he tells his wife to buy a bright yellow sari, But Amam says she already has 14 yellow sari's** Never saw even one till date ** ..The poison Ivy of the Haveli,Kesmma pips up saying that Amma looks beautiful in Yellow..Amma is pleased ..Kesmma continues had she were to select , she would have gone for the yellow sari {This after giving a ingratiating look towards Sajjan Singh] Amma's face turns as if she just had a whiff of something unpleasant ..The hospitable Sajjan Singh tells Kesmma to buy a sari too..Kesmma chooses to buy the yellow one , Amma glares at the departing Sajjan Singh's back and shoots a look of dislike at Kesmma ** If looks could kill , Kesmma would be a burnt toast **
The 2 dutiful lieutenants trudge to the nearest sari seller,find out the market price, calls up Krishna ,informs him that the sari is for Rs.1100 ..a triumphant Krishna turns on the hapless Sari seller accuses him of cheating , orders his Amma not pay more than the market price ..and for all his unsolicited Help, Krishna is told to keep his nose out of the joint and let the ladies deal with ..An aggrieved Krishna says that he was trying to help them ..But amma tells him that they will take care of the matter , no need for him to interfere ..Krishna protests that he was protecting them ..Pratigya tries to calm his ruffled feathers , but realizing that he will not be easily calmed , drags him to the privacy of the Bedroom and gives a Mini-Bhashan The essence of which is ..one should not make fun of Poor People ** It Means that it is alright to be cheated ** ..Krishna replies that he was not making fun of the Sari Merchant , He, Krishna was trying to find out about the ins and outs of the sari business cos he has now decided to stand on his own feet..Says that he does not want to lie to Pratigya anymore, The fear of her Loss has finally brought him to his sense and that he has decided to be sensible and take responsibility..Krishna reveals that He has even spoke about the capital amount needed for beginning the venture and His father, Sajjan Singh has agreed to sponsor, A question is raising on Pratigya's lips, Krishna quells it before it can be articulated .. Krishna quite emphatically states that He will be taking this as the loan only and he will repay every penny as soon as he gets his first month's profit ** He is overestimating his talent and the turnover**..Pratigya is happy, pleased and touched to hear such words spouting out of an irresponsible Krishna's mouth ..

The Saxena woman are assembled in the hall, each immersed in their own job, when Komal comes tagging few men with her..One of them is carrying a gas cylinder ..Komal orders the men to go into the kitchen and fix it up..Komal follows the men.The three Sax women too rush behind Komal.. dadi demands to know the reason for Komal's latest diramma, asks y r u separating the stove ..Komal says this Diramma is happening because of you, you forced me into doing this ...Aarushi leaves the room silently..Nainaji twitters that they are not jealous of Adarsh's Promotion** As I recall Komal never said u r jealous ..so y r u fixated on that ..Nainaji..u r jealous..aren't u ** ..We are just disappointed that he lied to us ..Komal tartly replies that they are not sax's pet animals for them to push and pull as they please.Komal replies that you do not want to eat from Adarsh's Money, then why would I want to eat from yours..do you think that I do not have self respect , you talk down to him and expect me to stand by and watch..nainaji begs Komal not to divide the kitchen.. BACK TO HAVELI..
Amma and Ghanti Dadi are having their usual ambrosia , A hot , cheering Tea..Krishna comes to the hall in search of Pratigya, sees Ghanti Dadi holding a plateful of biscuits , picks one takes a bite and enquires about Pratigya, Ghanti Dadi with her mouth crammed with Biscuits tries to splutter out in the kitchen but succeeds only in making an unintelligible sound..She looks at Amma.Amma supplies the answer ..Krishna is surprised to know that Pratigya is in the Kitchen and loudly wondering as to the reason why Pratigya is in the kitchen, goes there followed by Amma's sarcastic, What will any woman do in the Kitchen?.
Krishna enters the Kitchen , sees Pratigya sauteing some onions, scolds her for working in such a condition..berates his Kesar for allowing Pratigya to work..Pratigya protests that she is fed up of sitting without doing any work , More ever the wound is on the left side ..so there is no pain..and she can work..Krishna will not hear and urges her to take rest..Pratigya refuses .. Seeing that Pratigya is adamant, Krishna loftily informs that he will cook..Pratigya tries to shoo him off..but Krishna remains stubborn ..Krishna cooks under the tutelage of Pratigya.. Soon the stew begins to sizzle and simmer and so does Amma who had been listening to the conversation happening in the kitchen... Krishna tastes the stew and appreciates the taste of it while Pratigya is happy ..Amma is Unhappy and is glaring in the direction of the Kitchen
