Bhaagon Waali 30th May 2011 Written Update

The episode starts with Runjhun and Mahadevi walking through the doors of Pandey Niwas. The 3 Mamis are working in their kitchen. Mittho walks over and starts with her verbal abuse asking where they were gone so early in the morning. Kalsanwali joins in and starts with her physical threats of hurting Runjhun and pulls her by her arm. Billo joins the other 2 with the same kind of threats. Runjhun's both arms are pulled by Kalsanwali and Billo, with both giving her a long list of chores to do. Mittho stands there and rolls her eyes. The 2 Mamis start to bicker over whose work takes priority. Mittho, feeling left out, joins the duo with her list and threatens to withhold food and water until Runjhun finishes her chores. She pushes Runjhun out of the way to get started.

Mittho then turns on Mahadevi and questions her about where she went so early in the morning. Mahadevi stays mum. She asks Mahadevi to go to her room and Runjhun will bring her tea there. Mahadevi declines tea as he goes up the steps. Runjhun starts her tasks as sad music plays in the background. In their room, as she is mopping the floor, she spots "the calendar" that caused all the upheaval between her and Guddu and gets pensive.

She is back in the great room of Pandey Niwas and sewing when Mittho and Billo throw more things at Runjhun to do. Runjhun sits there quietly and Jamadar Kalsonwali joins in with more of her stuff in her threatening way. She pulls Runjhun up from the floor by her arm and asks her to pick up her washables as Guddu enters the room from outside. On hearing Guudu's voice, Kalsanwali lets go of Runjhun's arm and because of the force of the pull, Runjhun stumbles backwards with an armload of clothes, as Guddu leans forward to steady her. Runjhun hangs on to Guddu's supporting hand for a minute. The 3 Mamis look on with fear and Guddu turns Runjhun sideways in his arms to look at her. They look at each other and Guddu looks back at Kalsonwali.

Guddu walks towards Kalsanwali who is clearly afraid now and starts back-stepping. She wants to say something but words don't come out. The other 2 Mamis look on. Guddu tells Kalsanwali, referring to Runjhun, that this girl has done enough nautanki (drama), make her work. Runjhun has become lazy, give her more work. The Mamis are shocked and then smirk. Guddu then turns to Runjhun and yells at her to work with imandari (as in put your mind to it). Runjhun stands there teary-eyed and shocked. He barks at Kalsanwali again to ask her if she understood. Mittho and Billo smirk and Kalsanwali barely nods affirmatively. Guddu kicks some containers and leaves the great room to go to their room upstairs. He is angry and the hands are back on the hips as he stands there thinking.

Runjhun Mishra is baaack in Guddu's head!

He talks to himself that this is exactly what he should have done to her. Runjhun Mishra was not working as he did not give her enough to do. And because she did not work, she became too complacent. Now she will not have time to give him pravachans (sermons). Now she will neither give pravachans nor will she bother him, hence she will not have time to think of winning the chunauti (challenge).

Mittho is heard screaming about Runjhun not finishing the chores given to her. Guddu walks over to the window to look down on the scene with the 3 Mamis standing over Runjhun. He is struggling mentally with what he sees being said and done to Runjhun, he turns away and turns back to watch. He waves his arm in a fist, almost steps towards the door and walks back to the bed, angrily questioning himself what is wrong with him. What is happening to him? Why is he feeling so bad? He tells himself to get with reality. He sees himself in the dressing table mirror and feels that the more he thinks about it, he will be trapped and he has to win the challenge. If he wants to win against Runjhun Mishra, then he needs to think of the challenge only.

He is sitting on the edge of the bed when Runjhun walks into the room with his food. Runjhun looks back at him hurt and they get in an eyelock, but he is the first to turn away. He looks at the plate sideways while thinking and she quietly asks him to eat. He berates her for the choice of food she has cooked and that he does not want to eat such trashy food. She looks on hurt as he picks up the food and starts eating. As soon as he puts the first morsel in his mouth, he splutters and chokes and tells her that it is too spicy and he does not want to eat food prepared by her. For 5 more days she will not add chillis to the food. He angrily tells her that the nuts and bolts that have loosened in her brain, he will surely tighten them. He will shatter her ahemkar (ego) in the 5 days. He says he gave her so much importance in his life that she is doing "tandav" (a rigorous dance attributed to Shiva, the Destroyer, in Hindu mythology) on his head. He turns away from her while she stands there hurt and crying. As he is facing the mirror at that moment, he looks up to see her tears and visibly softens a bit.

The 3 Mamis are in Mittho's bedroom, gurgling with laughter, celebrating their victory. They are dreaming of the day when Guddu leaves Runjhun and then she is theirs again (hah!). They are cackling away about their good fortune when Rajju walks in glum-faced. The 3 sober up and Mittho asks him if something is the matter. He says that if things happen this way, their bhag will go out the door. He mentions that the boy's parents are coming to fix the wedding and are asking for Mahadevi's kundli (astrological chart). If the chart does not match, what will happen? Mittho is upset that the boy's side is doing this so late in the game. Kalsanwali says that no worries they have a solution for this in their house. They can get Runjhun's kundli and pass it off as Mahadevi's kundli. Mittho does not like that and wants a kundli made just like Runjhun's. She tells Kalsanwali that she has Runjhun's kundli and Kalsanwali realizes that she does not know where it is. While Mittho, Rajju and Kalsanwali are thinking, Billo thinks of her own advantage as Runjhun will continue to stay in the house.

It is nighttime. Guddu is eating supper and Runjhun is watching him silently. She tells Guddu that if she has made a mistake, to forgive her. She knows she should not have had thandai (the drink laced with bhang) and she is sure she did something untoward while under the influence or he would not be so upset with her. Guddu angrily tells her why should he be angry. What difference would it make to her if he is upset? Runjhun counters that if he is not upset, why does he flare up every other moment at her? She is totally unaware what she did to upset him while under the influence, and she asks for his forgiveness regardless. Runjhun gets down on her knees in front of Guddu, who is sitting on the settee eating, holds her ears and tearfully pleads to be forgiven. It clearly affects Guddu who gets up, turns sideways and asks her to disappear from his sight, to leave right away and he does not want to see her in front of him. Runjhun is visibly upset. He says she does things behind his back and is not a straight talker. She does that over and over again. He tells her to her face but she goes behind his back. He has seen her drama for 25 days. 5 days are left and in those 5 days, Guddu Shukla will do what Guddu Shukla desires. He will be Dabangg Guddu Shukla. He angrily asks her to scoot, get lost. He does not wish to see her face. Runjhun watches him with tears flowing and the sad Bhagonwali song playing in the background. She gets up and leaves the room, while Guddu stands there with his hands on the hips.

Precap. Guddu, Amma and Runjhun are in their room. Amma advises Guddu that only he can do something. Her Mama Mamis think of Runjhun as their naukar (servant). Guddu is the only one who can teach them a lesson. He turns to face Runjhun with a scowl and addresses Amma that Runjhun has become inured of atyaachar (torture), let her suffer. Just as Runjhun has worked her wiles on him and weakened him, she can do the same to her Mama-Mamis. Amma and Runjhun are shocked to hear Guddu's words.

A personal note:

This episode portrays Himmanshoo Malhotra at his best as Guddu. It is such a pleasure watching him go through his internal conflict. Nivedita Tiwari matches him in every scene. I will have to watch again later to really appreciate it.

Bhaagon Waali 26th May 2011 Written Update

Gudd tries to bring Runjhun in the house but she keeps on swaying. He sees Kalsanwali coming from upstairs and pulls her aside and wraps his fingers over Runjhun's mouth to keep her from speaking. He hold her till Kalsanwali disappears, even as Runjhun tries to break free, then he quickly takes her upstairs.

Downstairs Kalsanwali comes and shows what she found in Runjhun and Guddu's room. She finds the calendar on which Runjhun was keeping track of the days. The others don't know what it is and make fun of her for stealing a calendar. Kalsanwali gets upset but Rajju tells her to explain and ignore the others. Kalsanwali says they have five days left within which they have to make sure that Runjhun doesn't win the bet.

In the room, Guddu tries to tell Runjhun not to make too much noise and he tells her to calm down. She keeps on laughing and they both fall on the bed. Guddu lies on the side, as Runjhun tells him she's not talking to him. She asksk him why he stopped her from dancing. She says she never stopped him from doing things he likes, so why he stopped her from dancing. She tells him that she felt like free bird when she was dancing today, and tells him she isn't talking to him because he didn't let her dance. Guddu smiles amused, then warms himself that he's falling for Runjhun and he has to be careful.

Runjhun mutters and falls asleep and Guddu tells her to be quiet otherwise if her aunts hear her they will be in trouble. He shakes her lightly but she doesn't move. He looks at her and remembers the events of the day, Runjhun riding the rickshaw, Runjhun tickling him, Runjhun dancing. He smiles at the memory then looks at the sleeping Runjhun.

He hesitantly reaches out to touch her hands, and place his hand with hers. He looks at her then leans over her and kisses her forehead.

Downstairs Kalsanwali think of returning the calendar before Guddu and Runjhun come back, but when they reach upstairs they notice that Guddu and Runjhun are already back, and Guddu is staring lovingly at Runjhun. They are both upset. Guddu leans over and kisses one cheek of Runjhun then places another kiss on Runjhun's other cheeks.

Mittho tells Kalsanwali that Runjhun will win the bet, like this. She says that her husband has never loved her like this. Kalsanwali is surprised and Mittho sadly confirms it. Kalsanwali says that maybe they should poison Guddu that way he will die and leave Runjhun to them. Mittho tells her to cancel her poison scheme and says she has a plan.

Guddu tells Runjhun that this thirty day bet feels like his most foolish commitment. He says he can't help falling for all of this. He says but he has no qualms even if he loses. He says that he is feeling very happy. He says that it is very important to know whether he's the only one who is happy or is Runjhun's heart also dancing with the same happiness.

Mittho sneaks in the calendar, and is about to leave, but Kalsanwal stops her and says that this is better than Mughal-e-Azam, where when Dilip Kumar wanted to kiss the heroine, they put flower in front of his face, and never showed the kiss. Mittho drags her away. Their noise distracts Guddu and he walks over to the window, and sees that no one is there but notices the calendar on the floor. He looks at the calendar and opens it up and notices that they days are marked up. (I think she stopped counting because I have a feeling that it's less than five days)

He angrily says that he was the only one falling and Runjhun is only counting the days to his change. He remembers her words and says that he won't let her win then, and leaves the room in anger, as Runjhun continues to sleep.

Next morning Mittho and Kalsanwali watch Billo cut the salaries of her rickshaw drivers just for little things, and finagle money out of them. Kalsanwali wonders if the calendar had its effect or not. Billo comes in and they discuss what happened last night. Kalsanwali is still upset that they didn't get to see what happened. Mittho tells her that if they'd stayed, Guddu getting angry or not getting angry would be the least of their problems. Billo says she doesn't feel like Guddu will win, even if he wants to win then he will pretend to lose because he's falling for Runjhun. Mittho says that eventually Guddu has to be the loser, regardless of what he plays, or how he plays the game.

Runjhun gets up and notices that it is 11 and she is still sleeping. As she rises from the bed, she grumbles about the headache in her head, and closes her eyes from the sun. She turns away and notices her reflection in the mirror. She straightens her sari quickly and notices her hair is loose. She notices broken glass bangles on the bed and the bed looks disheveled. As she remember the events from last night slowly one by one, she is shocked thinking about the possibility of what might have happened.

Precap: Runjhun asks Guddu if anything happened last night. She says all she remembers is Guddu was very close to her. She is walking behind Guddu and grabs his arm. He pushes her hand away, and tells her it is all a game to her. He says he's not going to fall for her games and whatever she is playing at. He asks her what she thinks he is. Runjhun is more concerned with what happened and asks him if that means nothing happened between them during the night.

Bhaagon Waali 3rd May 2011 Written Update

Amma asks Guddu to accompany her to take blessings from Hanuman so that everything will go well. Guddu says she is right but he doesn't believe in all that, and tells her she is welcome to go but he doesn't want to. He walks away, and Amma looks upset. Runjhun goes to Guddu and requests to come. She tells him that coming won't hurt him and it is Amma's well wish for him. Guddu tells Runjhun not to force him. He said they can go, but he doesn't want to come.

Runjhun walks back to Amma and tells her that they will go, and not to worry about Guddu, he's like that only. Vishnu asks for more samosa, and Mahadevi meets Jabbo in the back. She asks if he has a special reason for inviting her and he says nothing is more special than her to him. He tells her that whenever he sees her his heart starts beating fast. He gifts her a SIM card and tells her this way they can talk every night, and his heart can be at ease.

Amma and Runjhun are praying, and Guddu watches from far as Runjhun prays. Kukkan interrupts his thoughts and gives Guddu the gift that was meant for Runjhun, a new cellphone. Guddu tells Kukkan to keep it safe. He will give it to her later. Kukkan takes the gift and is about to walk away but stops when a few other thugs drive in.

The leader of the group tells Guddu that he hears that nowadays Guddu is walking around giving gifts to the ladies. He asks Guddu if he's changing. He says that for Guddu his usual antics suit him not this of a responsible man. The other men tell him that females take the strength out of men. They also asks him why he's bent on breaking his image. The leader says that another name for ill-earned money is Guddu Shukla. Kukkan looks on angrily, and Guddu doesn't say anything.

Another one adds that Guddu is more well suited to beating up people and robbing, and not this. The men laugh. Guddu asks the leader if he has anything to say because he's got nothing to say and he starts beating up the guy. All of Guddu's men attack the other's men, and the mamas and mamis clear out of the area, to the safety of their house compound. Amma turns on hearing the commotion and Runjhun also looks shocked as Guddu continues to beat up the man. The other men pull out the decoration of the shop and the fighting continues. Guddu finally is about to break the chair on the leader when the rest of his men stop him. Guddu drops the chair and the men run away.

Runjhun and Amma look on. The nearby people say that who would buy anything from a hot headed thug like Guddu Shukla. The mamis add more fire by saying that if anyone came with a complaint to the shop they would change the structure of their face in their anger. Kalsanwali says that the only clients Guddu would have is people like her father, and people like those do not stay in Kannauj (Kalsan seems like a scary scary place) They all leave and go back in. Guddu doesn't say anything. Runjhun tells Amma to go inside. Guddu looks at Runjhun then looks away, as Amma walks back into the house, disappointed by Guddu's actions.

Runjhun thinks that she thought that Guddu was changing but he's back to fighting and beating up people. She asks God for help, in helping Guddu realize the error of his ways.

The mamas and mamis gather inside and Vishnu laughs. He says that they were hell bent on taking Guddu down, but Guddu did all of that on his own. Guddu has an enemy bigger than them, and that is his anger. Kalsanwali says that Guddu isn't getting angry for the first time. Billo says that Guddu changes moods constantly. She says he's like both sides of the coin. Vishnu says that Guddu's anger will act against him this time. He says that Guddu won't get any business due to his actions. Rajju says but Runjhun's fortune is there for Guddu, and Mittho agrees that they have to consider that too. Vishnu says that they will know for sure by the evening, whther Runjhun's fortune works for Guddu or his anger works against him.

Mahadevi walks in and sees the mamas and mamis and hides the SIM card. Mittho asks Devi where she's been all this while. Devi says she was here only, and walks away. Mittho is confused and tries to figure out what is she missing.

On the other hand Jabbo walks in and sees the tables and chairs being wrapped up and asks Kukkan what happened. He asks Kukkan if he missed the program. Kukkan tells him that there was a big fight. He says that some of the men came and during the fight caused the mess. Kukkan asks who it was and says they will go and take care of them. Kukkan tells him not to worry and then asks him where he's been. Jabbo tells Kukkan if he's keeping tabs on him, and Kukkan says it must be because of a girl because Jabbo is smiling like a shy newly wed. He asks Jabbo which girl but Jabbo tells him to wait as all will be revealed soon. Kukkan says they should get back to work and clear all of this.

Runjhun looks as everything is collected and taken away. Guddu looks at Runjhun then looks away, he tells her that it wasn't his fault. He didn't want to fight. Runjhun looks away. Guddu tells her he's talking to her, why is she looking away. He tells her to say whatever she wants to. Guddu says if she doesn't want to talk to him then he's leaving. Guddu is tries to walk away and Runjhun says that he shouldn't have done what he did. She tells him that Amma was happy today. Guddu tells Runjhun that she is only worried about her Amma's happiness and she doesn't care about whether he's happy or not. Kukkan and Jabbo watch the exchange of words between Runjhun and Guddu. Runjhun says it's not like that. Guddu tells Runjhun that he's not a machine that can make Amma happy. He's human. He says that he's always doen what he's wanted and he's not going to change for her Amma if he didn't change for his own father.

Runjhun tells him that she doesn't want him to change who he is but just control his anger. She says that the people he beat up today didn't suffer any loss, he did. She tells him that he earned nothing by beating those people up. She points out that no one will come to the shop because of the actions and all his hard work has been put to waste. Guddu says he doesn't care who comes who doesn't come. He's not going to go around pleading people to come to his shop. He says she gave him a punishment, he set up shop, their deal is over. He says he's leaving and drives off. All his men look at him. (Rani here's the yelling he was talking about)

Runjhun is upset and thinks to herself, why every time Guddu takes a step in the right direction then gets steered in the wrong. She say every time something good goes to happen, things take a bad turn.

Precap: Kukkan gives Runjhun the gift that Guddu wanted to give her. Runjhun smiles as she opens the gift box.

Bhaagon Waali 29th April 2011 Written Update

Opening scene: Part 1

Guddu is upset about the demands made by the IM chief that he needs to set up shop by noon next day and how can he achieve all that in such a short time. Runjhun volunteers that in order to fulfill dreams hard work is expected. Jabbo, Kakkan and Mahadevi offer to help. Mama and Mamis continue to make faces and complain about the work that is pending for Runjhun. Amma shoos them off and mentions that Runjhun's patnidharam comes first.

All gather at the C & C Club and start organizing the tasks involved, with Runjhun taking the lead. Work to convert the Club gets underway and so does Jabbo and Mahadevi's romance. As the supplies arrive, Guddu and Runjhun get their smiles back.

Part 2

Smiles , looks and clean-up work continues. Guddu appears in his asli swaroop (headband and tee shirt) and so do his buddies. Everyone rolls up their sleeves and gets down to work happily as the clock ticks away. Runjhun and Guddu keep an eye on each other and help each other out as work progresses.

Part 3

Work continues through the night and morning arrives. Runjhun gets on the ladder to help with erasing some of the signs and loses balance and Guddu is working right underneath and catches her. He lets go of her after a short pause, looks slightly annoyed at her at why she has to do this task. Everyone stops to look at them. He asks her to let go of the task and do something else. An hour is left and painting work according to specification of IM is underway. A color is missing and Guddu yells at Kukkan who says he could not find the color. Runjhun comes to the rescue that they dye saris as a business and she is sure some color is left and she can make arrangements. Guddu asks her to hurry.

Painting continues and Guddu accidently gets paint on Runjhun. She turns around and puts paint on his arm - this happens a couple of times and there are looks and smiles again. Mahadevi and Jabbo smile and looks continue too as they paint.

Part 4

Kalsanwali and Vishnu Mama start on their drama. Kalsanwali tells him that she has put Mahadevi to spy on Guddu. Vishnu says that Mahadevi is Maha murkh (unintelligent) and he has something in mind to make Guddu fail in his attempt.

Mittho calls Mahadevi back. She does not want to return but Runjhun asks her to. She goes reluctantly. Guddu and Runjhun have an exchange over why she is so forgiving. She replies you need a big dil (heart). Guddu replies does that mean he does not have a big dil? She says that he gets angry at little things but he has to think what good one can do instead of looking at the negative things. He asks her to open an ashram and sit there to do good. His name will get out there and Kannauj will get on the map. She tells him to finish IM work and then think of other things. His anger dies and they smile.

Mittho is ranting at Mahadevi for associating with Guddu and Vishnu says you are the one to send her to spy on him. All evils gather. Kalsanwali's secret is revealed. Rajju is upset with Mittho for sending Mahadevi to do such dirty work. Mittho realizes it is Kalsanwali and cat fight ensues. Vishnu says to stop the differences and unite and that the only way IM will agree is if they see what they have asked to see. He shows his plan (a doctored air freshner) to turn Guddu's mehnat (hard work) to ashes. All 6 evils are happy.

Precap: Mahadevi goes to the shop and tells Guddu that to eliminate the paint smell she is plugging in the air reshner and he asks her to go ahead. All 6 evils look at this with grins on their faces.
This is my first attempt ever. Please forgive language, typos, etc. Hope you get the gist of the episode.

Bhaagon Waali 28th April 2011 Written Update

Billo's Plan is Revealed & Vishnu's suit is found.

She sends Buntu to Guddu purposefully to get Guddu Drunk (this is why Kalsanwali thinks that Billo's plan is working) Billo and Mittho and Rajju are waking Buntu up and yelling at him for failing in the plan and getting drunk himself. Buntu tries to get angry at Billo remembering Guddu's word and she gets scared and slaps him. He gets sober, and Billo says that he's useless. She says that Vishnu and Rajju do things and people don't even come to know. Rajju looks at Billo wondering if she means that as a compliment or not. Kalsanwali comes and says she saw a mark on Runjhun's cheek. Billo wonders if it's a love mark, and Kalsanwali says that it's a slap mark. They are all happy since that would mean Guddu isn't going to the interview. Mittho says she's worried.

They hear a loud sound and Guddu and Kukkan with Jabbo and rest of the men are at the doorstep while Amma and Runjhun are doing aarti. Guddu asks Amma what is the need of all of this and Amma says it is to remove the evil eyes of ill-wishers. Guddu says he doesn't need it because if anyone sends him the evil eye he will beat them up. All his men laught and Amma tells all of them to be quiet. She tells Guddu that he shouldn't talk like that and give Runjhun the aarti to complete. The mamas and mamis are shocked to see all this, and unhappy too. Mahadevi looks on jealous, while Guddu & Runjhun smile at each other.

Guddu tells Amma that he has something to say. He says Runjhun is the shadow of Amma. Amma rolls her eyes. Guddu says she looks and does just like Amma. The mamas and mamis are upset and argue that Kalsanwali informed them wrong. Vishnu calls Kalsanwali for the suit again, but she tells him that there are bigger things at play and drags him to see what's going on. He sees Guddu and says it looks familiar. Kalsanawali says he's Guddu of course he's familiar, Vishnu says not Guddu but the suit. Billo wonders why Buntu keeps staring at her with anger, and Buntu says that from today onwards that is exactly how he's going to look at her.

Guddu tells Runjhun how much aarti she's going to do, and he's going to become late. Amma tells Runjhun if she wants she can go with him. Runjhun tells Amma what will she do there, and Amma thinks that if Runjhun would go Guddu's fortune will shine. Runjhun adds that she has full faith in Guddu's abilites. Guddu smiles at Runjhun and she smiles back in assurance.

Mahadevi is jealous by all this interaction and grabs Jabbo's arm in anger. Jabbo looks at her, and Mahadevi realizes what she's done and pulls her hand back. He smiles at her thinking that he has full indication of love now.

Vishnu is studying Guddu's suit intently. Guddu is on his bike, and Kukkan breaks a cocunut for good luck in front of Guddu. Guddu is about to leave and Vishnu grabs the back of his bike trying to stall him. He asks Guddu why he's wearing his suit and asks him to take it off. Kukkan and Jabbo strong hold Vishnu and hold him back as Guddu leaves. Vishnu says that Guddu can wear his suit and go but he's not going to pass the interview. Runjhun on the other hand prays that Guddu will pass the interview, and that all will be well.

Guddu is sitting in the company with the head, and he talks in English and Guddu responds in Hindi which indicates that he understands English but can't seem to speak it well. The head asks the first question that after being insulted by Guddu why will he give Guddu the franchise. Guddu begins to speak in English when he remembers Runjhun's words that as long as he gets his message across honestly he doesn't have to impress in English.

Guddu says that if someone came to the India mobile Center and asked them to uproot their established business he would be upset too. He says that his men didn't come and explain him the benefits or the losses, they just came to him with an offer. They didn't take the time to make him understand. The man asks Guddu why he changed his mind. He says that his friends made him see the benefits and how it would help Kannauj. The man is impressed by Guddu's honesty and asks Guddu why he continues to speak in Hindi, and Guddu says it's their mother tongue and most all int he country speak it so why he shall he speak in English. He adds that he also doesn't speak English very well (just broken words here and there) and he won't be able to communicate properly, and if he says something and it means something else then the situation would be worse.

The man asks him how is he planning on doing the business then. Guddu says that in Kannauj the majority of the population speak Hindi, there are no foreigners staying in Kannauj. The man is impressed and says that Guddu is the best person for the job but he has some concerns. He shows Guddu some figures and charts (they don't explain what these are) and Guddu studies them and says that he won't be able to do that. The man says then they can't grant him the franchise.

Mahadevi is in her room and thinking about how Runjhun and Guddu are playing the game of romance and no one is worried about her. Her conscience steps out and says that why is she so jealous of that. Mahadevi says that's right she doesn't have to be jealous. Guddu isn't the only one who is handsome and stylish, and she will find her macho man, too. She's happy that she will find someone else and tells her conscience to leave as he might come anytime (so she's moved on from Guddu, I'm guessing and hoping) Jabbo wearing shades, is outside Mahadevi's window, and says that if the girl can have the courage to hold his hand in front of everybody then he too is a man and can proclaim his love for her. He scales the wall and climbs up to the window with flowers in his hands. He calls out to Mahadevi and says that her Macho Man is here. Mahadevi looks around and Jabbo tells her he's by the window. She looks at him and they stare at each other.

Jabbo tells her not to look at him like that or he will truly fall, he tells her he's kind of hanging in love (literally) Mahadevi is happy that her prayers have been answered. Jabbo tells her that he has two movie tickets for the corner seat for tomorrow and he will wait for her. While Mahadevi takes the flowers and dreamily sighs, Jabbo falls. Mahadevi looks worried and rushes to the window. Jabbo is lying on the floor, and in pain but he sends her a flying kiss, and Mahadevi smiles.

Kukkan walks by and asks Jabbo where he fell from. Jabbo lies and says he crashed into something. He tells Kukkan that sometimes in life a person has to fall. Kukkan helps him up and takes him away.

Runjhun is giving out prasad and Rajju comes and asks her why, and she says it's because she prayed fro Guddu today. Guddu comes in and says there's no reason. He says the interview went awful and the man is being stubborn. Runjhun asks him if he didn't try to explain to the man. Guddu says he did. Kukkan and Jabbo walk in too. The mamas and mamis are happy, and Amma looks worried. Guddu shows Runjhun the plans and says that the man wants him to have the template for a mobile center ready by tomorrow afternoon by 12, and says it is impossible to do. Runjhun says that he's already saying impossible without trying. Guddu tells her not to speak if she doesn't know anything, and says he has to paint the shop and completely remodel it, and there's a lot of construction work to be done, and he's been trying to find people all day but most painters are out or busy because of some Agra festival. He says it will be impossible but Runjhun says it's not important that they achieve that but if they don't try they won't know. She says she will help. She says if one dares to dream then one must dare to achieve the dream too.

She tells him that the man hasn't refused but has asked him to prove himself. She says that if it doesn't happen it won't but at least they tried instead of just giving up. She tells him she will help him. The mamas and mamis don't look too happy, but Guddu looks at her surprised.

Precap: Guddu and Runjhun are working along with the other men and Mahadevi's helping too, to convert the Carom and CD Center. (Explains Guddu's/Himmanshoo's new picture posted by Rani) Runjhun helps with the painting and climbs up a ladder in her sari. Guddu is working nearby and when she loses her balance he catches her. (For those tizy with touches)

Also regarding tomm's update...frankly I'll try to be on time...but depending on different variables in my life I can't say whether it will be on time or not. Please do not post requests for it. I will do it just let me figure it out. Thanks.

Bhaagon Waali 27th April 2011 Written Update

Guddu is on the terrace pacing. He asks himself why he's so uneasy and nervous. He feels like he's not going to an interview but a war. He 's faced more dangerous situations so why is he feeling nervous. He give himself a prep talk, telling that he needs to impress tomorrow, and win the challenge (He's talking about the Mobile Center Challenge). He spies someone else on the roof, who is drinking. He looks and sees that it is Buntu.

Meanwhile Vishnu is turning his own room upside down searching for something. HE keeps throwing Kalsanwali's saris on her face. She yells at him and he yells back, that why is nothing ever in it's proper place. He says he is looking for his suit for hours but can't find it. They get physical with each other, and Kalsanwali tells him to worry more about Guddu's interview tomorrow. Vishnu stops then smiles at Kalsanwali and they smile at each other and Vishnu informs that he knows the person doing the interview and he's a client of a friend. He says that the man breathes in English, and Guddu is for sure going to fail tomorrow.

Guddu asks Buntu what the matter is and why he's drinking. He says that now they are kind of related so he can tell him. Buntu starts wailing and says that he is heartbroken, and there is only one person capable of breaking his heart, his Billo Rani. He says he know why Billo doesn't like him. He says he's not as smart, and he's not fair like Billo and he's not handsome like Guddu.

Guddu asks him if he's complementing him or cursing him. Buntu says he's not cursing him. He asks Guddu to sit with him and pulls Guddu down to sit adjacent to him. He offers Guddu drink and says that Guddu can tell him how does one attract a woman and keep her in control (wrong person to ask Buntu). Guddu doesn't want to drink but Buntu gives him a glass which Guddu takes reluctantly. Guddu drinks a little and tells Buntu that he gets scared to easily. He tells Buntu to show some self respect and some self control, and instead of chasing Billo, let her do the chasing for once. He tells Buntu that he loves Billo but instead of proclaiming it all the time, he should hold back this time, and keep it wrapped in his heart.

Buntu finishes his last bottle while Guddu is still nursing his drink, and says that he will listen to Guddu Maharaj. He falls in Guddu's lap, causing Guddu to spit his drink out. Guddu tries to wake Buntu up, then pulls him off where they were sitting and gives him a shoulder to help him walk back to his room.

Later Guddu comes back to his room, and Runjhun is already sleeping. The room is dark, and without looking Guddu takes off his shoes and falls on the bed on the other side of Runjhun.

By the morning, Guddu is closer to Runjhun, and his arm draped around her waist. Runjhun gets up from her sleep and sees Guddu's face and is worried. She takes his hand off her waist quickly, and rises from the bed. She straightens her pallo and takes a deep breath. She looks at Guddu again, then breathes a sigh of relief. Then her eyes fall on the time and she notices that Guddu has an interview in an hour. She hesitantly touches him to rouse him. When he doesn't get up, she rises from the bed and goes to the other side, and ruffles his hair in order to wake him up. Guddu just turns but continues sleeping. Runjhun sees the water jug, and fills up a glass with water, then she takes it in her hand and splashes Guddu.

In his shock he raises his hand and since Runjhun is leaning in, she gets slapped by him. Guddu rouses from his sleep trying ot place his situation as Runjhun stares at Guddu still shocked from the slap and nursing her cheek. Guddu sees its Runjhun and asks he what she's doing. Runjhun doesn't say anything but walks away from Guddu, her hand still on her cheek.

Guddu stops her. He says she should have told him it was her. She says what does it matter. He says that Kukkan usually wakes him like that and he thought it was Kukkan. She says that his hand raises for no reason and she's sure that she's not the only one on the receiving end. He says that others are different and she is different. He adds that he doesn't raise hand on women, and Runjhun congratulates him that he's off to a good start. She tells him not to worry about that and tells him to get ready otherwise he will be late for the interview. She leaves and he watches her leave. He shakes his head, at himself, and asks himself how he could have raised his hand on her like that.

Guddu is in the bathroom, shaving, and thinks about what Runjhun told him in the room, about his hand that gets raised for any rhyme or reason.

Guddu finishes lathering up and is about shave, when he remember Runjhun putting water on him and he slapping her. He cuts himself at the memory. Runjhun is in the kitchen making breakfast, and Kalsanwali walks by. She sees the mark on Runjhun's cheeks and asks Runjhun what happened and who hit her. Runjhun avoids Kalsanwali and says that nothing happened. Kalsanwali tells Runjhun not to lie or she will put a similar mark on the other side to even it out. She says she knows what a slap mark looks like. Runjhun says that Guddu has no reason to slap her, and she walked into a wall. She walks away taking the breakfast. Kalsanwali says that she didn't even mention Guddu. She murmurs happily that Billo might be right. Vishnu calls Kalsanali breaking into her happy moment.

Guddu is getting ready in his suit, and Runjhun walks in as he's struggling with his tie. He has his back faced to Runjhun so he doesn't see her coming in. He says when he was little Dinanath used to tie the ties, but who will do it now. He wonders how to loop it. Runjhun sets the breakfast aside, and shakes her head. She pulls up a stool next to Guddu, and climbs on it to get to his height and places her hand on his shoulder. Guddu turns to look at her, and she looks at him, and offers to do his tie. Guddu sees Runjhun standing on the stool and smiles. He turns towards her, and she straightens the tie around his neck. She ties his tie, and Guddu tries to look away but then looks back at her. Runjhun slightly tilts her head and notices a cut on Guddu's cheek, and at the same time Guddu slightly tilts his head in the opposite direction and notices the hand mark on her cheek.

They both simultaneously tell each other to put medicine, on their respective wounds. Guddu smiles, then tells Runjhun that he's sorry for this morning. She woke him up and he without thinking raised his hand. He didn't mean to hit her, and tells her he made a mistake. Runjhun asks him why he's worried, because she didn't say anything, but Guddu still says sorry, and asks for forgiveness. Runjhun says that she will forgive him on one condition. Guddu says this is not fair, she's always placing conditions on him. Runjhun says it is fine. Guddu relents and tells her to tell him what her condition is. She tells him to give the interview nicely and and to control his anger. Guddu says that if someone says something to him that makes him angry then what is he supposed to do. Runjhun shakes her head, and Guddu relents again saying he will agree. He says but he has one condition too. He says she has to teach him how to tie the tie. He says he was here for so long trying to figure this thing out, she has to teach him. She smiles and agrees.

He seems a little uncomfortable then rambles on that he's not liking the clothes, because it's so tight on the top and loose on the bottom. He says he like his clothes much better and this is just a one time deal. Runjhun get's off the stool and goes to grab his jacket, and says that is fine. No one is telling him to dress up like that all the time. She holds his jacket so he can slip his arms into it, then straightens it for him. She goes back to the front and gets on the stool to straighten his tie and jacket. She hesitates and asks him if she can tell him something. He asks her what, and she says that he looks very nice in the clothes (She is right, Himmanshoo carries a suit very well and the picture didn't do him any justice. The pink shirt and pink tie actually go very well together.) He is surprised, and Runjhun straightens his tie, then step down again. She tells him to eat his breakfast.

Guddu watches her leave then looks at himself in the mirror, happy at Runjhun's words that echoes in his mind as he looks at himself.

Precap: Runjhun is giving prasad to everyone, when Guddu comes and stops her. He has jacket on one shoulder and dumps it before sitting and tells her there is no reason to give prasad. He tells them the interview didn't go well at all. Everything went wrong. Runjhun and Amma look upset while the others smile (He might be pulling her leg...or not but I'm not worried)

Bhaagon Waali 22nd April 2011 Written Update

Guddu tells Runjhun to eat the vegetable and see for herself. Kukkan and Jabbo try to stop him but he insists for Runjhun to eat the vegetables. Runjhun takes a bite and realizes that there is chilli in the food. Guddu says that now she can tell how uneatable the food is. Runjhun says if he thinks that she did it on purpose than she will accept the punishment for it. She eats the bhaji as Guddu, Kukkan and Jabbo watch. The mamis are happy at the new development, even though they are shocked Runjhun is eating the vegetables. Runjhun eats the vegetables even though it burns her mouth and her eyes tear up. She continues eating as the mamis watch. She takes the other vegetables and eats too, and Guddu stops her. She refuses to stop. The mamis are disappointed when Guddu stops Runjhun.

Mittho tells Kalsanwali that she thinks that Runjhun probably figured out that Kalsanwali was the one who tampered with the food. Kalsanawali says she's not worried about it, because Runjhun won't tell Guddu or Amma about it. Guddu takes the bowl from Runjhun's hand and throws it, angry that she won't listen. Kukkan offers her water and Guddu again gets angry and scolds her to take the water. Runjhun drinks the water in one gulp.

In the night Runjhun is in pain as she twists and turns since her stomach is hurting from eating all the chilli. Guddu turns around and sees Runjhun. Runjhun clutches her stomach and is gasping in pain, almost crying. Guddu gets up and walks down from the room. He walks to Amma's room and hesitates and then knocks on her door. Amma wakes up and asks Guddu what's wrong. Guddu says nothing is wrong he had a question for her. Amma thinks about the kheer and asks Guddu if he liked the kheer Runjhun made for him. She tells Guddu that she spend a lot of time and love on it (Guilty yet, Mr. Guddu?) Guddu lies and says that the kheer was very delicious. He asks Amma that is there a home made remedy for someone who has stomach ache from eating too much spicy food. Amma asks if Guddu is having stomach pains.

Guddu says its not him. He's about to say that it is Runjhun but doesn't want to worry Amma so he tells her that his friend Jabbo called him and needed the remedy. Amma tells him to ask Runjhun, which Guddu can not do so he lies and tells Amma that Runjhun is sleeping and he didn't want to disturb her. Amma tells him to tell Jabbo to take water and boil it with carom seeds, then seive the seeds out and drink the water. Guddu nods.

He goes to the kitchen and stares at the stove. He tells himself that he's never been in a kitchen before and its so troublesome. He tells himself to get to work and looks for a pot first in the kitchen. He finds one he thinks is the right size. He then puts the pot ont he stove then thinks to himself that he should have put the water in it first. he looks for a tap. He fills it with water then brings it back to the kitchen. He looks for the carom seeds and searches each bottle till he finds it. He puts in the water then after boiling it with the water sieves it out and puts the water in a glass. The hot pot he puts it back and it clutters and makes a sound.

Vishnu and Kaslanwali's room is next to the kitchen and Vishnu kicks Kalsanwali to go and get up and check where the noise is coming from. They battle back and forth first with legs then with their hands getting each other to get up and go check. Vishnu tells Kalsanwali if she's just going to lay there, and Kalsanwali says she's just going to sleep here and enjoy her planning to bring Guddu and Runjhun apart. Guddu hears the conversation.

Kalsanwali tells Vishnu that she put salt in Runjhun's kheer and chilli in the vegetables and now all she's waiting for is Guddu's mahabarat to start tomorrow. Vishnu is wide awake now as he listens. Guddu also listens and is angry now. He tells himself that Kalsanwali was responsible for the food being tampered with and he simply scolded Runjhun. He calls himself a fool and berates himself for the way he treated Runjhun.

He takes the tonic to the room, where Runjhun is still in pain, clutching her stomach. He sits on the bed and offers Runjhun the tonic. Runjhun asks him what it is. Guddu says that since her stomach was paining he brought her a tonic to drink. Runjhun asks him who made it and he says that he's the only one who would go through the trouble to make it for her, and says he made it for her. He tells her to drink it. Runjhun looks at the glass then remembers how he scolded her. She turns away from him and says she's not going to drink it, and she doesn't like tonics. Guddu tells her to drink it. He tells her he is asking nicely otherwise he will force her, and she won't like it. Runjhun says that it's always his way of doing things. First he tells her to eat the food with the chilli and now he's telling her to drink the tonic. She tells him she's not drinking it. Guddu calls her stubborn and tells her to get up. He takes her hand and pulls her up and tells her to sit on the bed. Runjhun sits on the bed. Next he takes her hand and puts the glass of tonic in her hands, and tells her to drink it. Runjhun makes a face an holds on to her glass. Guddu holds her hand and directs the glass towards her mouth so she will drink it. Guddu lets go once Runjhun starts drinking it. Guddu watches her and Runjhun watches him as she drinks the tonic.

After she is done, he lies down on the ground and tells her it will be difficult for her to sleep on the floor and he can sleep on the ground. He tells her if she protests. He will throw her on the bed. Runjhun says she won't sleep on the bed. She tells him that one day he tells her to sleep on the floor, next day he tells her to sleep on the bed. He keeps changing her positions everyday. She asks him to pick one spot and she will sleep there. She asks him if she has no importance. Guddu says that she is very important in his eyes, and from today onwards he will sleep on the floor. He tells her she can sleep on the bed. He lies back down and gets comfortable, and turns around. (Technically he's sleeping on Runjhun's pillow). Runjhun just looks at him as he makes himself comfortable.

Next morning Mahadevi spots Guddu leaving the house early and decides to follow him. She takes a basket of flowers so that he won't suspect anything. In her distraction to follow Guddu, she crashes into Jabbo, and falls, but Jabbo catches her (aah the cliched couple - Mahadevi's wish to be caught came true). Jabbo stares at Mahadevi as the flowers fall over her. Mahadevi's eyes are closed. She opens her eyes and walks out of Jabbo's arms, but he's too lost that he doesn't even notice that she's walked out. Mahadevi apologizes breaking Jabbo out of his trance, and he tells her it is fine. He gets on his knees and helps her collect the flowers all the while staring at Mahadevi and Mahadevi smiles back.

Precap: Guddu force feeds Kalsanwali and Vishnu spicy samosas. Runjhun offers Kalsanwali water, and Guddu slaps the water away. He asks Runjhun if she is mad because Kalsanwali was the one who mixed the spices in the food, and she should be punished. Runjhun tells Guddu that he was at fault too, and asks him whether he will be able to punish himself too.

Bhaagon Waali 21st April 2011 Written Update

Runjhun takes water the bathroom for Guddu's bath. She puts her hand in the bucket to gauge the temperature. Since it's too hot, she turns on the cold water tap. Guddu comes and watches her. Kalsanwali watches them both. Guddu and Runjhun look at each other, and Runjhun is distracted from the water filling the bucket. Kalsanwali comments to herself that more that the tap water something else is flowing between the two. The bucket overflows and the water touches Runjhun's feet bringing her attention back to the bucket of water. She closes the tap and looks apologetic. Since the water is colder now, she grabs the bucket but Guddu stops her. He tells her that he needs the water to take bath. He tells her that weighted words from her mouth suit her, but carrying weight around like that isn't good for her. He says he can do the heavy lifting himself. He adds that if she gets injured or sprains her back then who will do all his work.

Runjhun tries to leave as Guddu tries to enter, and both come in each others way. They try moving but both move at the same time again. After the third try, Guddu sighs and stands aside as Runjhun tries to sneak out. He stops her and asks her if she found out who was responsible. Runjhun doesn't know what he's talking about so he explain that the culprit responsible for her saris ruination. Runjhun says she knows and asks him why he's inquiring. Guddu tells her to tell him as well, because then he can catch the culprit too. He says he won't leave the person. Runjhun reigns in her smile then looks at Guddu and says that it was her only. Guddu looks confused, then laughs and asks her if she's joking. Runjhun says that he never listens to her, and she had no other way of getting him to listen, so she lied. She apologizes to him for lying. Guddu doesn't say anything but isn't mad. Runjhun squeezes away and leaves. Guddu smiles to himself and closes the bathroom door.

Kalsanwali doesn't share their amusement. She says Mittho was gloating that she drove a wedge between the two and here Guddu and Runjhun are looking as if nothing happened. They look like they're in love. Her world is turned upside down as she goes to her room. In her distraction she sits on a toy and it scares her. She attacks it in frustration then throws it away. She thinks about the situation and devises a plan to get Mahadevi on Guddu Watch. When she sees Mahadevi passing she calls her in and tells her that she wants Mahadevi to watch Guddu. Mahadevi is excited and hugs Kalsanwali and twirls her making Kalsanwali dizzy and tells Kalsanwali that she is the best aunt (Hurricane Mahadevi on Guddu Watch)

Guddu goes to his club and Kukkan says that there were two men waiting for him, and he's been trying his phone for so long that the numbers of the phone are falling off. Guddu searches for his phone and realizes he left it home. Kukkan asks if he should get it, but Guddu tells him not to worry. He looks backwards towards the Pandey Nivaas then heads to his chair and takes a seat. He asks Kukkan what's the matter.

Mahadevi is watching Guddu from the window. Kukkan informs Guddu that they have a business deal from a cell phone/mobile company that want to invest in opening a cell center. The men come and talk to Guddu and hand him a business card, but Guddu isn't interested. The men tell him that since his club attracts a lot of youth, they want to open a cell center in place of his carrom club and they will pay Guddu rent and he will get a share on their profits. Guddu isn't impressed and sends them away. He says that he's not for sale and tells them to leave.

Runjhun comes just as the men are leaving, and as she step into the club the men hesitate and one of them goes back to Guddu with his card and tells him to think over it. Guddu tells Kukkan to take the card. The men leave, and Runjhun still at the door asks Kukkan who the men were. Kukkan explains the deal to Runjhun who thinks it's a great idea, and shares with Guddu. (Runjhun wakes him up early so he sleeps at the Carom Club now) She tells him that he should accept the proposal. Guddu tells her that he's not a doll in her hands that if she says yes, he will say yes, and if she say no he'll say no. He tells her not to worry and tells her to go do her own work. He tells her he is hungry and asks what the others want and dictates a menu to her. When she doesn't leave, he asks her what she wants and she hands him his phone which he takes.

Jabbo spots Mahadevi spying on Guddu and misunderstands that she is there watching him and has fallen in love with him. He says he's struck lottery and he needs to be more kind and emotional like Guddu now. That way he can also stay at the Pandey House, and his life will be set.

Runjhun is making food for Guddu and his friends. Amma comes and inquires since the fragrance of the food carried to her room. Runjhun tells her what she's making for Guddu, and Amma smiles at her. Runjhun tells Amma about the deal that Guddu got and says that Guddu's luck is very good. Amma says she knows that's it's not Guddu's luck but rather Runjhun's fortune. Runjhun asks for recipe to make kheer and Amma tells Runjhun. Amma says that she has to leave, and Runjhun nods.

Kalsanwali hears about the deal from Mahadevi and also about the food that Runjhun ius cooking for Guddu and his friends. Runjhun removes the vegetables and puts a new pot for the rice pudding and starts cooking. Kalsanwali comes as the dish is cooked and send Runjhun away fro a while to look for Babli's shoes. She says she will keep watch and when Runjhun leaves, she puts salt in Runjhun's kheer and red chilli powder in the vegetables. Runjhun comes back and says that Babli was wearing her shoes. Kalsanwali says that's fine. She says she will help Runjhun but Runjhun says she is fine. Kalsanwali leaves.

Guddu comes with Kukkan and Jabbo and tells Kukkan to enjoy the meal as it is his favorite. Kukkan and Guddu notice that Jabbo is lost in his own thoughts and Guddu gives him a kick to bring him back to ground, and asks him where he is lost. He says to pay proper respect to the food an eat. Jabbo nods, still a little lost on the whole matter. Guddu asks Runjhun to bring the food quickly. Kalsanwali bring Mittho and Billo to watch the show since she spoiled the food. The three hunch down by the railing and watch.

Runjhun brings the plate and serves the food. Kukkan tells Guddu that he should accept the offer and Jabbo tells him not to listen to Kukkan. They discuss business and Guddu says that he will do what he feels is right. The food is served and they eat a little. All three notice that something isn't right with the food. Guddu throws his food and Runjhun asks him what happened.

Guddu says she's taking revenge from him for being rude to her at the club and not listening to her. The mamis watch happily. Guddu says that she put salt in the kheer and chilli powder in the vegetables. Runjhun shakes her head and says she didn't do anything like that. Guddu says if he's lying she should eat the vegetables for herself and hands the bowl to Runjhun, and tells her to eat.

Kukkan and Jabbo both speak up in defense of Runjhun saying it might have happened by mistake. Jabbo even tries to stop Runjhun from eating the vegetables but Guddu pushes him aside and Runjhun that she should eat her own food. Runjhun holds the bowl in her hand as Kukkan and Jabbo watch.

Precap: Runjhun says that if Guddu thinks she purposely sabotaged his food then she will take the punishment and eats the food, all of the vegetables even though she finds it spicy and tears up she continues eating as Guddu watches.

Bhaagon Waali 20th April 2011 Written Update

Runjhun comes to the room with hot tea and snacks for Guddu but notices that he's not in the room. She wonders where he went. She then notices the sari on the bed with the flowers. She wonders about it when Amma walks in and asks her what she's thinking. She says that Guddu bought the sari and flowers for her. Runjhun looks a little hesitant, and Amma tells her that Guddu is changing, and why shouldn't he, after all it is Runjhun's prayers and devotion that's changing him. She says the man they thought was a thug for so long has a heart too. Runjhun says she doesn't know. She feels scared sometimes that it will all be a show.

Amma tells her not to worry and tells Runjhun that a marriage is a union and takes both sides for it to work. She tells her that Guddu has very lovingly bought it for her, and would like for her to wear it. Amma pulls out the sari and says that it is very beautiful and Runjhun will look lovely in it. She drapes it over Runjhun and takes Runjhun to the mirror to show her. Amma tells Runjhun that Guddu is rough around the edges but he has great taste. Runjhun looks at the sari and smiles.

Guddu comes home slightly drunk. He remembers Mittho's words about taking Guddu out of the house and is angry at Runjhun for tricking him like that. He walks into the house angry.

Mittho and Billo are by the front entrance, and Billo asks Mittho if what they said will affect Guddu or not. Bill keeps asking but Mittho is contemplating, when Guddu walks in. They see him wihtt he alcohol and looking angry and are happy. Guddu walks up to his room. Mittho says that till now she's never played a weak game that today her plot would fail. She tells Billo to follow her so that they can watch what happens.

Guddu walks into the room, and Runjhun turns to face him happily. Guddu looks at her. Runjhun acknowledges his presence and smiles at him and asks him why did he bring the sari and flowers for her all of a sudden. Guddu walks in and Runjhun urges him to tell her why. He says that she did so much for his mother, she prayed for his mom, then she stood up for him, saying he's not a thug, and that he was a nice person. Since she was so nice to him, it was only fair that he did something in return for her. He says he bought all of it thank her, since it is his duty. Runjhun says that there was never a need to thank her as it was her responsibility and she maintained that.

Guddu laughs. He laughs then leans in angrily and says that she played an underhanded trick on him. Runjhun turns away as she smells the alcohol on Guddu's breath. She asks him whether he drank and came. Guddu says it was necessary to drink today, because today Guddu Shukla lost to Runjhun Shukla. He says that today she managed to trap him with her wiles. He says it is strange but she is the most quiet, but her mind is the most cunning of them all.

Runjhun is confused and voices her confusion and asks Guddu what has happened, why is he talking like that. Guddu reiterates her questions and says he's not saying anything wrong. He takes her hand and puts it on his head and asks that did she or didn't she promise Mittho to take him away from the house for Mahadevi's proposal. Runjhun is quiet.

Guddu lets her hand go. He says his mind must be reeling. He tells her that she and him don't share any relationship, then how can he demand his rights on her. He tells her to take her Amma's promise and tell him that she didn't promise Mittho. Runjhun says that he's taking all of this the wrong way. She had made plans to do the prayer in the morning only, and it was only by chance that Mahadevi's proposal was coming the same day. It wasn't her fault. She tells him he can verify it with Amma. Guddu says he doesn't want to ask anyone else. He is asking her whether or not she promised Mittho to take him away. Runjhun looks away and says yes that she promised Mittho.

Guddu looks away and says that was all that was left to hear. He says he doesn't care anymore what she does, and tells her to get away from his sight. He tells her she can sleep on the floor or get lost if she wants to he doesn't care, as long as she doesn't come anywhere near him or shows him her face. He tells her that tomorrow when she wakes up the old Guddu will be back, all the changes gone. He tells her that she challenged him that she will change him in 30 days but now she can wait thirty generations (I don't have a countdown clock for that) but he will never change. He goes to bed and lies down, and keeps on muttering that he doesn't care what she does. He tells her to go away from him. Runjhun stands there upset at the turn of events.

Mittho and Billo listening outside hear everything and now are privy to the fact that the reason Guddu is staying in the house is because of Runjhun's challenge. Both Billo and Mittho smile knowingly.

17 Days Left...

Kalsanwali gets filled in on the challenge and is shocked to hear that the Runjhun has the guts to challenge Guddu, the one that they all fear. Rajju calls them and says instead of wondering how Runjhun managed to do that, like scholars, they should be wondering what will happen if Runjhun wins the challenge. He says that he's warning them that if Runjhun manages to change Guddu then they will be in trouble. He says that in the passing days not only his but their fortune via Runjhun will also decrease. He says that they can't let Runjhun win. Billo says that he doesn't have to worry about that.

She says that for that they have Mittho who is well versed in the old english adage, "divide and conquer". Mittho smiles smugly. Rajju asks her what is that everyone knows but he doesn't know. Mittho says that she's sowed such a bitter seed of suspicion that even the neem plant won't grow (neem leaves are considered very bitter). She says Guddu was flying too high with Runjhun as a lovebird but now it won't happen.

Guddu is sleeping and Runjhun comes and wakes him up. He tells her to let him sleep a little while longer. She tells him how long is he going to sleep. She tells him to get up. He says the people in this house don't ever let him sleep properly. He gets up and says that she troubles him a lot. He says today he knows that she is shameless also. He says she should get a reward for her irreverence. Runjhun looks at Guddu not impressed, and he tells her not to stare at him. He tells her that he's right, that she is shameless. He unveiled her trick yesterday and today she's back trying to prove herself as a righteous woman. He tells her he's not a fool, and tells her to leave.

Runjhun says she isn't here to prove herself. She says the only people who need to prove themselves whose truth should be doubted. She just wanted to tell him that whatever he said yesterday was wrong. She never thought he would say anything like that to her. She says if she'd done something wrong then it was fine but when she didn't do anything wrong...Guddu interrupts her and tells her that he wasn't the one in the wrong she was. He tells her to stop her act. She says to let it go. She says that he was angry with her, he should have removed his anger on her and not her saris.

She says her saris didn't do anything wrong to him that he put color on them and ink on all of them and spoiled all of them. Now she has to make arrangements to get saris. She turns away and Guddu stops her. he asks her if she is drunk (that's twice in a row) He says that he didn't do anything underhanded like that. He tells her that if he had to attack it would be frontal not a stab in the back, like her. He says that he doesn't do things like that. Runjhun says did a ghost come and spoil her saris then. Guddu tells her to ask the ghost about it and not him. He tells her to leave but then stops her again and tells her to think before blaming someone. He tells her to weight the situation properly and consider all odds and angles before blaming someone.

She tells him he felt bad right. She says he didn't think any of this when he blamed her last night in his drunken stupor. She tells him that was it fair that he didn't give her a chance to explain herself when he was sober. Guddu says he's sober now, very sober. He rises and asks her whether she's came here to make him sober, and is turning all around and twisting her words, instead of getting to the point. She tells him that she wasn't at fault. She tells him that she was planning on going to the temple all along, the marriage proposal came up later. He asks her why he should believe her and there is no reason to trust her. She says he will have to trust her because even he knows that she would never take her Amma's false promise. She says that she swears on Amma that her intentions were clear on going to the temple. Guddu looks at her and relents. He says its fine. What happened, happened, there is no point in dragging it.

He lies back down and Runjhun looks at him and frowns. He asks her why she's still standing and she says that he will never admit his fault. Guddu says it was her fault and not his. He says he's not going to stay at the Pandey Nivaas. He's leaving. He gets up from the bed and walks away. Runjhun says it's good he's leaving that way she won't have to heat the water for his bath. Guddu says who said he won't take a bath before going. He tells her to quickly heat the water. Runjhun mutters about taking trouble on her head, and tells herself that she should have quiet. She mutters this under her breath but loud enough for Guddu to hear. He tells her to stop muttering and tells her to go heat his water. Runjhun frowns and leaves but looks back from the doorway and smiles at Guddu, before she walks away. Guddu smiles too. (or there is the hint of a smile -- the repartee continues)

Precap: Guddu is going for his shower, and Runjhun keeps coming in his way. Finally she moves aside and is about to leave but he stops her and asks her to tell him if she found out or not. Runjhun asks him what, and she says if she found out the culprit behind her saris. Runjhun says yes. Guddu tells her to tell him also, so that he can give the person a good thrashing too. Runjhun looks at him and says it was her. (Does that mean she wants Guddu to beat her up?)

If yesterday's started good and went sour...today's started sour and went truly well. He really didn't look very angry in the morning.

Bhaagon Waali 19th April 2011 Written Update

Guddu walks into the room and spies Runjhun making the bed. He gets distracted as he watches her from the back. Then mentally shakes himself and bangs the door to announce his presence. Runjhun drapes her pallo over her back and tucks it at her waist. She tells him to wait two minutes as she thought of straightening the bed. Guddu walks up behind her and next to her. He leans in and Runjhun momentarily stops making the bed. Guddu grabs the pillow from the bed and goes to cupboard and grabs the blanket.

Runjhun is surprised and wonders what Guddu is doing. He puts the blanket on the floor and dumps the pillow there and sleeps on the floor. He announces that he wants to sleep on the floor today, since he feels like it. He says if anyone has a problem with it they can sleep on the bed. He doesn't care. Runjhun smiles and Guddu looks at her and smiles. He then tells her she's enjoying herself too much. He tells her to stop standing there and smiling and go close the lights. He yells at her in good nature. Runjhun stops smiling and goes to close the lights.

Runjhun is working on dying some clothes when Mittho walks up behind her, and looks around for Guddu. She notices that Guddu is no where near so she asks Runjhun to do some work for her. Runjhun agrees. Billo comes in and tells Runjhun to wash the rickshaws too. Runjhun nods. Mittho is leaving with Billo but Runjhun stops her and apologizes to her for yesterday. She says that she didn't intend on them coming back early. Mittho isn't convinced even when Runjhun tells her that she tried to take delay Guddu. Mittho mentions the milk issue but Runjhun is clueless. Billo doesn't want Runjhun to reveal the truth so she sends Runjhun away, and then tells Mittho that the guilty will never confess to their crime.

She says instead she should show Runjhun her right place. Mittho says that she already has a plan in motion and all she has to do is not to wait for Guddu to come home.

Guddu goes shopping. He walks into the market area, trying to look absolutely cool. He goes into a shop that sells female products and stops in. The vendor sees Guddu and greets hims and offers him a seat and drinks. He tells Guddu that the payment was made already, and asks Guddu if something is wrong or he committed a mistake. Guddu says he was just in the area and thought of visiting. The vendor asks him again if Guddu isn't here for some other reason, and tells him that he gave the money to Kukkan.

Guddu pulls the vendor close and says he wanted to buy something. The vendor surprised announces it loudly, and the women in the store look at Guddu. He asks the vendor softly if he has any gift item. The vendor again asks Guddu loudly and Guddu grabs him and tells him to keep his voice low. The vendor tells him that he only sells female products which will be of no use to Guddu. Guddu hesitates and wonders how he will explain to the vendor. He says he wants it for a female only. (So Guddu has never shopped for a female before).

The vendor tells one of the associates to remove the latest gift items to show Guddu. Kukkan calls Guddu and asks him where he is as there are two men here to see him. Guddu lies and he's at home and is busy, and tells Kukkan to tell them to come back another day. Kukkan agrees.

Guddu looks at all the items and is confused as to what he can buy. He sees a box of red bangles and remembers the time when Runjhun was engaged to Abhigyaan, and he broke her bangles by throwing them at her feet. He stares at the bangle box. Kukkan and Jabbo on their rounds spot Guddu's bike outside the market place and go in and find Guddu shopping for female gift items. Guddu is surprised to see them. Jabbo comments that he thinks Guddu is taking care of his personal matter, and Guddu tells them not to create a ruckus at the market. He looks away in frustration and embarrassment as Kukkan and Jabbo look at all the things that Guddu is planning on purchase.

Guddu tells them to stop their nonsense as he has a purpose for buying these things. Kukkan questions him and he says that Runjhun prayed for his mom and for that took him to the temple also, and he just wanted to thank her. Kukkan and Jabbo exchange knowing glances. Jabbo interrupts Guddu and says he understood. He says that Guddu doesn't know what to buy and that's why he's buying the whole store. Guddu tells Jabbo if he knows better than he can suggest something. Jabbo says he does have a little more knowledge than Guddu and asks Guddu how does he like Runjhun Bhabhi. Guddu is confused and so Jabbo clarifies that what does he like most about how Bhabhi looks. Guddu thinks about it and sees Runjhun in the pink sari smiling. He smiles like a shy boy, and says that he like Runjhun in saris. Kukkan and Jabbo both excitedly exclaim that sari it is.

Runjhun is cleaning out the pots that are used for the perfume making. Guddu buys a sari for Runjhun from the sari shop, and heads back home. Runjhun is cleaning the rickshaws, and while Guddu is biking home, a smile on his face as he looks at the sari that he brought. He stops by a flower show and on a whim buys some jasmine for Runjhun's hair. Runjhun is washing the rickshaws when Guddu comes. He stops next to her and angrily asks her what she is doing. She says she is washing the rickshaws. He says he can see it, but why is she doing it. He asks if all the servants are dead in the house, and yells out for Rajju. Runjhun stops him and says that she is doing it out of her own will and no one asked her to do it. He frowns.

Runjhun asks if he needed something from her. Guddu says he doesn't need anything, then looks at the bag of sari and says he wants to talk to her. Runjhun tells him to say what he wants to say. Guddu says how can he say anything when all her attention is on cleaning rickshaws. She tells him to go inside and take a seat she will be there soon and bring tea and snacks for him too. He tells her fine and tells her to come soon. He goes in the house and slightly kicks one of the workers in the butt, and tells him he has no shame, he's letting a female work like that. He tells him he's not here for a wedding and tells him to take over from Runjhun. The man nods and goes to help Runjhun.

Amma is dictating work when Guddu runs into her and drops the bag and the sari and flowers fall out. Guddu hesitates as Amma looks at the sari and flowers and secretly smiles and then goes back to doing what she was doing pretending she didn't see anything. Guddu embarrassed quickly dumps the sari and the flowers back in the bag and heads towards his room. Billo though sees the gifts that Guddu bought and thinks that she has to tell Mittho before things go too far. She says she has to tell Mittho as soon as possible.

Guddu waits in the room, for Runjhun and removes the sari and flowers from the bag and places it on the bed. He throws the white bag and sets the flowers next to it then on top of the sari and says it looks best like this. He pushes the flower back into the leaves scolding it to go back into the leaves, then sits back on the bed, and says now all he has to do is wait for Runjhun.

Mittho and Billo discuss that Guddu has today brought a gift for Runjhun and tomorrow he will take her away. Mittho says she won't allow it and won't let their bird of fortune fly away so easily. She says she will make sure that this is the first and last gift Runjhun gets. She drags Billo towards Guddu's room and then she pretends to cry that her fate has been cursed that Mahadevi's marriage proposal broke. She reveals that Runjhun promised her that she would keep Guddu away from the house till the proposal had come and gone, and delay Guddu, which is why she'd lied about praying for Guddu's mom. Guddu is upset hearing all of this. He remembers Runjhun asking to go to Ganges River.

He rushes out and tells Mittho and Billo to stop their drama and tells her that he knows that his wife didn't lie to him. Mittho says her face is such that even when she tells the truth it looks like she is lying. She tells him to ask Runjhun himself what the truth is and leaves. Guddu looks upset as Mittho and Kalsanwali walk away. He goes back into the room and thinks that how could Runjhun Shukla try to trick him like that, and how could he have fallen for it.

Precap: Runjhun is wearing the pink sari and the flowers that Guddu bought. He tells her she tricked him and used her wiles to lure him. He says she's the quietest but she's the most cunning. Runjhun asks him why he's talking about such things. Guddu grabs Runjhun's hand and places it on his head and tells her to promise him and tell him that she had no intentions of keeping him out of the house when Mahadevi's proposal came. Runjhun looks at Guddu.

Mittho just undid all of Runjhun's good deeds in one go, and now Guddu won't trust anything Runjhun says. I guess we were getting a little too complacent and this was bound to happen.

Bhaagon Waali 18th April 2011 Written Update

The family are ready to leave and say that they will meet with Diamond some other day, in the meantime before leaving they can talk about the give and take. Mittho calls Rajju aside and says that they can discuss that later, as Guddu will come and spoil the whole matter. Rajju agrees and they tell the family that if they're in a hurry all that matter can be dealt with later. Mittho says that they can go ahead, but before she can complete her sentence, Runjhun and Guddu walk in. Guddu with blood on his clothes. The entire family is shocked.

The boy asks what Guddu is doing here, and his father asks him if he knows Guddu. The boys says that who in Kannauj doesn't know Guddu Shukla. He says because of Guddu he spent days in the hospital. Guddu gets angry and is about to grab the boy, but Runjhun grabs his arm. She shakes her head holding on to him to get him to calm down. The boy's father, Mr. Tiwari asks what a thug like him is doing in their house. Rajju tries to explain but Runjhun stops him (she's become so much stronger already) She says that to others that Guddu is the son-in-law of this house. She says that what they are saying is true he does do all that people say he does, but where on one hand he can beat someone up, he also has the ability to give risk his life and all for a stranger to help them. She says if helping someone and saving their life is thuggery then Guddu is a thug. She says that civil person with the strength is what good if he can't help others and just stand there and watch the show.

Mittho tells Runjhun that as soon as she got her lover she's talking for her lover. She says that a thug can't be made into god. Runjhun says she can say what she wants but she knows that she only thinks ill of Guddu. She says that if someone who takes an innocent kind who met with an accident, and runs all the way to the hospital, then threatens the doctors at the hospital till they treat him, is considered a thug then she will admit that Guddu is a thug, but to her foremost he's a nice person. Guddu is surprised by Runjhun's words and says nothing, absorbing all that she's said. The mamas and mamis seem unconvinced.

Amma comes forward and ask Runjhun how the blood got on Guddu's clothes. Runjhun says that they were at the temple, then narrates what happened. A kid met with an accident with a car. All the people at the temple were crowding around the kid but no one was helping him. Guddu comes and puts the crowd aside, and quickly rushes to the kids aide. He pulls the kid of the ground and carries him. He tells the crowd to move as they are no good but for standing there and watching. He takes the kid with him to the nearest hospital. Runjhun follows Guddu.

Guddu takes the kid and puts him on the bed, then tells the doctor that there is an emergency case. The doctor looks at the kid and says he can't deal with it as it is a police case. Guddu holds the doctor's neck and says that the police will come but for his dead body if he doesn't treat the kid. The doctor agrees. Runjhun watches, as Guddu threatens the doctor then offers money to the doctor for any expenses that might incur.

Runjhun tells Amma that the blood on his shirt came from the kid, when Guddu carried him to the hospital. She wraps her hand around Guddu's arms again, and tells him to come with her, so that he can change and freshen up. Guddu looks at Runjhun and follows her.

The family leaves and says that they can't create a relationship in a place that houses criminals. They leave even as Mittho and Rajju plead them to stay. Mahadevi is happy and waves good bye. Mittho tells Amma that Runjhun is taking all their revenge in one go. Rajju tells Amma that today Runjhun insulted his family. Amma is sad and doesn't say anything.

Runjhun gives water to Guddu so he can wash his hand, he looks at her and smiles. Runjhun asks him what the matter is. She asks him why he's staring at her. Guddu says he's not staring. He's looking at her. He's wondering where her fearlessness came from. Usually Runjhun doesn't speak a single word in front of her mamas and mamis but today she spoke against them. He says maybe his company is influencing her. Runjhun hands him the towel and changes the topic and says she will go get tea for him. Guddu stops her. He says he's used to fighting people, and defending others, but no one has ever fought for him or defended him till today. He said when she defended him, for the first time he felt really nice.

Runjhun says that he has married for the first time too. She is his wife and she will always be with him. She says that even if she can't share his happiness, she can claim rights to share his unhappiness. Guddu doesn't say anything, and Runjhun tells him she will get his tea.

Mittho is upset at Runjhun, and says that what Runjhun did today was wrong. Rajju says that what he was worried Guddu would do, Runjhun managed to do. He says that whatever happened today wasn't good. Billo and Kalsanwali say that Runjhun has also managed to find her tongue, otherwise she rarely spoke to them in this manner.

Vishnu says that they can get a better groom for Mahadevi a much better one, but asks about Diamond. Rajju says that Runjhun's fortune should work for Diamond. Billo and Kalsanwali look worried. Diamond comes with his face hanging and tells them that when he went to give the paper, he felt sleepy and went to sleep. He says the proctor got scared and thought he'd fainted and took him to the doctors. The doctor said that Diamond had taken some medicine, and he had to spend the whole time at the doctors sleeping. Rajju scolds Diamond but Vishnu tells him that it isn't Diamond's fault. He tells Diamond to go to his room.

Billo tries to frame Runjhun and says that it must be Runjhun's fault because Diamond must have drank the milk that was intended for Guddu. Kalsanwali nudges Billo but she says that it was Runjhun and Kalsanwali chimes in too. Mittho says that she will take revenge from Runjhun. Vishnu says that revenge isn't enough they have to figure out if Runjhun's fortune has stopped working for them and why if it has. Mittho mentions the suhaagraat. Kalsanwali and Billo say that the suhaagraat happened, and this could be the reason why Runjhun's fortune doesn't work for them. Rajju says that ever since the suhaagraat, Guddu and Runjhun's closeness has increased, and Runjhun's fortune has stopped working for them.

Vishnu says that the only way they can prevent worse things from happening is to separate Runjhun from Guddu, and they have to do it quickly.

Guddu is on the terrace working out and Mahadevi is ogling at him. Guddu thinks of Runjhun's words that he might be a thug but for her he is a nice person. Mahadevi's thoughts on the other hand aren't so nice. She says that she sees in films and movies that a hero and heroine meet for the first time and fall in love. She calls herself heroine and Guddu her hero. Guddu finishes his workout and sees Mahadevi, and looks amused. She walks towards him and pretends to fall to get Guddu to catch her but Guddu doesn't even bother so she falls. Guddu laughs and asks her what happened. She says she wanted to say something to him. She tells him that she wanted to thank him. Guddu says he didn't do anything. Mahadevi says that she didn't like the boy selected for her so she's happy the marriage proposal broke. Guddu says good for her. She asks Guddu to giver her his hand so she can get up. She closes her eyes, and when she opens it Guddu is nowhere to be seen. She frowns, upset.

Guddu walks into his room and sees Runjhun making the bed. He stares at her back, then looks away. He closes the door loudly behind his back to let Runjhun know he's in the room. Runjhun looks up and drapes her pallu around her back, and tells him two minutes. She tells him that she thought of straightening the bed. Guddu walks up behind Runjhun, and stands beside her and leans in. Runjhun looks at him. (Probably to mess up the bed again)

Precap: Billo tells Mittho that she has to make Runjhun answerable. Mittho says she's already set her plan in motion. Now all they have to do is wait for Guddu to get home.

Bhaagon Waali 15th April 2011 Written Update

Amma is dictating to the new workers how to best extract the scent from the flowers. Runjhun comes and tells Amma what she is doing. She tells her that she's just recovered and she back to doing all the hard work. She tells Amma not to worry and she will handle it. Amma tells Runjhun that sometimes she feels like Runjhun is her Amma, as Runjhun is always lecturing her (Guddu will agree with Amma). Runjhun gives Amma the plate for pooja so she can go to the temple.

Rajju comes down and asks Amma where she is going. Amma tells Rajju that there is only one place that one goes carrying the pooka ki thali. He asks her why she is going to go to the temple. Amma says she is going to go pray fro Diamond since it is an important day for him. Rajju is touched and embraces his mother and says that today Amma proved that a mother afterall is a mother.

He tells her to pray for Mahadevi too, as he was just talking to the boys family on the phone and they will be coming today to see her. Amma is happy and so is Runjhun and says she will pray for Mahadevi. Today is indeed a happy day. After Rajju leaves. Amma tells Runjhun that she will pray for a happy married life for her and Guddu as well. Runjhun remembers Guddu's word that nuptial night is a long way off, he doesn't even want to see her in the same room. Runjhun changes the topic and tells Amma that she was thinking of going to Mata's temple because of Guddu's mother's miracle. Amma thinks that Runjhun's fortune had to do a lot with it too, but she tells Runjhun she can go, and tells her to take Guddu with her, as it is very important after marriage for a husband and wife to take part in religious services together.

Inside the house Rajju calls everyone down, and Mittho comes down with Mahadevi and asks Rajju why he's so excited that he's bringing the whole house down. Runjhun walks in and says that it is because Mahadevi's proposal is coming today. Mittho asks Rajju if this is true and she is happy to hear this. Mahadevi doesn't look happy and says she doesn't want to get married. She says she's not ready for marriage. Rajju says that family didn't want to come today but he urged them that good things should be left to the late. Mittho isn't too happy. She says how will they make preparations in such a short time. Runjhun tells Mittho not to worry she will handle that.

Guddu comes and tells Runjhun not to partake in any such matter. He tells her to take care of his things first and tells her to remove clothes for him. He's going to go for his shower (He needs a wife for his clothes now, if he leaves I wonder if Kukkan or Jabbo will indulge Guddu). He heads for a shower.

Rajju is worried but then thinks of requesting Runjhun to take Guddu out of the house during hte proposal. He tells Runjhun what's on his mind. Runjhun thinks that if she can persuade Guddu to come with her then the matter will be solved. She wonders if he'll agree or not.

Guddu comes out of the shower, shakes his head to remove the water from his ear. He looks at the bed and only sees a white kurta on the bed. He calls Runjhun and asks her where his clothes are. He tells her that he can't roam around in a towel in the house (Mahadevi wouldn't mind unfortunately). Runjhun points to the kurta on the bed. Guddu says he's not wearing the white Kurta. He says even his father doesn't wear a white Kurta so why would he. He asks her where his shirt is. Runjhun says that they would go to the temple, that's why she removed the kurta. Guddu asks her if she's drunk. He tells her that he doesn't go to temples. He goes to the closet to take out his clothes. Runjhun says that when a person does something good for them they thank them. (Bee, she used Thank You in English)

She says that his mother becoming well was nothing short of a miracle. The least they can do is thank God. She says she knows he doesn't believe in such things and he doesn't have to come if he doesn't want to but she will go.

Guddu wears the white Kurta and goes to the temple. He stops at the foot of the stairs and tells Runjhun to go ahead. He came to the temple is the most for him, she can do the rest. The pandit sitting on the bottom with a couple looks at Runjhun and Guddu, and then tells Guddu that in this temple it is auspicious for the couples to do the services together. Runjhun tells him not to do it for their marriage, but for the mother for whom he's come this far. Guddu reluctantly agrees. They both stand at the foot of the stairs, and Runjhun tells him to take of his slippers. He does grudgingly. Then they both walk up the stairs.

Guddu walks behind her in the initial steps, as Runjhun keeps on looking back to make sure he's still walking. Guddu notices couples coming down from the other side of the stairs. All married couples walking happily beside one another. He slows down and Runjhun waits for him. He looks and Runjhun then takes the lead and walks in front of her. Runjhun smiles as he walks in front.

Back at the Pandey Nivaas, the family comes with the proposal and are greeted by the mamas and mamis. They sit down and Rajju calls for Mahadevi. Mittho goes to Mahadevi's room and asks her why she's not ready yet. Mahadevi asks Mittho why she chose a boy like this. He's not even her type. Mittho tells her not to worry, and she's not Madhubala or Meenakumari. She drapes the dupatta over Mahadevi's head and takes her down.

The prospective groom likes Mahadevi but she doesn't like him one bit (after all he stands no chance against Guddu) The family approves too. Amma tells Mahadevi to give sherbet to the boy. She tells them that nowadays the boy and girl decide for themselves. Parents can only direct them in the right direction.

At the temple, when they reach the top of the stairs both Guddu & Runjhun reach out to ring the bell. They look at each other, and both ring the bell together (more like Runjhun rings the bell with Guddu's hand on hers. Thanks for Usha for reminding me. Too much in my head) Guddu and Runjhun take the offering and stand in front of the idol. Runjhun holds her hands together and looks at Guddu who seems to be just standing there. He grudgingly presses his hand together. Runjhun closes her eyes. Guddu looks at her.

Then both and Runjhun sit by the havan (the fire) and the pandit tells them to add samaghri. Runjhun adds willingly but Guddu has to be told twice before he adds it. The pandit tells him to add ghee (oil) to the fire and then tells Runjhun to put her hand too with her husband's. Guddu and Runjhun look at each other. Runjhun places her hand under Guddu's wrist and they put the oil together in the fire.

At home the groom's family likes Mahadevi and so they says yes to the proposal. Rajju says yes too. The groom's family says that they will meet Diamond some other day but if they can clear the give and take. Mittho calls Rajju aside and tells him to clear the matter some other day because if Guddu comes then there might be a problem.

At the temple Runjhun and Guddu are walking down after all the rituals are completed. Runjhun worries that the family might have not left yet and she might have to delay Guddu. She pauses and Guddu asks her what the matter is. Runjhun says that she was thinking of going at the ganges riverside too to pay her respects. She asks if he wants to come. Guddu says sure. He says they can sit there and eat grilled corn, and talk about sweet nonsense. Then there is a film theater nearby too. He says he can take her to see a romantic film. He tells her not to climb on his head just because he agreed to do this for his mother.

He tells her he has work to take care of and tells her to stop indulging in her nautanki. They hear a crash and a girl screaming. Guddu and Runjhun look at each other before Guddu rushes off.
(Runjhun is about to get a glimpse into Guddu's heart) - but that's for next week.

Next Week: Rajju tells the family they can talk about the give and take later, as they are in a rush. He says that they can talk later. Guddu walks in with Runjhun, with blood on his white Kurta. He sees the family and the they all see him and are shocked.

Bhaagon Waali 14th April 2011 Written Update

Guddu says that today he will committ to his husbands duties for Amma's happiness and today, the moment is right, the customs are right, and the he has the right as a husband. Guddu leans in closer to Runjhun. Runjhun thinks that this is not what she wants so why is it happening. She wants to say no but knows that Guddu will use it as an excuse to get out of the challenge. He will claim that if she can't give him rights as a husband then what right does she have to give the challenge.

As Guddu leans in closer, Runjhun holds up the glass in front of his face and says that Amma..then correts herself and says that she brought milk for him. He takes the glass from her, not before wrapping his fingers around hers. He pulls the glass away and is about to drink it, but decides not to. He tells her that he won't drink milk today or alcohol. Her company is intoxication enough for him. He sets the glass aside, and pulls her pallo away from her head. Runjhun can't help but think of the touch not so long ago, when Guddu had broken her engagement. He removes her chain, then her jhumka from her forehead. Each action deliberate and slow. He next takes off her earrings. Guddu in his mind tells Runjhun to say no just once. He says just one word from her and he will stop with all of this and he will be free from his duties and the challenge. Runjhun clenches her hand on the sheets at every action.

He pulls her hand firmly towards him as he removes her bangles. Runjhun thinks that the one person whose touch sears her soul, is today touching her soul and staking his claim on her mind, and body. She prays for strength and a way out. Guddu on the other hand is getting frustrated. He is wondering why Runjhun isn't protesting. He says he can't go on further, if this goes on, he will truly be her husband in all aspects. He says he can't lose to her, either.

He takes off all her bangles, and lays her down on the bed. Runjhun closes her eyes. Guddu looks at her for a moment and seems taken in by her beauty. He gently pulls out her nose ring and stares at it, and smiles for just a moment before he shakes himself. He mentally scolds himself for straying. He says he's not going to stray from his purpose. He place both hands next to Runjhun, and leans in. He stops and bows his head away, not wanting to touch her. Then he shakes himself mentally again, that he can't lose. He delays as much as he can, and Runjhun finally opens her eyes.

Guddu stops, and Runjhun scared asks him who Neelu is. (Of all things). Guddu is surprised. He tells his dharampatni not to interfere in his matters. He asks her how she knows about Neelu. Runjhun says she heard him mumbling the name in his sleep. Guddu rises, and Runjhun asks him where he is going. He says he is going to hell, and asks her if she wants to come.

He tells her she can forget about the suhaagraat. He can't even bear to stay in the room with her. Runjhun wonders what made Guddu so upset.

The next morning Guddu is fast asleep and Runjhun is sleeping on the floor wide awake. Billo peeks in from the window trying to gauge the situation, but can only see Guddu. Kalsanwali asks Billo what she is doing, and Billo says she's looking to see if the milk did its magic. Guddu never drank the milk, but Kalsanwali says her plans always work. Runjhun comes out with the glass of milk, and Billo tells Kalsanwali she doesn't think so. They decide to follow Runjhun and Billo nearly falls from the window sill.

[CRYPT] Runjhun walks out and wonders who Neelu is that Guddu got so upset. She says there is definitely something there. She sees Amma and hides the milk glass. Amma sees Runjhun and tells her to heat the water for her bath. Runjhun agrees and puts the glass of milk in the fridge. Diamonds comes and calls his parents and takes their blessing. They asks him what's up, and Diamond tells his parents they don't even care about him. He has a to take his important IT exam and they don't even know. Rajju tells Mittho to feed him yogurt, but Mittho says she will feed him milk and brings the glass of milk with the sleeping powder. Billo and Kalsanwali watch as Mittho forces Diamond to drink the milk.

Kalsanwali and Billo say that now Diamond won't bring back results but snores. Kalsanwali tells Billo not to say anything. They go out and give Diamond their blessings. Billo tells Diamond to do well and keep a glass of water next to him. She says if he feels sleepy he can sprinkle water. Diamond is confused and Mittho wonders too. Kalsanwali nudges Billo and explains that whenever she went to give exams she always used to fall asleep. Mittho comes and says that explains why even though she's supposed to be educated her brain is always miles behind. Kalsanwali gets angry at Mittho and wants to attack her but Billo hold her back.

Amma tells Diamond to see Runjhun also. Rajju and Mittho agree. Runjhun comes and announces that Amma's water is ready and Amma leaves. Rajju takes Diamond and his ticket and makes Runjhun read it and touch it. Then lets Diamond go.

Kalsanwali wonders that today will be the ultimate test of Runjhun's fortune. Either Runjhun's fortune will work or the sleeping pills.

Precap: Guddu takes the white kurta and says he's not wearing this. Runjhun says its because she was thinking of going to the mandir. Guddu says he doesn't want to go to any mandir. Runjhun says that his mother's recovery was nothing short of a miracle. If God was merciful on them then the least they can do is thank him. She tells Guddu he can stay if he wants but she will go.
