Health condition of actor Rajanikanth improved

It is well known that Rajnikanth was admitted to the Sri Ram Chandra Hospital here for recurrent respiratory infection and gastro-intestinal problems, is stable and he is spending time with his family members.

According to a statement issued by the hospital, Rajnikanth has undergone relevant investigations and is receiving appropriate and comprehensive treatment by a team of doctors. His fundamental parameters are stable and there is nothing to worry about his health.

The 61 year old superstar was admitted May 13 for detailed investigations into his respiratory and gastro-intestinal problems – the third time in just over three weeks he has been admitted to a hospital.

This is something a strange and unusual situation which happened for Rajini’s Rana. Earlier many insurance companies were eager to provide cover for superstar Rajinikanth’s films but the situation has changed as the companies are on the back foot due to the adverse reports about the Rajini’s ill health.

New India Assurance and United India Insurance who covered the insurance risk for blockbuster hit Enthiran are now not interested to extend insurance coverage for Rana, according to a report by the online edition of a Hyderabad based financial newspaper.

A New India Assurance official said “By take into account of Rajini’s health, it is going to be a chancy proposal for us to provide insurance cover for the movie. We will not consider it any more”.

A senior officer of United India Insurance said “Insurance is given only against the incidence of uncertain events. No company will be undertaking this proposal as the lead star of the film itself is not good at health. Even if any company insures the film the coverage would keep out losses arising as a re­sult of Rajini’s health problems”.

Superstar Rajanikanth's new flick "Rana" kickstarted on March 30

Superstar Rajinikanth’s KS Ravikumar directed Rana, kickstarted on March 30 Wednesday with a photo-shoot  at AVM studios in Chennai.

Rana is a co-production between Ocher Studios and Eros International. The leading lady Deepika Padukone has also flown in to Chennai for the photo-shoot, which will decide the ‘look of the film’. The shoot of Rana will commence end April in London. All preparations and the final star cast will be decided in the next few days.

Super star Rajinikanth’s first animated film produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth has under gone a title change for three times. Initially it was titled as Sultan the Warrior and later it has been changed to Hara. Now as per the snoopy sources it is heard that Hara has been renamed as Rana.

But as of now nothing has been announced officially by the filmmakers. Right now the film is under the heels of completion. Director K.S Ravikumar is going to direct the scenes, where line portions appear. It is also heard that Trisha is going to act in few scenes as asked by the director.

Rajini is going to share the screen space with ‘Anjathey’ fame Vijayalakshmi. Prakash Raj and Rahul Dev are playing important roles in the film. A R Rahman composed five songs for this animated film. The song sequences will be handled by K S Ravikumar himself.

Rajinikanth Donated Lamps For Thiruvannamalai Temple

Superstar Rajinikanth is an ardent devotee of the famous Thiruvannamalai temple. Remember the star has named his popular hits after the ruling deity of the temple like Annamalai and Arunachalam. Rajinikanth’s home banners were also named after the lord like Annamalai Cine Combines which produced Arunachalam and Arunachala Cine Creations which made Padayappa.

Rajinikanth had donated lamps to illuminate the holy “Girivalam” path to ensure that devotees who throng the hill on Pournami nights perform their spiritual duty without any hindrance. The superstar a staunch devotee of Lord Arunachaleswarar has now come forward to offer lamps to decorate the Gopurams of the world renowned shrine. The trustees of the Thiruvannamalai temple had recently approached Rajini with a request to donate lights for the towers. The superstar without batting an eyelid went ahead and has sponsored the gopuram lights.

On hearing about a lighting problem disturbing the illumination of the Temple during this festive season, the actor made sure that enough money be provided to the Temple authorities so that they can use it to purchase superior quality lighting for the Temple. The Sri Arunachaleswarar Temple authorities cannot help but praise the philanthropic act of Rajinikanth, who has also said that he will donate more towards the Temple’s betterment in the future. This just proves that not only Rajinikanth a good actor, he is also a man with a golden heart, in a world that is ruled by commercialism.

Shankar is currently busy in remaking the super hit Hindi film Three Idiots. Vijay is doing the lead role. There is news that after completing this film he will be directing a film which will have Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan in the cast.

When Kamal Haasan was asked about this, he said,” You have been telling that Rajni and I will be acting in a high budgeted film that is to be produced at a cost of Rs 500 Crores and which will be directed by Shankar.
I have not received any information regarding this. I have not got any message from Shankar regarding this. We are planning to hold the FIKKI Media conference in Hyderabad on 1st and 2nd December.

Two thousand delegates will be participating in this conference. The film industry has been very badly affected because of video piracy. This cannot be prevented by politicians or film people. Only the public can prevent this. This can be prevented only by the people if they decide not to watch pirated DVDs.”
