In Tej and Tanyas Room
Toasty is asking Tej what has gotten into him. He laughs and says what has gotten into me? and all that your mom said is fine. That's not what I meant, said Toasty. Tej asks what shes does mean then. [He standing all angry, with his arms crossed too. I think he gone cukoo now too. Thanks Pashu] Toasty says I agree what my mom said has hurt you, and I agree that she was wrong to but. But what Tej says, but what. The truth is that even today, I'm wrong, like I always am. Toasty says I didn't mean that, what I mean is that the way you talked to her was wrong, i was telling her the same thing but you wouldn't listen, if I had said the same thing to her it wouldn't have hurt her that badly. Just as much as you respect my mom, she respects you too. Tej says yes but this respect doesn't mean anything because if they don't respect my family then i don't care for such respect. Tej says oh and let your mom know, that she better not poke her nose in our business again. I use to let it go before, because I thought she was worried about you but not anymore. This is wrong. Toasty is really annoyed, she says what are you talking about. Try to look at it from her view, she is a mother. She has given her daughter away to another family. She will be worried. If someone yells at her daughter, it will hurt her. But you don't have to understand this. Okay fine, I will tell my mom never to say anything about the affairs of this house. But your harsh word and how much they have hurt my mother, you will never understand. You talked to her in the wrong way and that's it.
* FlashBack*
Tej remembers when Malti was yelling at Pashu. Telling him that he doesn't respect her mother and talk to her in a nice manner. Pashu tells her but what about all the wrong she has done. Malti says you are always looking for an excuse to put her down and dis-respect her. She only comes for two days and you guys make such a big issue. Maltis mom says if they don't want her here then why don't they just say it. Pashu says so that you can tell the whole world how bad we are, that your son in law kicked you out. Malti says what do you want. Pashu says I just want peace and tell your mom that she is a guest and act like one too. She shouldn't get involved in our matters. Malti asks what did she to. Pashu asks Tej to tell them. Tej says she was talking to the neighbour and she said that Prachin never studies, he just do all this stupid stuff all day. Malti says that's true though, he never studies. All he does is make stuff or talk to plants. Tej says yes but your mom also said that Prachin is half crazy. Maltis mom says I never said that, your neighbour did. Pashu said yes but you were there too and you didn't say anything. You never once thought to tell them off.
Tej says she also said Ved goes to the chai store every day to sit with those strange boys. Malti says but he does go to the chai store. Pashu says yes he does, but only sometimes not everyday. Also I know why he goes there too. Malti says well I wanna know. Pashu says its because of your mom. Last time when I told Ved to come home early what did your mom do. She stopped him at the door and told him that when your sister in law is home alone, you shouldn't be in the house. So what can the poor guy do, he has to go sit at the chai store and wait for me to come home. And by the way those boys at the chai store aren't strange, they are from this neighbourhood. We all know them. He goes there and teaches them good stuff. Maltis mom says of course stand up for your brothers. Pashu says I shouldn't. Malti says well I cant stand up for my mom. Pashu says but she's wrong. She has no right to poke her nose in our affairs. Malti says adn you have no right to talk to her like that. Pashu tells her to stop talking nonsense. Malti says or else what are you going to do, strangle me? Just kill me then. Finish this all.
* Flash back ends*
Tej looks at Toasty and remembers Veds words, that the same thing is happening. Tej run and slams the door. Toasty is sitting on her bed crying.
At the Sharmas
Toastys mom is pacing the room. She wonder why Tej spoke to her like that. He has never spoken to her like that. Then she realizes that this means that even Tej is not supporting Toasty. And what lady was Tej talking about. They only have men in that house. I don't understand what's happening. What should I do, should I tell him or not. There is no help even if I tell him, but still I need to tell him, the matter is of such manner. My poor daughter.
In Pashus room
Ved is asking Pashu if he really has eaten something other wise he will make something. Pashu says he has, Ved should too. Ved says he's not hungry Pashu says if he can't lie properly then why does he. His reasons for not eating are his own, Ved can eat. Ved says I don't need a reason, if he doesn;'t eat, then he wont too. Pashu says look Ved, if one person is mad its fine, if everyone is mad then its not. Go eat.
In Dadajis room
Gyan is putting medication on Dadajis legs. He asks if she should put this one or another one. Dadaji tells him to stop putting it on. He says I;m wondering what medication I can put on everyone's cuts and scraps today. Sometimes our happiness gets our evil eye. Just a few days ago I was thinking, how happy we all are. Everyone has accepted Toasty and life was how it use to be. Thats when it got the evil eye. Gyan says yes but how long will this all last. Dadaji says I don't know. Gyan asks if they can do something. Dadaji says sometimes there are things that we can't fix, we have to leave it up to God. Gyan says yes but you always say that God only helps those that help themselves. Dadaji says yes but not in this case. That doesn't work for problems that we ourselves created. Gyan is confused.

He remembers the whole voting incident. There were 4 yeses and 3 nos.

He says whats happening is what I feared.
In Pashus Room
Pashu is still shocked that Prachin won't talk to him. Ved says he's just angry. Just wait till he gets home. Pashu says what was Tej saying, go to his friends house. Ved says no he was saying we should go to his college to find him and he was right. Pashu says no you were right. He can study anywhere. Where will he stay. It must be at friends house. He needs a place to stay and he can't stay at a hotel. He has no money. Pashu says lets go find him, We will surely be able to catch him now at this time of night.
At the Sharmas
Toastys dad asks Sudha whats wrong. Toastys mom says we have to go to Toastys house now. Toastys Dad asks why, is everyone fine. She says all are fine but we need to go. She tells him all that happened. She also says I've been telling you for so long, my daughter is not happy there. But you never listened to me. Now do you agree. Her dad says I also think we should go talk to them. She says lets go. He says no not now. Its too late at night. We'll go in the morning. Its now time to get a few things cleared.
At the Chaturs
Tej is sitting down all sad. Toasty sits next to him and asks if he will always stay like this. He tell her not to talk to her, he is going crazy. Toasty just sits there. He asks why she is still sitting there, go to bed and go to sleep. She says yes let's go. Tej asks why she is ruining her sleep for him? Toasty asks who else should ruin her sleep for then? Tej answers that she should for someone who respects her parents. She says that I'm am ruining my sleep for him, but he's a sort of mad right now, he's kind of changed. Tej asks what's wrong with women, you spend all this time trying to change us and when we start to change you come to us and tell us not to.
In the courtyard
Ved and Pashu come back with some food. Ved asks what should we do, we have searched everywhere asked all of his friends and we can't find him. Pashu says I think his friend that lives in the hostel is lying. Prachin was there. Ved says I think you are right ( omg Pashu ka yes manSilly) cause he took a while to answer the door. Pashu says I'm so stupid I should have just gone in. Ved says yes but the guard.
Back to Tej and Tanya
Tanya says she has heard this joke before and hugs him from behind. ( I'm assuimg that women changing thing was a joke. That's weird I didn't find it funny). Tej pushes her off and says that well now you have seen that joke become real. Tanya says she is sorry for all that she said in her anger. Tej says why are you saying sorry, after all you are a girl. My mom, mom dad, my house and when she gets married then not even one of her in laws things is hers. Toasty says there is one thing that's hers. Her husband. Tej says yes that true but only after her mom and dad, because mommy and daddy are always more hers than her husband. am i right? Toasty says what kind of question are you asking me, its like saying which one of my eyes is more important to me. Tej says no, because your left eye is your dad and your right eye is your mom. I'm not even there. Toasty starts laughing and saying that that is the funniest line. Your right eye is your dad. Tej says left, left eye is your dad. Toasty says yes, left eye is your dad and right eye is your mom and I'm nothing. Tej laughs.
Back to Ved and Pashu
Pashu says just wait till he gets here. Ved says we always think about the future, but it never happens how we want it. Ved says when we find Prachin. Pashu says that's if we find him. We willl find him. Ved says yes, why not. He just angry right now. He will come home
Back to Tej and Tanya
Tej says to stop making this a joke. Tanya says why you didn't find what you said funny. He says no, she says yes. He says no. She begins to tickle him and says now is it. He starts laughing and says you are making him laugh. Toasty tells him then stop laughing. She says that you are right. My parents are my eyes but you are my heart. He says yes but you know what we all are going through right now right. She says I know and I will talk to my mom and let her know, I will also tell her your funny line too. LOL
Back to Ved and Pashu
Ved tells Pashu not to be worried and eat something. You told all of us that you have eaten but you haven't I know. Pashu says but who knows if he has eaten. (Prachin). He feels a plant. He says he can't eat without these golu, pappus. Pashu is holding back his tears. He is bothering me. Pashu walks into the home.
Tej is chasing Toasty. He says don't tell her about that line, its embarrassing. Toastys says which line and starts teasing him.
Ved and Pashu see all this. Pashu says see ved in the house, one brother is missing, there are all these charges against the big brother and there is also a game of cat and mouse here. and on top of that I am told that I am the one that only cares about myself. They walk off. Toasty and Tej have their hands on their foreheads.
Precap
Toasty mom is yelling at Tej in front of the whole family. She says I use to think that maybe Toasty wasn't happy here. I asked her many times too but she would always cover it up. When a girl goes to a new house she has problems. Sometimes with the mother in law, sometimes with the sister in law, sometimes with someone else in the family. But its all fine when her husband, her life partner is with her. But now I have lost all that trust in you. What you said to me really hurt me. She grabs Toasty...

wow what an episode! I'm glad that Tej and Tanya made up! I was getting worried, but they both really love each other. I feel bad for Pashu and the rest of the family but after seeing that flashback I have some sympathy for Malti and yes even her mom. Weird I know. It all seems like a big misunderstanding and the root of the problem being Pashu thinking that everyone is leaving him. I think after his moms death he felt like he needed to keep the family in one piece. So even Maltis mom, unintentional backtalking as it were seems like she is against the family and breaking it and he is scared of that. That's why he's scared of Toasty too. He thinks she is taking everyone away form her. Pashus has a good heart like how much he cares for Prachin but still. And Ved needs to stop agreeing to everything Pashu says, it only makes it worse!
This show is as close to real as you can get. In the case of divorce, you can see where both sides were wrong. Like Tej, making such a small thing in the flashback a big issue. I also want to say hats off the the writers again. They wonderfully showed the pressures of a son in law who is jumping back and forth from family and wife as he wants to make both happy. But mostly how the show the daughter in laws struggles. She goes into a new family, where she is constantly having to chose between her parents, the reason she is here and her in laws. Her in laws say she is their daughter, they say all of this is hers, but when it comes down to it, its really not. She becomes the outsider. As it is now, how everyone is blaming her, even Tej. No daughter can handle the blatant disrespect of her parents be it Malti or Toasty. And if she chose either side, even slightly she will always have the losing hand.
