Pratigya 2nd March 2011 Written Update

Pratigya completes her chores and tries opening the locked door but finds herself unable to open it…Pratigya is perplexed and is wondering at the phenomenon of the locked door..when she becomes aware of the window that has opened quietly,Pratigya turns and encounters a menacing Shakthi watching her silently from the other side of the window .Pratigya is startled ..Shakthi slowly open’s his palms and displays box of matches , A faint tendril of Fear sneaks through Pratigya ..Pratigya looks at him and then quickly casts a look at the kerosene ..as if by a signal, Shakthi lights up the match stick ..Fear, various degrees of fear’s race through her psyche..Pratigya tries not to display her fear, but Shakthi is not fooled..Shakthi smirks and walks off..The door is opened by Piyasiya who is surprised to see the kerosene spilled , before she can start her 20 Question’s..Pratigya orders her to Mop up and rushes out , only to be brought to halt by Shakthi who taunts her ..Pratigya just glares at him and is moving towards her room ..but Pratigya is stopped by Amma who orders her to start preparing lunch.Pratigya nods her head and moves to comply with Amma’s diktat..Pratigya moves into kitchen and gulps down water , Kesar watches this and is concerned , Kesar lays her hand and Pratigya jumps ..but recovers fast and puts up a normal front

Ghanti Dadi cannot put up with the harsh treatment of Pratigya and remonstrates with Amma.Amma informs Ghanti daadi that she was to run a tight house and will not allow any screws to turn loose and also tells Ghanti Dadi not to give so free a hand to Pratigya.

Meanwhile Shakthi and Amma are all alone in the living room and Shakthi is relating the events of the store room and having a good laugh about it ..Shakthi says that this is the beginning and he has planned many such tricks to scare Pratigya ..Amma eagerly tells Shakthi to take her with him when he is employing one of his trick cos She wants to witness fear on Masterni’s face.Both have good laugh .Amma recollects some work and moves away from the hall living Shakthi alone..Pratigya steps out of the kitchen and walks measuredly towards the hall.

Shakthi too gets up and meets her halfway..Pratigya glares at him, Shakthi gives his wicked and mocking smile and proceeds to extract even more pleasure out of tormenting Pratigya but Pratigya will not be cowed this time …Shakthi taunts Pratigya saying, “Now that you are acquainted with the plot, Run and tell Baba ..he will come striding to protect you” Pratigya retorts ” I do not want my husband’s attention to be diverted from his work and yes ..Just bec I am silent , don’t take that as fear ” Shakthi taunts her further , Pratigya gives a fitting reply saying that henceforth if Shakthi even tried another Sick prank like that, she will be retaliating in kind..Shakthi is silenced ..

Krishna arrives from work, and is all set to get some extra TLC from his meherau and Bhudau ..but Shakthi has to be the proverbial Haddi ..He comes in and loudly wonders whether Krishna did go to work or was he whiling away the day with his good for nothing frnds..Krishna makes a half hearted protest ..Shakthi is relentless and keeps at Krishna..Pratigya is moved to defend her Pati Parameshwar only for Shakthi to tag Krishna as Joru Ka Ghulam..Krishna has had enough , Krishna exasperatedly retorts that Shakthi is welcome to sit in the house and moreover He will be the first person to see the wages that Krishna will be handing over at the end of the week, so saying Krishna walks off into his room.Shakthi is still not convinced , Shakthi realizes that Krishna may very well get the money , but he si equally confident that Krishna is not working.

Krishna is letting steam in his bedroom ..while Pratigya is listening on silently without replying ..after the steam runs out..Pratigya calmly hands over his night wear to Baba ..Baba goes into the mythical room changes and brings out his day wear out..Pratigya takes it from him and begins to hang it in the closet when the red pawn from the carom pops out..Both Krishna and Pratigya look at it ………..

AT RESERVE BANK OF MUMFORDGANJ

Komal happily skips into her room,closes all the door and windows,opens the closet and begins counting the notes when Nainaji knocks on the door and calls out to Komal.Komal is stunned and is witless for a moment…recovering her scattered wits , she hurriedly stuffs the stash and open the door..On Nainaji’s enquiry,Komal blithely replies that she was trying out some new outfits , so closed the door..Nainaji makes an understanding face and then asks Komal , if she has any money to buy some vegetables but Komal replies that Adarsh never hands her any cash and she does not have it ..nainaji nods her head and moves away ..

Sajjan Singh tells a servant to give a wad of cash to Kesar’s parent’s house and also inform them that Kesar is pregnant and they have the permission to keep her with them for a while..Amma looks on Shocked while Kesar is wondering..
