Nothing lasts forever they say.How true this was proved today! The euphoria of the weekend was completely washed away first by a ridiculous at best episode and then by the heart breaking news again of Mishal being replaced by actors I don’t know at all. But whatever the truth I urge fellow LTLians to keep the faith and enjoy what is in front of us in the present. The maha episode left us with the Patil clan locked up in a dingy storeroom.Let us go check on their fate today:
Scene 1: THE CROWNING OF THE NEW QUEEN
Episode begins with Kala monitoring the locked up Patil family on her CCTV monitors and gloating over their predicament. (There will come a time Kalawati when these very ppl will be watching you through a barred window as you lie in a cell alone but they will not be gloating ). Suds happy as a new Dulha (groom) gaily enters the room accompanied by the BGs.He is rejoicing over their triumph on the overthrow of Duttadom. Kala turns to look at D’s throne & Suds too is salivating all over the front of his shirt.His eyes & body language fully expect Kalawati to come to him coyly like some apsara & lead the newly crowned king to his throne.But alas! Tough luck,Suda. (Tere toh shakal pe hi likha hai! “Jee Huzoor”! You are born just to do bidding of some Patil or the other:Leela, Dutta & now Kala) Kala lovingly pulls the chair out & carefully ensconces herself in it.Suds’s air is let out slowly. (Honestly my whole room was stinking.!) Suds badly wants to pull a gun on her but somehow bites the bullet. Kala declares that she is the new queen of Patilwadi: Tayi Saheb. She looks like an evil, deranged ten year old sitting with her finger on a trigger of a nuclear bomb. She asks Suds isn’t the sound of her new moniker sweet? Suds wants to smash her face but smiles as if having a toothache. Kala then turns her attention back to the CCTV monitors.
Scene 2:PAGAL NIWAS IS BIGG BOSS HOUSE
Cut to the store room. The family is sitting bewildered with sweet little Roops crying buckets. Baji is fuming mad & looking around at each wall. Nakusha stands beside AS looking sad.Baji says there must be cameras in here too where Kala can see & hear us too. (U don’t know if there is one or no? You installed them,na? No wonder you are locked up like the bumbling baboon you are.) AS tells him let her hear everything.Let her know what her mother thinks of her.
Scene 3: KALA’S THRONE ROOM
Kala is enjoying their misery & tells Suds look how much attitude Baji still has. Suds calls her Kala to which she gives an arresting look when he quickly corrects himself calling her Tayi Saheb. Kala bestows him with a pleased look. (Haye re teri phooti kismet Suda!) Suds grinds his teeth & tells her he has brought in new recruits & then asks in four more hatte khatte BGs in the room.Kala instructs them to look for D’s men & ask for their allegiance to the new regime.She orders anyone who opposes to be killed instantly. She orders out Suds too to join them who first is startled like “Who? Me? then meekly follows the others out like a little doggie. Kala gloats over her new found power & recites her “Bhala Buraa ” dialog”yawn, yawn” but instead of Kala she adds Tayi Saheb
Scene 4: JAIL HOUSE
AS laments her fate that her daughter wants to kill her own mother. She asks what will she achieve destroying her whole family. (Oh!AS you have no idea how much hair we have lost here at the forum figuring that out) Even an enemy should not get a daughter like her. She apologizes to Nakku for her behavior on the Shok Sabha day. She wonders how she could not know about her for so long.Baji looks disgusted & Nakku looks sad. Kishore comforts his MIL saying he too was taken in by her act & a lot of this is his fault too. ( You got that right,buddy! If only you had bit of spine in you) He says how will he live with so much burden on his back. ( The same way you have been living for the past ten years, my man! Happily singing bhajans & attending jaagrans leaving your dear wife to slap,poison, shoot, plant bombs ppl left right & centre.) Leela pips in with her mourning that she never thought her beloved Suds would try & kill her sweet bro. AS then folds her hands to ask forgiveness to both of them for getting them married to such monsters.Baaji looks more disgusted. Some more confession from Nakusha this time.She asks forgiveness from AS for not telling them about Kala early. AS & the rest look shocked. She says she was under the impression that she only hated me but only now has come to know after the accident she also hates her brother. (Now I’m shocked.Didn’t Kala tell her right away that she was the one behind the Supriya Elopement.That was out of hatred for Nakusha? Come on girl! No need to make excuses.We all know how “mums” the word for you!) AS consoles her that even if she had said anything no one would have believed her.Kishore adds that even if they had known nothing could have been prevented.Who would have thought Kala will stoop so low? (Anyone with an ounce of brain in them, Dada). Nakusha continues that she did not want to trouble anyone with Kala’s truth when everybody was in a shocked state. She wanted to wait for Saab to return. AS tells her not to blame herself for anything. Nakusha continues further that she thought if Kala is exposed everything will be alright (How?) But the game got ruined. (Game! Voila! Spoken like a true blue Kala opponent). AS says even if she dies now she will die so happily coz she will be on truth’s side. AS makes Nakku sit beside her & asks about D. Nakku assures her D is alright but surrounded by enemies and will soon come ASAP. Baaji says with feeling that Bhao would have never dreamt that Kalawati is his biggest enemy.
Then suddenly the baby (Baby Roops re) throws a fit saying she hates them all, all meaning Kala & her Jeeju & starts bawling revealing her true age. Her screams have a very soothing effect on Kalavati who smiles placidly.
Scene 5: TERROR ON THE STREETS
Suds & his minions are on the streets rounding up all of D’s men. Some are beaten up mercilessly while others who threaten him with Bhao’s name are shot dead point blank. (We all are waiting to see u run in ur underpants on these very streets when D is chasing u with a gun, Ullu ) The camera flits between these scenes & Kala gloating in her Throne Room.
Scene 6: MUMMMA PAAAANI “BOO HOOO” COMIC RELIEF
In the haste to lock up the family Kala it seems forgot to pack in Roops feeding bottle. She is now thirsty and starts annoying AS for water.AS looks about bewildered & curses Kala for not providing even water. Everybody looks around at the old furniture as if water would start flowing from them. Baji says she is heartless woman as Roops continues her tantrum for water. ( I’m seriously speechless. She is 26 yrs old na? Baji Bhai, once all this is over run away with Madhu to London warna lifetime iss sirphiri ke liye paani bharte rahoge.)
Scene 7: KALA’S ROOM
Kala is relishing a cool glass of champagne while her family lies in a dark room thirsty & miserable. Suds is back with his chamchas. Kala says you must have shed a lot of blood today, I can smell it till here.Suds is mighty pleased & answers whoever is present here are the only survivors of the D company. D Regime is over hoots Suds.Kala exhales happily & asks him to call her Kala. Suds is happy & says we are not here to make relations .Its purely business & they both are partners. Kal looks at him like “Right, Dream on,fool”. She replies,” What partner? From now on U R My Baaji,Sudarshan,OKIE?” Suds is stunned as if slapped but assents. Kala then asks for salt & chilli powder & then sends Suds on bring in Baaji & Nakku. Suds leaves to carry out the latest order.
Scene 8: ROOPS KI COMEDY CONTINUES
Cut back to the imprisoned family. Everybody is sitting tensed when Roops starts in on Nakku this time asking her going out pronto & bring back their Bhao so that he can rescue them soon out of there. Nobody knows where to look. Baji looks irritated but don’t know if generally or at Roops. Nakku answers both of us went looking but’.she falters a bit. Leela understands her hesitation & tells her we supported Kala so you are hesitating to tell us.Its okay if u don’t want to reveal we deserve this sort of distrust. But we will never again support that woman who took away your husband from you.We hate that woman.Nakku is made to feel guilty & she finally blurts out “Shree Ram Nagar”. (Superb! When the situation calls for u to speak you zip it up tightly.Now is the time to shut it.There is a camera in the room, Nakku ) Baji is bit wary.The screen freezes for the day on Nakku.
Precap: Baji is mercilessly beaten up by Suds while Nakku is asked to reveal her husband’s whereabouts.Suds shoots at Baji & Nakku is shown screaming.Kala looks on worriedly.
A filler episode but a necessary one to tie up the loose ends of the Maha episode. MV was off key today but the others did what they were supposed to do. No D today & looks like he will put in an appearance only in tomorrow’s precap. Hope the pace picks up hereon & we get to see the major showdown between Dutta Bhao Patil & Kala Kishore Rao soon.
